I don’t even know how many times I’ve read through Romans, and yet Something new always stands out to me. This is the nature of the Bible. Further, Paul delivers his words directly without mincing words. For a biblical scholar and a former master of the Jewish law, he has enough understanding through the Word of God to speak plainly about what has been revealed to him by God the Father. For me, Paul has created the perfect roadmap to no longer living by the letter of the law, but rather, living by the spirit. His description of faith without deeds, which confused me for years before reading, was made simple. Our deeds are the result of us acting on faith, not to be confused with works by which we cannot be saved alone. Faith is the expectation of what we cannot see, otherwise it is just knowledge.
