After dealing with the strangest break up, Tillie Mason heads out to a local club with her best friend. After all, what better way is there to get over being rejected than spending the night drinking and dancing? While at Savage, she catches the eye of the Alpha, his beta, and the handsome drummer playing in the band.
Tillie agrees to a one-night stand with the three men. She’s left with more than she bargained for when she learns she’s been mated and claimed. Reality comes crashing down around Tillie when she gets thrust into a world she didn’t know existed. She learns that you can’t sleep with shifters and sneak away the next morning.
First problem: it’s $5, so I definitely feel like I wasted my my money Second problem: MAJOR editing issues. Like “took me out of the story” editing issues Third problem: none of the guys were different. They all seemed exactly the same Fourth problem: I didn’t care about any of them in any capacity because 75% of the book was sex. Not even good sex, just copy-pasted sex scenes repeated 50 times over Fifth problem: (spoiler but not really) succubus are female, incubus are male Sixth problem: the editing. I’m mentioning it twice because it’s that bad Seventh problem: the book takes place over a single night/a brunch meeting. Maybe 16 hours total. And 14 of those hours are spent having or talking about having sex
I am quite disappointed in this book. No plot. Just sex, sex, and well, more sex. And the sex? It’s all Daddy, or Dom, or Sir from the get go. No discussing boundaries, etc. (Also, ick factor that the Alpha had basically come from having sex with another woman and immediately went and had sex with her. She, not being a wolf, did not smell her on him, but can you imagine their reaction if she had done the same?)
And claiming consent? None really given. They knew she was human and had no clue about their world or what she was getting into. She thought it was a one time thing. They knew better and could not control themselves. Which seems to be a thing. Their lack of control.
Plus they give her zero time to process, much less adjust to this whole new world. Just expect her to basically be their sex toy and obey them. She does something they like? Sex. Does something they don’t like? Sex. Exist in their space? Sex. Breathes? Sex. Same with any roughness, play or otherwise. Even though they know she’s a human and can’t take as much as a shifter could. And that being in a 1-to1 context, let alone a 3-to-1 context.
Another thing that turned me off was the guys immediately getting with each other. They’d been Aloha-Beta and Alpha-Best Friend for years. If they were wanting to be in a sexual relationship, why not start it before meeting her?
Then two of them claim each other, so now they are “mated” too. BUT they are not fated mates. So if they can just bite anyone as their mate, and just keep adding more mates to the mix, why didn’t they just go ahead and do that to stave off going feral? If they can just mate anyone then what is the purpose of having a fated mate? Not to mention the two guys mate claim each other less that 24 hours after having met and claimed their fated. It makes the girl in all of this superfluous.
This whole book? Is less than 24 hours of time. Reading it felt like even longer. There was zero plot, too much sex which (gasp) is a thing when there is no plot to support it. If I wanted all sex with no plot and very little non-sex interaction… Well, that’s what erotica is for, not romance. Add in that the book needs editing for spelling, etc. and that increased the story drag.
So mad I wasted time and money on this. From what I have read in the synopsis and reviews of the other three books in the story, it’s just more of the same. If they drag just as much without a good supporting story, it’s just a grab for more money. Definitely will not be buying the others and most likely will not be reading more from this author if it’s just going to be more of the same.
Suggestion? Rewrite with a plot, cut down on all the sex scenes, condense the four books into one good story, and have multiple edits before publishing. A single good book will have people returning to read more of your works. A badly written “series” will have people turning away after the first book knowing the rest are just going to be the same. And for a book that has people coming left and right, it’s very unsatisfying.
The first 37% of this book is catching her cheating boyfriend, walking into a club, and orgasms.
Honestly besides finding and screwing their mate in not sure what the point of this story is. In very disappointed I paid $5 to just read Neverending smut. I thought there might be more to the story after we find out the girl he cheated with is his mate and related to one of Tillie's guys. But nothing more..
I doubt I will waste more money buying the next book as this was a flop for me.
I liked the 6 book series of hers I read previously, but this book is nothing but smut. Sorry. Won't be reading the next 2 in the series. No storyline worth trudging through page after page of tedious sex. I like a good storyline with a touch of romance. Not the other way around.
I just started reading Savage Mates and what a great book! I love how Tillie has a hard time believing that she is mated to three wolves. Jason, Travis and Ryan are awesome mates to have. Can't wait to read Savage Hunt and see what they do when the find her.
I don’t like that I spent $5 for porn but this has all the startings for an interesting series. I wanna know where this goes and what happens next but I’ll wait to pay for the next book.
When I tell you my toes curled and I was stealing . This book had twist and turns in the bedroom. It was more than I expected. Very good book and can't wait to read book 2.
