Coping with life as a vampire is not as easy for Evelyn as she and Atticus had hoped, but they are figuring things out as the days go on. They rescue a new furry friend to keep Evelyn company while Atticus works, who fits right into their life as if he was something that had been missing the whole time. Things go awry when Atticus suddenly remembers who turned him, causing him to break and leaving Evelyn to help pick up the pieces while their friends try to find the vampire responsible. Things just aren’t going as planned. Familiar faces come back into their lives, crash walls down, and try to bring down everyone around them. With so much on the line, all the while, Evelyn is learning to cope with her mother’s new marriage and having to learn to navigate life as a vampire and as a princess. With these new faces, and ones that used to be as familiar as her own, will everyone survive the pressure?

Since then, she has been a stay-at-home mother to her twins and has written blog posts about what life is like as a parent to twins who were born at 24 weeks and all of the medical problems that come along with that and has written about her own struggles with mental health and living with multiple chronic illnesses. “Reading let me escape to new worlds when things were rough, and writing gave me the outlet to escape to my own new worlds.”
I loved this just as much as I loved the first! I am so ready for a third one! The characters are so sweet, and seeing different POV’s was a nice touch! I loved seeing how the others thought. The twist had me on the edge of my seat, and I was begging to know all the answers! I love the fact that this series is full of chronic illness. There’s a character for everyone to enjoy, and fall in love with. I can not wait to see what Elvi has her sleeve up next!
I honestly just love the story of Evelyn and Atticus and all of their friends. In this book Evelyn is adjusting to her new life and the many changes that come with it. Including a rogue vampire that is set on eliminating her entire family.
