La primera parte del libro resulta sólida y aporta varias estrategias que pueden ser útiles si el objetivo es sentar las bases de un proceso de acercamiento al mundo de los negocios. Sin embargo, conforme avanza, la línea entre lo teórico y lo práctico comienza a diluirse, ya que el texto pasa de ejemplos plenamente aplicables, a planteamientos que difícilmente serían viables para una gran parte de la población mundial.

Para justificar este giro, en diversas secciones el autor recurre de manera recurrente a discursos de carácter motivacional. Si bien este tipo de recursos pueden resultar funcionales dentro de un libro de desarrollo personal, su presencia insistente se siente fuera de lugar cuando se espera un enfoque más analítico propio de un libro sobre negocios. No obstante, conserva elementos interesantes, que si cuentas con las condiciones idóneas, podría servir como punto de partida para poner a prueba las propuestas que el autor plantea.
