Food is sensuous, tasted as much with the eyes as the palate. The creators of this book seem to have forgotten that. Every photo in the book is done in a sepia tone. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING looked the least bit appetizing, so having read through each recipe, decided not to try a one, and with great speed and much relief, returned it to the library. I can only ask why.
Had to return this to Library when I realized I had no time for baking before Christmas 2008. I ate sticky buns at this bakery in 2003 and they were the perfect replica of my Philadelphia childhood sticky buns. Excellent! I'd like to try this recipe some day.
forgot the variety of items that Metropolitan Bakery sells... wanted more bread recipes and tips but am too pleased with the rest of the chapters to be disappointed. feeling homesick tho.
