They’ve known each other since they were kids. Their choice now is between lifelong feelings and how her brother... his best friend, feels.
Teresa
After four years of being deployed from the military, he's back. After leaving everything behind including where we stand and the major fact that our mothers had been murdered 7 years prior. Back when he was still around, our families were inseparable including him and my older brother. Inseparable meant church every Sunday, family barbeques afterward, then Friday night soccer games when in season. He couldn’t have come at the worst possible time. My father, Adriel Giovanni, the Italian mafia boss, has been notified that our family is receiving death threats-, the very same death threats that murdered our mothers. Now, my fate lies with him. Nico Sebastian Rossi. My brother’s best friend and my newly promoted bodyguard.
Nico
I am back and ready to be home more than ever or so I think. I am back on her 21st birthday and offered the man, who’s been like a second father figure, that I could protect his little princess. Teresa Maria Giovanni is her name. My best friend’s little sister. My forbidden fruit. I have to take her far from Amalfi, our home, born and raised. But, I don’t think I would have the capacity to control how I feel any longer once we are alone, without anyone else stopping me from loving her and all of her. Just me and my Italian princess for the next unknown amount of time.
such a fast paced book and this is the author first debut novel and i really liked it and excited for the next book soon, i really loved the main characters and the storyline as well!
First book to read by this author. Story was great. I loved how there love grew for each other. Sad that it took them that long to find it. Read this book pretty quick, love the setting in Italy and how they even went to California my home state. I was a little frustrated with all the Italian dialect. Me coming from a Spanish background I understood some words, but I would have to use google translate to do other paragraphs. But none the less the story was great. I’m intrigued for Adriel’story and what the heck happened to Isabella
a great debut novel from MC!! it was such a fast-paced book, and the characters were so so cute. nico and teresa are my heart and soul🫠.
while i felt the writing could be expanded a bit more, and there could've simply been just more, the connections and friendships and growth shown throughout the book were so heartwarming.
10/10, 5 stars, chefs kiss. That is how I would describe this book! I can see this series blowing out of the water one day I really can! I mean the family dynamic, the dramaaa, the spicee, the chemistry, the characters, literally everything about this book I devoured and oh my gosh the ending? I won’t say nothing but whatttttt?? 🫣
Finally finished it! I enjoyed the storyline. Nico’s and Teresa’s story is beautiful but hoping to get more of them throughout the rest of the series. Especially intrigued with the cliffhanger at the end. It shall be quite interesting.
LOVED!! I was a bit confused at first but realized this is only the beginning!! The plot was very interesting and the ROMANCE!!! Absolutely obsessed with this series already. I’m so excited to learn more about the characters and find out more about their story!!
This was a good book. I really liked Teresa and Nico’s story. (Edited to fix the autocorrected name)
I will say that the glossary being at the end of the Book and having whole paragraphs in Italian made it a bit hard to read but it is a wonderful read.
Her brother definitely was oblivious to everything since it seemed obvious they cared deeply for each other from the start.
I’m impatiently waiting for the next book in the series after that ending of course.
I LOVE TERESA AND NICO 😭🫶🏻 I had first read this series on Wattpad and IMMEDIATELY fell in love with all the characters. But Teresa and Nico will always hold a special place in my heart, the way they’re the definition of soulmates is what sold me the first of many times I read their book. I can’t wait to read Adriel and Mariana’s books soon! 🥹
Slow beginning, a little spicy here and there…, the end I was not expecting in a good unexpected twist kinda way. Very teenage lovey dovey. Not my favorite type of love story since I’m grown but yah.
Teresa by MC Larios 🦋🇮🇹 • Brothers Best Friend • (WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD. READERS HAVE BEEN ADVISED) • Rate: 10/10 • Nico and Teresa are the sun and moon. They are destined to be together, but always so far apart.
I have always been a big fan of the brothers best friend trope and this book showed such an amazing job of that trope.
I loved the whole past and present chapters, I’ve always been one to want to learn more about characters pasts, actually reading it rather than having the main characters explain it on their own. It’s just my preference.
The whole italy scene was something I wasn’t used to. But MC described everything so well and it sounded so beautiful. It made me want to travel there one day, hopefully when I am older.
This romance book was truly so beautifully written and unique. Everyone has their own writing style and hers is just chefs kiss.
I do like to add that I will be counting down the days for Adrian & Adriel’s books. They were my fave character throughout the book aside from Nico who I totally fell head over heels for.

Omg! I don’t know what I was expecting from this book but I was not prepared for all the sweet moments shared! Nico and Teresa are the main characters on this book but we meet so many more characters that we end up falling in love with.
The book starts off with Nico preparing to leave for his military training. Right from the start we learn how much Nico and Teresa love each other and how him leaving truly affects her. Four years go by… four years! And Nico has to work his butt off to regain her trust. All while Teresa is trying to figure out where the two of them stand.
If you like sweet romance, bickering, slow burns and moments that make your heart clench… then you need to pick up this book. I thoroughly enjoyed it and am so looking forward to the rest of the series!
