Life throws us curve balls, right?Sometimes we get knocked off our feet completely! We feel lost, desperate for guidance to find our way back to "normal." It can be a lonely place, thinking we're the only ones going through it. But what if these setbacks were really setting us up for growth, transformation, and a whole new perspective? In our remarkable book, Making A Difference, we've gathered a group of extraordinary authors who have confronted that "Now what?" moment and have created amazing experiences for themselves and the world. They've navigated the dark forest and are sharing their paths back into the light in this book. Each author invites you to take action. Lean into their stories, apply them to your situation and take inspired action to create your new normal!“Deena Syed’s chapter is a fantastic example of how when you focus on what’s inside of you, what’s natural and listen to your intuition; great things happen. The author takes a no-nonsense approach to life, surrounds herself by the right people and naturally the right things happen. We have a finite amount of energy and capacity; we need to dispense that in the right places in order to grow. Well written and insightful Deena. Well done!”Nick VagueGold Coast, Australia“It offers a refreshing perspective on female mentorship, emphasizing authentic support over competition for male approval in a male-dominated environment. I wish I had had a female mentor that was willing to share sound advice when I was starting out in my career."Tiffany BaldwinLVN, USA"I really enjoy reading multi-author books because it allows readers to experience a mix of voices and writing styles in “bite sized” segments. Lalia Ansari’s chapter “Ditch the life is an Improv” invites readers to embrace, learn and grow from life’s unscripted moments. Her chapter takes readers on her personal journey of self-discovery, transformation and empowerment which was triggered by a casual statement made by her friend. It is very relatable, enjoyable and inspiring to read!"Nadia BoweyAustralia“Rasheedah’s chapter offers a unique perspective and provides guidance from a different perspective, contrary to the norm. It emphasizes radical accountability and the importance of focusing on what you can change rather than dwelling on how others treat you.” Steve Januaio, USADeputy CIO, Bill.com"Wendy Corner's story is full of heart and gentle invitation; invitation to take a look at those stories we tell ourselves, especially the ones buried so deep we aren't even aware of them. In making a difference to herself, she has made a difference to me by asking the question - what am I telling myself? Her insightful musings delight whilst challenging my status quo - always something to be desired in someone committed to Making a Difference in life!"Jamie HendersonPerth, Australia“Captivating and Engaging! This well-written story effortlessly grabs your attention and keeps you hooked from start to finish. Rasheedah’s effective storytelling draws you into a mesmerizing journey, reminiscent of the renowned writing style of Paulo Coelho. A must-read for those seeking a captivating literary experience.” Chase Lawrence, USAFounder & CEO, ChaseQuilts
This is a really diverse inspirational book. In fact, I don’t usually read self-help genre books but this one is refreshingly diverse. Wendy Corner’s chapter is great - I know Wendy personally and she is just as inspirational in person as she is in her writing. As a Christian I was very happy to see that the book has some chapters written by Christians, who are open about their faith. What is wonderful also is the diversity of authors and stories - it’s not just squeaky clean - there’s some really gritty life stories in this book; Craig Whitney’s chapter in this regard is quite significant - I hope he comes to understand the forgiveness of God, in fact, and that Jesus paid for his sins by dying on the cross - which is the only path that I know of that can wipe away guilt. Andrew DeSouza’s chapter was interesting to me; as an unvaccinated person during Covid who made a stand I was glad to see that Andrew could appreciate the courage that it took one of his friends to resist the coercion even if he didn’t personally agree. I enjoyed Laila’s chapter as well. Actually I enjoyed them all and I think if you’re looking for something to read that will help you to be inspired this book might be the one.
