In the chilling third instalment of the Harlan Action Thriller Series, the outlaw biker and bouncer faces a sinister new challenge.

When a string of dogs mysteriously goes missing from the streets of Manchester, Harlan teams up with an unlikely ally in a bid to uncover the truth. Together they embark on a perilous mission to bring the culprits to justice.

As the clock ticks down, heroes emerge from the unlikeliest of places. Will Harlan bring this despicable operation down the official way … or his way?

This is a world where it's truly, ‘Dog Eat Dog’.

Notes

Harlan is an outlaw biker and bouncer who dishes out vigilante justice to the criminal underworld. He belongs to the notorious Satan's Security MC and operates as a nomad, taking on the toughest pubs and clubs in the UK.

This book contains strong language and adult themes.

If you like books by Lee Child, James Patterson, Michael Connolly or Tom Clancy (think grit lit, lad lit and hardboiled action), you're going to love Harlan. Criminal or hero? You decide.

Well this book
reminded me that I still have anger issues (you'll understand when you read it) the storyline is a very sensitive one but brilliantly covered in the book.
the main character is a well written and likeable man (and you get to see his needs, feelings and desires more in this book, plus I'm dying for a prequel to the series explaining what made him the man he is) , but if your on book three you should already know him.
the theme of this book really hit a nerve with me as I rehomed a similar dog to ace in the story.
the story is once again well written, compelling and has you guessing from the outset, the story always leaves you wanting more, wanting to know what's over the next page.
this series is superbly written throughout and leaves you wanting more from page one through to the very last page of every book (and beyond).

I've read and thoroughly enjoyed all of the 'Harlan' books thus far, but I admit that I held back a bit on reading this, through fear of being upset.
As an animal volunteer, who has fostered and rehomed animals, any form of animal abuse disgusts and distresses me immensely.
However, Harry has managed to address the issue of dog fighting without going into the sad and brutal outcomes too much, he just gives you enough of the facts, so that the inevitable outcomes are obvious, without being literally too graphic.
Ignorance is not bliss on this topic and I salute him for raising awareness of this thugs blood sport , amongst other despicable crimes.
I read this in 24 hours while travelling back from 2 months volunteering abroad (with lots of animals who suffer at the hands of humans).
Looking forward to the next book very much, which is going to explain more about this Hero 'Harlan

Dog Eat Dog by Harry Hudson is the third in the Harlan Action Thriller Series and is the best so far.

The story follows Harlan, a British outlaw biker, as he dishes out his own brand of vigilante justice to the criminal underworld.

The subject matter is gritty and, at times, harrowing - and sadly, all too real.

The Harlan books are characterized by the cinematic quality of the writing -it's easy to picture the stories playing out as you read. Harlan should definitely be on TV!

A well-written page-turner and a great holiday read.

Looking forward to the next book which will apparently reveal more of Harlan's back story.
