He's trying to save her. She's killing him. One littleblack dress at a time.
VICTORIA As a student doctor, I deal with bullet wounds on a regular basis, but one teeny nightclub shooting is all it takes for my sister and her rock star husband to send me a new bodyguard / babysitter.
The last person I expect to turn up is Archie “can’t-bear-to-look-you-in-the-eye” Mason.
Now we’re roommates until graduation. I can’t turn around without tripping over him. If only I could trip underneath him. Because he is every bit as alluring as he was five years ago. And equally as unavailable.
But when my night terrors result in us sharing the same bed, our situation sparks a brand new danger.
One that could hurt both of us irreparably...
ARCHIE I’ve been obsessed with Victoria Sexton for years.
If my boss and friend, Ryan Cooper, had any idea how bad I have it for his wife’s little sister, he'd sack me on the spot.
Living with her is testing every inch of willpower I possess.
How can I watch her back when I can’t stop imagining her on it? * * *
"Falling For My Bodyguard" is an open door contemporary romance, overflowing with heat, heart & HEA.
This is a stand alone romance with interlinking characters from a wider series. The characters occasionally use profanities. Let's be honest, "Darn it" doesn't quite cut it sometimes.
Perfect reading for fans of TESSA BAILEY, MEGHAN QUINN & LUCY SCORE.
** PLEASE NOTE: This book was previously pubished as, "My Big Fat Fabulous First Love" **
Being this is book 3 of the Sexton Sisters Series, we’ve met Victoria before but, she’s years younger than her sisters and was a child.
But, she most definitely is all grown up and close to becoming a doctor when Archie, her bodyguard when she was a teenager, and her first crush, is sent to be her bodyguard.
Archie has so much to lose, but Victoria’s family has become his own family and he doesn’t want to risk that, plus, he’s a professional bodyguard.
There is a lot of tension between them, there is resistance, there a lingerie shoppe scene…
This is a great conclusion for the series and I enjoyed reading it until the wee hours of the morning!
If any writer can pull me out of a reading slump it's Lyndsey! I got to read the ARC and it did not disappoint. I have loved the Sexton sisters series but the story of Victora and Archie is my favourite.
Babied by her sisters until she was able to venture off to Edinburgh 🏴 and study to be a doctor....Victoria no longer wanted to live in the shadows of her famous family however still having to endure daily life with a bodyguard.....Jared F**ks up and in comes Archie who Victoria had asked to be her bodyguard when she moved to Scotland but he declined due to his desires for her but not wanting to tear apart the family he had grown to know and love as his own.
Victoria has grown and things have changed....their story hots up when Archie breaks the rules.
5 stars 🌟

It’s official, Lyndsey Gallagher is my favourite author!
The third book in the Sexton Sisters series is amazing. I read it in two evenings, I literally couldn’t put it down! I got so invested in the characters in all 3 books and Lyndsey wrote it perfectly!
The first two books in this series are also a solid 5 stars from me!
This book!!♥️♥️ This is the third in the Sexton sisters series, and while you do not need to read the others first, it does help with background and for you to get more out of the story. It is also my favorite of the series. I DEVOURED this book. In fact, I stayed up entirely too late to finish reading it. Victoria is the baby of the family by 10 years, and she is tired of being treated like the baby. So when it is time for her to go to college, she goes to Scotland, ready to spread her wings and be carefree. One problem: Her family is famous and rich and so she is saddled with bodyguard after bodyguard. Enter Archie. Archie has demons of his own. He shouldn't want Victoria as much as he does, and he shouldn't be half in love with her either.
“And it’s not because I’m paid to protect her. It’s because a world without Victoria is inconceivable.”
The journey as they discovered each other, how much they helped each other, and the way they handled the threats against Victoria is full of twists, turns and loop-the-loops.
Full of heart, hope, forgiveness, reconciliation, family, joy, sorrow, and so much more. This book will pull on your heart strings, make you hot under the collar, and fall in love with both characters. Run, do not walk, to read this for yourself.
What a beautifully romantic and lovely tale! I do like a good bodyguard and charge trope, and this one was amazing! Great characters, swoony dialogue and so much amazing spice!
Book three of the Sexton Sisters series can be read as a standalone and ends with a HEA. It is written in first person from an alternating dual POV. After reading the first two books in the series I was excited to read Victoria and Archie’s story. When I had room between other scheduled reads, I was fortunate to be able to get an ARC through Book Sirens. The prologue of this book begins as Victoria leaves home for college at 18. Chapter one picks up a little over 5 years later as she is nearing the end of her medical school education. At 23, she is still trying to find her freedom despite her gilded cage and ever-present bodyguards. After an incident at a nightclub, her former bodyguard, Archie (34), reluctantly returns to her side. Victoria is an old soul with the naivete that has been earned from her sheltered upbringing. She is intelligent, driven, kind, witty, and fun. She carried a huge crush for Archie and when he arrives to be her “new” bodyguard she learns that the crush is still in place. Archie has avoided Victoria for the last several years because of his feelings for her. I loved his vulnerabilities and insecurities. I adore how his character grows and accepts things that have haunted him over the timeline of the book. There are some funny moments as they learn to live together in their new normal. Once they give in to the burning attraction and chemistry that sparks between them, it is seriously hot. I love their friendship and the deep emotions they quickly share. Dangers seem to be everywhere, and trouble finds Victoria often. Archie is always busy trying to protect her and straddling the line between bodyguard and boyfriend. They each must learn to forgive themselves for things both in and out of their control to move forward to their beautiful forever. This was a wonderful series, and I adored this book. In fact, Victoria and Archie may be my favorite book of the series. Their love is so encompassing and easy to feel as I read their story. It made me smile and left me with a happy heart. I am voluntarily leaving this honest review after receiving an advance reader copy of the book.
Sometimes you meet a person and you know you’ll be friends. Little did I know, on that day five years ago when I had a “hello, I think you’ll like my book” that I’d gain such a great friend.
Now not only is this lush lady an amazing friend but she’s also a super talented author. My Big Fat Fabulous First Love is Victoria’s story and omg is it a good one! Ms Sexton has broken away from Huxley Castle and is living her best life in training to become a doctor.
Victoria also hates her security detail and complains about them at every given opportunity. That is, until super sexy Archie rocks up and captivated her to the core.
Lyndsey creates the connection perfectly, it is evident from every interaction the desire and connection that oozes between the pair. We see the flirting, the frustration and a whole lot of fun. Victoria and Archie certainly play games with each other which for the reader is hilarious to read at times.
Gallagher should come with a warning. My heart has been shattered, tears have streamed and slowly piece by piece I’ve been put back together. This is the warm hug and comfort that I’ve really been craving.
My Big Fat Fabulous First Love is an utter gem. A delicious delight in book form. Mrs G has once again created a beautiful book with stunning characters. This is a book I have devoured in just hours. It’s been addictive and I’ve been desperate for more.
I love that Chloe and Sasha still have a key role in this book. Although not the main characters, the sister bond is as strong as ever. Plus, is there anyone better to pick you up than the strong females in your life?
There is nothing negative I can say about this beautiful book. It is another gem for the collection, guaranteed to leave you feeling happy- regardless of your previous mood. This is brilliant from beginning to end.
I will be shouting about this book and recommending to anyone who will listen. This is a book worthy of all the stars and an absolute must read to get on the TBR.
Bodyguard trope first love age gap forced proximity
Thank you to Lyndsey for the ARC! Ahhhh I was so excited for another book from my fave Irish sisters series! The spice and heart was there! Loved Archie & Victoria together even more than I remembered from the snippets we got of them from previous books. I normally am not biggest age gap trope fan but really loved them together. Lyndsey always brings my heartbreak though at some point in her Irish sister love stories lol could have done without that because we were doing so well. Victoria was very mature for her age which was nice to see because usually people that age can be annoying to me lol. I also loved how Archie didn't hold everything too close to his vest when she was worried about them he refreshingly told her how he felt and how serious he was.
"I might be a chapter in her romance novel she's my entire book." I yelled when I read that line SWOON
n this story, Victoria is a medical student, about to graduate soon. She has famous relatives who have arranged for her to have a security detail. After her previous bodyguard was sacked for playing Tetris on the job Archie gets assigned to live with her. They have had a longstanding crush on each other but there have been obstacles, including their age gap, Archie's idea that she's off limits, and their emotional issues. Archie has been traumatized in his childhood and in the military and feels like he's not worthy to begin with, and more so after Victoria got in danger after he was momentarily inattentive to the risks. It was pretty predictable but an engaging read. I received a free copy and this is a voluntary review.
Content: Parental death, violence, war trauma, stalking. Steam level: Several sexual scenes. Series status: Her siblings have their own books but this stands alone.
This book had it all the angst, the spice and everything in between! I didn’t read the other two books in the series but I will definitely be going back and reading them. That being said you can absolutely read this as a standalone and it will still make perfect sense. Once I started this book I couldn’t put it down, like seriously I read it in a couple of hours staying up way past my bedtime.
Victoria and Archie as a couple make complete sense, they have shared childhood trauma. Victoria is a young woman searching for her place in a life that has been restricting for her. Archie tries to be the voice of reason but eventually lets his feelings win.
I highly recommend this book for any age gap romance lovers.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I don’t even know where to begin to sing the praises of this fabulous third and final book of the Sexton Sister’s loves and adventures.
I have adored this entire trilogy. The heat between all the couples is both tender and explosive. However, I think the story of Archie and Victoria is my favorite (Yes, I’ve said that after each book). These two have fallen hard for each other, but have done their best to keep their feelings to themselves. You see, Victoria is the youngest of the sisters and Archie is her bodyguard who has reluctantly accepted the assignment of keeping her safe while she finishes medical school. The longing is palpable and comes alive on every page. Heartwarming and hot as h#ll. In true Lyndsey style, an HEA is guaranteed, but how they get there is quite the journey. Brilliant storytelling. Can be read as a standalone, but why would you want to…
Holy hotness was this fantastic. Lyndsey has written another wonderful love story for the books. Archie is simply swoonworthy and Victoria is amazing with her absolute heart of gold. The author did a fantastic job with her two characters and bringing them to life. She gave her characters such depth in emotions I find so rare sometimes. She gave a perfect ending to the sexton sisters. I'm sad to see this series end. But I adore the hea that they got. And the side characters the kids were so fun. Give this series a read! You won't be disappointed but you might have a book hangover
The 3rd and final instalment of the Sexton Sisters series and I’ve genuinely loved each one more than the last. This final story of baby of the family Victoria & Archie is my favourite one yet - not only because the chemistry between these 2 characters is unreal, but the story and the twists and turns that it takes really made this a must read. I’m so happy I got the chance to devour it ahead of its release date!
I have loved Lyndsey’s writing from the very first book, and always make sure I preorder whatever is next. With this latest story she just continues to get better and better and she will always be top of my recommendations to anyone who’ll listen so please don’t hesitate in finding out how the story ends for the fabulous Sexton sisters.
This is the third and final book in the Sexton Sisters Series, Victoria and Archie’s story. Victoria is the youngest sister nearing the end of her Doctor’s training. Archie is her reluctant bodyguard.
It can be read as a stand-alone but I’d highly recommend reading the first two as not only are they great stories but you will get a better understanding of the girls strong relationship with each other and family history. This book has it all, laughter (including a visit to a sex shop) funny one liners, tears - Lyndsey certainly puts you through the wringer and a HEA. I’ll miss these strong girls and their partners.
I loved every second of this book but that is not exactly a surprise. Victoria and Archie were already super cute in Sasha and Ryan’s book but in their own? SIZZLING HOT AND INCREDIBLY CUTE!!! Ugh I love the Sexton girls and how strong they are and of course the men in their lives are incredible as they deserve. Victoria and Archie are fire, the chemistry is outstanding seriously. Victoria is so selfless and strong and I love that Archie loves her mostly for that. They’re such a good couple. And my lovely Archie? Carrying so much guilt but still being devoted to the people he loves? I LOVE THEM BOTH SO MUCH!! Don’t even get me started on the tension between them ugh so damn good!! Sweet Victoria teasing Archie until he can’t take it anymore. *chef’s kiss* I’m sad this series is over because this family is one I will read forever. But that only means that they just have to be on my reread forever list. GO READ IT!!
I’ve received and ARC of this book in exchange of my honest review and I never lie so THIS IS GOOD PEOPLE GO READ IT!
I loved the first two books in this series and this last one definitely lived up to my expectations.
Lyndsey never disappoints when it comes to writing a witty, lusty, can’t put it down story.
Victoria and Archie had me feeling all the feels with enough of a roller coaster ride to keep me up past my bed time yo finish the book and not so angsty that I needed to take a break.
Now that all the Sexton sisters have found their HEA’s, I can’t wait to see what Lyndsey does next.
I received an advance reader copy. My review and opinions are my own!
I love the Sexton Sister Series. I think the storylines surrounding the sisters are unique and the steam is glorious. If you're looking for an easy, contemporary romance, these are it.
I will say the one thing that I didn't love was some of the dialogue between Vic and Archie, it just felt off at times. I don't want to say cringe but there were things that felt inauthentic to the characters and a bit too recycled but that tension is absolute perfection.
Thank you so much to the author for allowing me the chance to read this series. It's definitely one of my favorite over the last year. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
My Big Fat Fabulous First Love is the last in the Sexton Sisters series. If you loved the first two, Victoria’s book lives up to the hype. I loved this book & that it was set a few years after the first two in the series! You get to see how Victoria’s sisters are getting on but I loved Victoria’s independence in this book. Archie might be her first love but it was definitely worth the wait. 4/5 stars, my only complaint is that I didn’t have enough of Victoria & Archie’s story! Highly recommend!

Once again Lyndsey Gallagher amazes me with her brilliant writing! I wish I had the words to explain how much I loved this book. I had been desperately awaiting Victoria and Archie's story since I read My big fat fabulous fling and it surpassed all expectations full of humour, romance and spice in perfect balance. Victoria is trouble with a capital T and you will love the situations she tries to get Archie into (they sometimes backfire on her 😉). I am sad it's the send of the Sexton sister's series but what a way to bring it to an end. Don't put it on your TBR list read it now x
This was the 3rd and final book in the Sexton sisters series. This book did not disappoint, another steamy read, with plenty of spice. I couldn't put it down once I started it.
Thank you Lyndsey for the ARC and I can't wait to read your next series. xx
You’re My First. You’re My Last. You’re My Everything.
Yes, songs run through my head ALL THE TIME, and Barry White sang through my head as I tried to find a way to sum up this book in a review title. In my humble opinion, it describes this book perfectly.
'I’m in sensory overload. It’s so much more than sex. It’s a union of two souls who truly see each other. It’s a promise. It’s a pact. It’s everything.'
And so we’ve reached the final act of the Sexton Sisters by Lyndsey Gallagher. Book three is Victoria and Archie’s story and it’s a sizzler!
I’m a fan of Lyndsey Gallagher and when she asked me to read her ARC of her latest book, I jumped on the chance! Gallagher’s books are wonderfully inventive, fun to read, and filled with lots of fun and tenderness. And MBFFFL is no exception.
Victoria Sexton is studying to become a doctor and has found her home in the emergency room of a Edinburgh Hospital. She came to Scotland to be away from her family, who think of her as the child she was when her parents died. The Sexton sisters are close, but Vic has some growing up to do and feels she can only do that away from her well meaning siblings. The only problem, her first crush and first love, Archie, didn’t come to Scotland with her.
Archie is all professional, all man, all the time. The consummate protector. As much as he wants to, he knows he has to stay away from her. That is, until Fate steps in and he is assigned to her. She’s one determined woman and not the 18 year-old that she was. She’s all woman and as much as Archie tries to fight his attraction, she’s learned a feminine wile or ten!
There’s so much push and pull attraction between these two characters, as Victoria tortures the heck out of Archie, willing him to bend to her will. These two will make you sweat and squirm in your chair until they finally, explosively, inevitably, let themselves fall. Swoony stuff! That scene in the lingerie boutique change room… shewww!
Way, way more happens… a little mystery, a little suspense, a little hurt, lots of making up. There are also Cotswolds, kids, and so much love.
Read it and burn ladies! You’ll be on fire for these two, I promise!
Let me say this: If Lyndsey Gallagher writes it, I will read it.
Victoria Sexton, student doctor and baby sister of the famous Sexton family, has gone through bodyguard after bodyguard during the last six years since she left home to attend college and medical school. When she is at a nightclub when a shooting happens and her bodyguard is nowhere to be found, her sister and brother-in-law decide to send in the best they've got, and the bodyguard Victoria has wanted from the beginning. She's had a thing for Archie since she was just a teenager, but she was crushed when he didn't accept the bodyguard position when she first left. Now that he's back in her life, she has to figure out how to entice him just enough to let down his guard. Turns out, it isn't that difficult.
My thoughts: I love this series! I love the spice and I love the plot. Gallagher does a fantastic job of balancing the two. This is the third in the Sexton Sisters series and while they're all intertwined, you could definitely read them each as a stand-alone, however, each does reference characters and events from other books so reading them in order is preferable.
The chemistry between Victoria and Archie is so intense you can feel it through the pages! The scene in the lingerie shop...that is one I won't soon forget. I did feel like Archie was a little immature at times and there were some moments where the plot was rushed towards the end, but overall it was a quick and thoroughly enjoyable read.
Thank you to Book Sirens and Lyndsey Gallagher for the digital copy. This review is honest and voluntary.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
First of all let me say how sad I am that the Sexton series is complete… I ADORED these strong, fierce women and their cinnamon roll, damaged men.
Victoria had me captivated from the very beginning and I just knew that she was going to be the wild card out of three. Creating her own path and embracing all that life had to offer. I also knew that she and Archie were meant to be, but boy did they have to work for it!
Archie, the brooding bodyguard who has been in "lust" with Victoria for YEARS cannot seam to find peace after all he has been through. He is a man who feels he does not deserve to be happy and does things for everyone but himself.
Victoria is a woman on a mission!!!! This is one mission that I can get on board with….poor Archie did not stand a chance! That scene in the lingerie store… HOT HOT HOT! Victoria knew what she wanted and she was willing to do anything to get that first, one true love from Archie.
I always love the internal conflict that Lyndsey does flawlessly and there is always a surprise event in each book. The family dynamic that is evident throughout this entire series is done perfectly, and the twins are hilarious!
I am going to miss the Sexton Sisters so much! This is a top read of 2023 for me!!!
Would recommend to anyone who likes romance, close proximity tropes, great twists and great smut
The things I loved:
- Great story line
- Some of my favourite tropes ( bodyguard, close proximity.
- The smut was on point 🥵
- The writing was clear, consistent and just very well written
- I was hooked from the first chapter
- the twists
- can be read as a standalone
- more books in the series to enjoy
Things I didn’t love:
The whole Lily-May story line- it didn’t fit and kind of threw off the whole story because it was just too unbelievable and happened way to fast. ( they did not know this child at all… maybe if they had more of a connection/ relationship with her it would have worked but personally I didn’t feel it)
Archie’s dad Wesley and the whole name thing that I won’t elaborate on because it’s a spoiler… just not believable.
- the name of the book, I assumed this would be about a plus size women because of the title ( I didn’t read the previous books in this series) the main character is actually athletic and small. ( maybe the name has something to do with the previous books that I obviously wouldn’t know about)
Overall, I did enjoy this book much more than I thought I would, 4/5 stars.
I received a ARC for my honest review, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Book Name: My Big Fat Fabulous First Love Series: The Sexton Sisters #3 Author: Lyndsey Gallagher Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️💫/5
This is the third book in the series and the first one I have read. They are standalone and can be read out of order if you want. Victoria is essentially forced into living her life with 24/7 bodyguards due to who her family is. She’s just trying to live her life as she makes her way through medical school and training as she tries to become an A&E doctor. When a shooting happens in a nightclub she is in they end up bringing in a new bodyguard. Archie just so happens to be one of her old friends/crushes that now ignores her (obviously because he’s totally in love with her and that how he stops himself from ravishing her).
It was cute and hot and I enjoyed the old flame/close proximity vibes of this book. It was funny to read the ways she was trying to get him to notice her and break a bit of the resolve he had about staying away from her. There was plenty of drama and random side things going on to keep you going through the story.
This is the first book in the series that I have read and it’s intrigued me enough to check out the others.
Thanks to #booksirens for the free ARC, I am leaving this review voluntarily.
Genre: Romance Format: Digital POV: Dual Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️ /5 Age suggestion: 18+
This is Book 3 of The Sexton Sisters series. I have read the first two books and enjoyed them very much and this one also did not disappoint. Victoria is the baby of the family. But she's all grown up now and is a student doctor. She and Archie knew each other years ago, he was her bodyguard back then, and now he is back in her life again as her bodyguard. She had a crush on him all those years ago and realizes when he is back those feelings are still there. Archie also has strong feelings for her, but because of his position and his insecurities, doesn't allow himself to act on those feelings. The attraction and chemistry is strong and evident between them both, but there have been obstacles in their way, including their age gap. Archie is haunted by things from his past and won't allow himself to get close to her, thinking himself not worthy. But as they handle the threats that come Victoria's way, they also go on a journey discovering and helping each other.
Full of twists and turns, love, and hope, this story was hands down an incredible read. Well-written and entertaining with endearing characters, this is one you won't be able to put down.
Glad to have had the opportunity to read this!
I received a complimentary copy from BookSirens and am voluntarily leaving my review.
In the last book of this series we get the story of the youngest sister Victoria. She is close to finish her medical studies at university far from her family, who loves her BUT who treats her as baby altought she is adult. Since her name is connected with fame and wealth she has to have her own bodyguard. Because some dangerous situation Victoria gets a new bodyguard-her first love Archie, who seems not to like her and tries to keep his distance. True is, Archie loves Victoria, but because of his age and his job he believes the only way to protect Victoria is to keep his feelings deep inside.
But since they have to spend 24/7 together, the tension is palpable from the beginning and it is only matter of time when fireworks explode 🥵🥵.
Victoria is a young woman, who doesn't care about fame and being in the spotlight, she is ready to fight for Archie, but question is is Archie ready to give a chance their relationship and especially to give a chance to be happy and love to himself?
You can read this book as a standalone, but in my opionion, it is better if you read Sasha's and Chloe's books first 😊.
I received a free copy of this book via Booksirens and I am voluntarily leaving a review ♥️📖.
MY BIG FAT FABULOUS FIRST LOVE By Lyndsey Gallagher
As a student doctor, I deal with bullet wounds on a regular basis, but one teeny nightclub shooting is all it takes for my sister and her rock star husband to send me a new bodyguard / babysitter. The last person I expect to turn up is Archie “can’t-bear-to-look-you-in-the-eye” Mason. We were friends once. Almost more… Then something changed. Now we’re roommates until graduation. I can’t turn around without tripping over him. If only I could trip underneath him. Because he is every bit as alluring as he was five years ago. And equally as unavailable.
😊What i liked -
✔ Bodyguard/ Doctor Romance/Found Family/Age Gap. ✔ Victoria has been my favourite character since the first book of the sexton sisters. ✔ Archie is such a sweet, caring and Alpha guy. (loved his bond with the twins) ✔ I love the bond the sexton sisters have, despite the lot being over protective. ✔ What perfect story to end this series with. Love the mystery, Heartaches, slow burn spice.
Lyndsey Gallagher is THE QUEEN of sexual-tension-filled page turners! I swear it. Her books get hotter and hotter, and this fantabulous finale to the Sexton Sisters was no exception.
I can tell you how beautifully she writes. What a pacing genius she is. How glamorous and gorgeous this book was, with its wealthy FMC and beautiful Edinburgh backdrop. But the bottom line is that I wanted, no, NEEDED, them to bang from Page One.
The first half of the book is a sizzle-fest of heat and longing and tension and banter that will have you deliriously happy. There's one scene in a lingerie boutique that pretty much finished me off. As with everything Lyndsey writes, the MCs are fabulous. Victoria was so likeable (anyone who works in A&E when she's rich enough not to have to work at all is a saint in my book), and Archie was the perfectly, if frustratingly, stoic bodyguard who was too damn professional for his own good. When Victoria decided to tease him, therefore? To torment him? I was HERE FOR IT.
Just gorgeous. The perfect escape with all the heat and heart only Lyndsey can deliver.
