नेपाली कवितालाई माया गर्दै हुर्कनु भएको हो भने तपाईंलाई कवि भूपी शेरचनप्रति अगाध मोह त अवश्य होला। त्यसमाथि आफूले श्रद्धा गरेको मान्छेका बारेमा कुनै documentary या किताब आएको छ भने त्यसको स्वाद चाख्न बेर किन?

कविता शेरचनले आफ्नो पिता भूपीको स्मरणमा लेखेको किताब पढ्न म पनि उत्साहित थिएँ नै। सुरुमा अङ्ग्रेजी भर्सन पढ्ने कि नेपालीमा अल्मलिएँ। तर लेखकले अङ्ग्रेजीमै लेखेको हुनाले लेखकीय स्वादका लागि अङ्ग्रेजी भर्सन नै किनें, पढें।

अङ्ग्रेजीमा स्नातकोत्तर र पहिला The Kathmandu Post मा काम गरेको कविताको अङ्ग्रेजीमा राम्रो दखल छ, अझ लोभलाग्दो नै। उनको कवितात्मक चेत पनि गज्जब बलियो छ। तर कवि भूपीलाई father, Buwa, Bhupi भनेर पढिरहदा, उनका संवादहरू अङ्ग्रेजीमै पढिरहदा मलाई भने South Indian Movie अङ्ग्रेजी dubमा हेरेको जस्तो महशुस भयो। त्यसमा पनि कविताहरू, जो तपाईंको मनमस्तिष्कमा कण्ठ छन्, ती कविता पनि hami bir chhaun, tara buddhu chhaun जसरी पढ्न पर्दा अथवा ' मेरो चोक' कवितालाई My Courtyard title मा पढ्दा In a narrow alley is my courtyard, What does it have? It has everything...भनेर मात्र पढ्दा नेपालीमै पनि पढ्न पाएको भए अझ रमाइलो हुने मैले सोचें।

त्यसबाहेक अरू कवि/ साहित्यकारको भूपी प्रतिको दृष्टिकोण नेपालीमै पनि समावेश भएको भए म जस्तो दुवै भाषा धेरथोर जान्नेलाई अझ रमाइलो हुने थियो सायद।

यसबाहेक शेरचनले कितााबको पहिलो भाग " आमाको मृत्युले उनको मनमा रहेको खत" र दोस्रो भाग " किन भूपी रक्स्याहा‌/जड्याहा होइनन् ?" को लामो विवेचनात्मक उत्तर शैलीमा खर्चेका छन्। अन्य केही कुराहरू clarification का रूपमा आएका छन्, अर्थात् "ती भूपीको कम्जोरी होइन, गुण हो" को रूपमा। यधपी भूपीको पहिलो श्रीमती या परिवारलाई सम्मान जनाउँदै केही कुरा लेखिएको छैन। साथै उनका अन्य कमजोरीहरू पनि खास लेखिएको छैन। यत्ति सम्म कि भूपीको अस्पताल बसाइँ अथवा मृत्युमा पूर्व -पत्नी र परिवारको उपस्थिती/अनुपस्थिती केही लेखिएको छैन। यसकारण कविता र भूपेशप्रति जत्ति नै स्नेहशील पिता भए पनि उनको अन्य छोराछोरी प्रति अनुदार भएको तपाईंले पाउनु हुनेछ।

पढ्नै पर्ने/नपर्ने भन्दा पनि भूपीलाई श्रद्धा गर्नेहरूले एकचोटि पढ्नु भए हुन्छ।

"It's really great to know the life journey of someone whom you admire a lot. The book clarifies most of the things we have read or heard about Bhupi's life. Some aspects seem fake, while others appear true, according to the writer. Despite this, my admiration for Bhupi remains unchanged after reading the book. The myths about his drinking habit and reputation as a womanizer are dispelled, although they are of least concern. There are still some unanswered questions regarding his first marriage and family. Ultimately, as a poet and progressive figure, Bhupi is and will continue to rise in Nepali literature."
