This book had a lot of good points and suggestions to make about leadership. I love her emphasis on self-reflection/awareness, self-care, active listening, and the importance of mentorship and a supportive community. I like that she detailed the importance of various skills and also practical ways to develop those skills in yourself and cultivate them in others.
It did really feel like the same points were being made over and over again. Toward the end, I skipped some of the bullet points because they were points that had already been made many times. I think this book could have gotten the same points and impact across with half the number of pages.
I think on some points, I wish there was more emphasis on the importance of balance as a leader. A lot of the stuff she talked about is very important, but also it is important to acknowledge the need for balance. It felt very much like the book was for people who specifically struggle with certain things to get to the middle point. However, it doesn't really go into detail on how to make sure that your improvements don't overcompensate and get you into a different problem on the other side.
I think she kind of hits on the importance of balance inadvertently in some places. For example, she often will point out the need to surround yourself with diverse people, opinions, and ideas, but in other sections, she will also say to surround yourself with like-minded people. She doesn't really connect them together, but it does imply the importance of balance. I guess this book was intended for a specific type of female leader so I am thinking some things like this may not be what the type of audience she is speaking to needs to hear.

‘Fearless Female Leadership’ is an extremely useful tool for women willing to take power back on their lives and learn how to build up their own narratives according to their true selves.
It is a highly sourced piece of work, with a very impactful thematic structure. The writing style uses ‘storytelling’ as a way to support the points to be demonstrated on the one hand, and what the authors wants to implement within her readers’ mind on the other hand. The whole narrative is very graphic (using personal experiences or tangibles examples), which definitely helps readers having a better projection over what they’re being advised in the book.
Plus, there’s a very efficient editorial presentation alternating between development excerpts and some “advices checklists”, which makes a very dynamic and easy to be kept in mind kind of reading. There’s something very concrete about the writing style, and it is exactly what we could expect from this type of book.
It is very well written, on a straightforward yet striking and accurate manner, without ever feeling too complex, unclear or vague; benevolence transpires through every single tip and prompt that is raised. Everything about this piece speaks human intelligence and social knowledge; and we can feel how much the author knows what she’s talking about, and that makes it a very reliable guidelines collection.

This book is "fearless female leadership". It is a really good book discussing female leadership. Chapter 5 "fight imposter syndrome" was a helpful chapter for me. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Any female looking to go into a leadership position should definitely read this book. Very empowering and confidence boosting for those women.
