It was prolonged and then at the very end it was like zoom fast forward everything. Wasn’t hard to read. I somewhat enjoyed it but also could have done without reading it. Very typical mafia book

Love on the run

Its a pretty good story with a few gun fights and a bit of learning to love... There are a few places the characters seem too well its just a few times he thinks or says something that just seems more feminine than a masculine... But other than that it's really good. I think this authors perspective of mafia maybe is another point that seems off but I guess It is more because her characters seem to depend on being wise guys rather than just being best friends and family... I guess I find that harder to grasp because they only seem loosely linked together... Nico is a friend of Daunte but the history you get is he's been a wise guy all his life... I think Daunte was born into the life... I kinda think if Nico was a cousin or something it may have more structure more of a reason that Daunte is willing to back him up... Otherwise the relationship between Daunte and Nico needs to be substantial... Like Nico saved him or he is a proven and loyal friend... I think its maybe just a missing paragraph but it would make it a better more fluid story... I am being picky though its a good story.

I loved this story about Nico and Aurora.

Nico has always thought Aurora was gorgeous, but as his sister's best friend, she was off limits for his usual one and done way of life. Aurora has always had a crush on Nico, but as her bestie's brother her was off limits.

Now, Francesca has gotten into trouble, and once again Aurora goes running to her friend's aid... only to witness a murder. Now Aurora is on the run, and Nico is running with her as her bodyguard.

The off limits labels are still in place.. but can they continue to deny their attraction when they're forced into such close quarters? What happens when they give in and Aurora becomes pregnant with his baby? Will Nico run at the first chance, or will he be the man Aurora and their child need?

Great story. Absolutely loved Nico. When he falls, he goes all in... loved the characters, fantastic plot, lots of steam and adventure... can't go wrong with this book!.

After one party goes wrong Aurora and Nico are on the run to stay safe. But being close together for so long they cant push away the physical feelings they have for each other. Aurora ends up pregnant and Nico wants to push those feelings for her away.

Aurora was such a strong FMC. She handled everything she went through so well. She had to push aside her feelings for Nico while he was figuring them out for himself. The spice level was 2/5. The plot was there but the ending was a little odd. It didn't really give us a solid layout of what really happened in the end. I ended up going back and seeing if i was missing something. Other than that issue I did enjoy this book.

I really enjoyed this book so much! While a standalone, it follows Mafia Boss's Surprise Baby and Dante and Mia are in this book as well but not as the main characters. This time we see the story of Aurora Costa and Nico Andretti. Nico's sister Francesca plays an important part of this story as well since she is best friends with Aurora...actually they're as close as sisters would be. Francesca gets in a bit of trouble and Aurora gets mixed up in the mess and Nico ends up having to keep her safe away from everyone. So there's plenty of time for them to get to know each other better even though they've known each other for many years....just not like this and Aurora has always had a major crush on Nico but he's not one for relationships. Lots of excitement, suspense, danger and steamy moments throughout the book. A wonderfully written story that had me glued to the pages!!.

Verdict- recommended, especially if you like Mafia Romance.

Kira Cole nails it again! Nico and Aurora’s story is action-packed, riveting, emotionally charged slow burn at its best! Nico is a stubborn, willful, dangerous enforcer who buried his emotions deep inside in order to survive and do his job. When his sister’s best friend, Aurora, witnesses a murder, Nico is thrown into protector mode—and forced to face emtions and feelings—as he protects a vulnerable and insecure Aurora, who has secretly been in love with him since she was a young teen. Sparks fly, her angst explodes, drama and danger and thrills fill the pages of this well-written and entertaining novel. As with all of Kira Cole’s books, I could not put this one down and can’t wait to see which characters’ love story she writes next!.

Once I started I couldn’t put it down. Each chapter moves in sync and you get both POVs … makes the emotions so much more.

Aurora…curvy best friend of Nicos sister and she has ALWAYS been in love with him. All of them are part of the Mafia family and the side effects of that life is what Nico likes.

Nico… an extremely hot 🥵 man. A wise guy who doesn’t stay with a woman for more than three nights. Not interested in a real and NEVER plans to be in love.

The Mafia interferes and Nico ends up spending a lot of time with Aurora as h protects her. His unwillingness to change tears at the heart strings.

Even though a Mafia story it is also a romance … we get to watch a wise guy grow and become more than just a cold shell.

I tried,but after an entire book of her whining about her weight and desirability,and him not wanting to stop sleeping around with other women,I threw in the towel. DNF after one too many " I'm fat and ugly and no one will ever love me" remarks. It was aggravating and annoying how she called herself unattractive about every other page,and how Nico was like "I like screwing her,but I also want to screw other women. " That is not a stance I appreciate from my book characters. I wanted Marco to shoot him, Francesca,AND Aurora. The only person I liked in this book was Bruno. He didn't deserve to have some slutty fling who didn't even care for him get him killed. My opinion only. Feel free to read and form your own. But don't say you weren't warned

Wow, this had me riveted to my seat reading this book I just couldn't get enough, the story had me captivated and the characters were really sensational. This story was about Aurora and Nico, Aurora always run to Francesca aid when in trouble and one time she did she had seen something she shouldn't have, now she hides away from them. Nico is the brother to Francesca she needs him to protect her best friend. When he was close to Aurora he felt things so now he thinking, how can he let her go when he has delt withtheproblem. .

This book has it all murder, mayhem, mischief, Mafia, and hot steamy seduction scenes.

Nico is the last man anyone would want their best friend to be with, even if he wasn't your brother. But Francesca decides to be with the wrong kid of man putting her bestie and brother in danger and close quarters.

The only logical outcome is that Aurora ends up pregnant, now it's just a matter of keeping both of them safe before a killer finds her. How easy will it be for Nico to go back to his playboy ways when she's safe and will he be willing to just co-parent with her or want more?.

OMG!!! Another great book. I enjoyed all her brilliant mafia stories. This author Kira Cole out did herself once again with another marvelous mafia story. It was a hot steamy page turner and the suspense was dangerous. I couldn’t put it down and I was at the edge of my seat. It was and action packed of murder, mayhem, mischief, murder and conflict. Nico and Aurora romance were very intense with a lot of emotions of romance and love. Nico was a mafia enforcer who was stubborn and very much dangerous. But and unexpected pregnancy is mixed up this mafia bad boy life? I highly recommend this book. I am voluntarily leaving a honest review. Trina Jones

This book was ok... I felt like Aurora was a little too whiny but overall she was likable. Nico is he brothers Best friend and she has had a crush on him for a long time. She witnesses something she wasn't supposed to and has to go on the run. Nico is trying to protect her and they start giving into their feelings. When Aurora ends up pregnant Nico doesn't want to give up his playboy lifestyle as he "doesn't do" relationships. They go through some ups and downs and the ending was.... odd.... didn't feel like it tied up anything... Have to check out the next one to find out maybe.....

Aurora has been aware of Nico for a while and has a crush on him. But he's forbidden since he's her best friend's brother. He's also in the mafia, so being around and with him carries an element of danger for sure. The two of them are at a party and danger comes to call. Nico protects Aurora by taking her away and making sure that she stays safe and cared for. The more time that they spend together, the greater the attraction becomes. Watching Nico fall for Aurora and Aurora's crush deepen into love was amazing! I love both of these characters and even though the story seems a bit far fetched, it's still possible.

Wow another great book!
This one is about Aurora, who witnesses a mafia murder and goes on the run with Nico her best friend's brother.
I enjoyed the slow build of the relationship. Even though they had known each other for years, it still was a slow build especially for Nico.
It was fast paced, loads of action and suspense, as well as the welcome romance and steam.
Kira gives us great Mafia books with unique characters. Highly recommended.

Aurora and Francesca are best friends they go to a party where Aurora sees a murder. Now she is on the run with Francesca's brother who is keeping her safe from Marco who is on the hunt for her.
Passions ignite as they are on the run. And the book has some delicious steamy moments. But Nico and his I don't want to get tied down ways made me want to punch him more than once! Lol
The book was a great read though, great storyline and bit of action and some romance at the end for that HEA!.

A cute read

This is the 2nd book in the series and it is very good. The h is the best friend of the H’s sister, they have been friends for a long time. The sister gets into some trouble which causes the h to witness a murder. The H has to protect her and they go on the run. The h has always had a crush on her H, along the way, they start an affair and she ends up pregnant. The H doesn’t believe in relationships or love but he ends up falling for her. There is the violence and hot sex scenes. The characters were very good. Great ending.

This story is about Aurora and Nico, and his sister Mia. Mia is not easy and often gets into trouble just like now and needs the help of her best friend Aurora and brother Nico. There is chemistry and attraction between them and Nico knows that he cannot touch Aurora and he finds that difficult because the feelings cannot be pushed away. There are some exciting moments in their story and you hope that they can survive with all the bad guys after them, and can Nico keep his sister and Aurora safe?

A good mafia read. Aurora is the best friend of Nico’s sister. She has crushed on Nico since she was young. She unfortunately see something she shouldn’t and Nico vows to protect her.

Nico is a playboy and has no interest in giving his life style up. But while in hiding, Nico and Aurora give in to the undeniable attraction they have for each other.

Book has plenty of suspense, drama and intense steamy moments that have the reader craving more.

Kira Cole is a great story teller. She should Aurora and Nico relationship grow even though he believed he could notbe in love because of being part of the Mafia. It starts with a murder that Aurora witnesses and then with Nicos help goes on the wrong. They get closer and even though she is in love with he doesn't believe he can love anyone. There is some violence, anger and lots of teasing and passion. I recommend that you give it a try.

This is Book 2 in the Alpha Mafia Daddies Series by this author. It is an off limits romance between Nico and his sister's best friend, Aurora. These two flawed but likeable souls and the unique plot make for an intriguing read. It is a love story with drama and steam, danger and suspense, sexual tension and chemistry, and twists and turns, plus appealing secondary characters to keep the reader interested. An engaging page turner.

I loved how he always made sure to remind her of how perfect, pretty and awesome her body is when she felt insecure.

The way that dress was his wake up call? LOVED THAT SCENE

It was really a long game of him not wanting to give up his „old“ life, but also loving to be with her. In the end it felt a bit rushed but I’m not complaining because I was MAD At him for making her feel like she only deserved a certain amount of time with him, and that she always thought that when they get home she would lose him.

I loved Aurora and his sister somehow got on my nerves, can’t really explain it maybe I’m just more like Aurora so I really struggled with Francesca’s behavior. But in the end she was there for her, hated her for making her feel like her brother was „too good“ for her

Kira Cole has done it again! What an amazing balance between suspense and spice. Aurora witnesses a murder and then must depend on her best friends brother to keep her safe and alive. The only major issue is he happens to be her teenage crush .To Aurora's surprise Nico gives in and things go from zero to hundred in the spice level. To watch these two fight, make up and struggle with their feeling keeps you turning page after page just to see what happens next. Great job and must read!.

This is a good falling in love story with some ups and downs and a little thriller too. It's not so much about the Mafia as a falling in love story. I took one star away because the FMC is too whiny/crier all the time. I began to think Nico should step back from her for his own sake. I liked the writing style of the author and look forward to reading more of her books.

Decent read, but everything is overshadowed by Nico's constant denial of his feelings because of which, he kept overlooking Aurora and blowing her off. The things he said to her were hurtful, and Aurora kept going back for more and more rejection. I mean, even if the D is good, girl have some self respect. Francesca was almost unremorseful of the role she played in it all. This girl needed to grovel for what she put her friend and brother through. The spice is good though.

Whilst I did really enjoy this book, something was missing for me I just can’t pinpoint it. I loved all the characters especially Mia and Dante and the others. I feel the action at the end was a bit rushed and left a few questions unanswered and I really would’ve liked more of a back story of the MFC and then an extended epilogue. But overall this is a pretty good book and is a good beginners book for mafia lovers and fans of the surprise pregnancy trope.
