This book was good but not as good as the other 2. The last book should be the best one. It also started out kinda slow but it got better and ended up being really good at the end. Overall, it was a good series.
Very good read. I enjoyed the book with all it’s twists & turns. I’m glad that everyone’s experiences helped them to develop into the people they became at the end. Dane was a sneaky man & it profited him nothing. Good job Meesha .
Well I could have done without the explicit sex scenes but the rest of the story was pretty good...and there were some twists I didn't see coming. I did not know this was part of a series but I didn't need to read the other two to enjoy this book.
“Suga”, Sophie Alvarez’s world is about to take a severe turn. She is the wifey of loan shark Dane. All she wants is for Dane to go legit so they can marry and start a family. When the house is raided, Suga has to make some tough decisions. Her life gets even crazier when she tries to run Dane’s business.
Suga also learns some information about her father and his past that changes her perception of her father and her relationships with friends of her past.
Not having read the first two books in this series, I did not know the background of Suga and Dane. But I was easily able to follow along and enjoy Real Wifey’s Hustle Hard. Once I got past the profanity and an understanding of the “street talk” I was hooked.
I enjoyed Sophie. She stayed strong to who she is not giving in to marry Dane until he goes legal and also not letting her education go to waste and go for the “easy life”. Sophie also showed her smarts, not just book smarts but street smarts. When she has to be self-sufficient she proved she could. She was also loyal. Loyal to those who were loyal to her, a friend you could count on. She will also call you out if she doesn’t believe in what they are doing.
There was a lot of profanity, which does nothing for me, but it was necessary due to the settings of the book. The sex was rather graphic and sometimes did not add much to the plot, but again I understand some of it was necessary due to the settings.
I did enjoy the book, but probably will not read the first two in this series. If profanity and sex does not bother you, the you will enjoy Real Wifey’s Hustle Hard. This is definitely not a book for everyone, but it does have great characters and a catching plot, some will truly enjoy it.
This is my favorite book from the Real Wifey's series.
Dane and Suga were definitely opposites, yet perfect for each other. Dane was a ruthless hustler that made mad money in the streets, but never let the streets take over his love for Suga.
Suga, a college graduate, working in cooperate America was a book smart chic, but street smart, she was not. She had fallen in love with Dane in high school, from there they were inseparable.
The Love Story of Dane and Suga is passionate and reckless because of Dane's affiliation with the streets. The real trouble begins when Dane is forced to collect on a debt that ends in murder.
This book is a fast paced page turner that gives you a heavy dose of erotica, suspense and street lit!!!
This was Sophie's story. This was the most interesting installment of the series. There was good movement, some character development, interesting dynamic between the couples, betrayal, inflated egos, pedophilia and character crossovers that tied all 3 books together. All of these elements combined to make an interesting tale. I would have enjoyed the first 2 books much more if this formula was executed. The only things that could have made this story better was less label/brand name dropping, less of Sophie's inner monologues and removing some of the sex scenes. They didn't add much to the story.
Another fun read. This one ties up and explains the relationships between the main characters in each of the three books in the Real Wifeys series. There were some bizarrely unbelievable moments where two queer ladies just start having sex right in front of the main character, which takes you out of the story, but overall this was an engaging, sexy, interesting read. I’d recommend picking the series up.
I started this book not digging Ms. Suga. She jus wasn't my type of chick. As the story went on Suga starts to come in2 her own and service a purpose. I enjoyed the book. It wasn't the best but it was good in its own right.
I enjoyed Suga& Dane's realationship, they where really down for each other , but his boy Keno was grimmy from the beginning , I was shocked at what Suga found out about her Father, so sad but this is real in today's world, I gave this book 4 stars.
I really enjoyed this series and loved how Meesha tied everything all together. I will say that I figured out the Goldie/Sofie link early but... this was a GREAT read. Get it!!!
I would really like to send a special Thank You to my goodreads friend Valerie for suggesting this series to me.
