A short, illustrated volume. It doesn't really have any value now, 45 years later, since there are countless better texts. Even at the time this feels like an 'adoring fan' biography. But it has a sensible head on its shoulders, at least.
Not a bad book, with an interesting perspective on Woody's career up until 1980. There are some great photos in here. The one drawback is that the author goes on and on with summaries (and his own opinions) of each movie, which gets long and is unnecessary for anyone who is already familiar with them.
