This book is based on our experience teaching Greek as a foreign language. This workbook is addressed to everyone at the beginner / intermediate level in modern Greek. The book is carefully designed to help any English speaker expand their Greek through short stories. The stories are written in such a way that every beginner can interact with Greek as naturally as possible. Many useful and common words in modern Greek are repeated in the different chapters of the book so that every reader can memorize them easily. All stories are about a Greek university student, Kostas, his family, his friends and his everyday life. This book is actually a continuation of the book "Mini Greek A short stories book with exercises, grammar tables and vocabulary" and the life of the fictional character "Kostas".

As Drianne wrote, the story is slightly more engaging, because Kostas has grown up and moved to Thessaloniki to study—and he falls in love!

Each of 12 chapters is followed by a (close, not "good") translation, quizzes on content and vocabulary, grammar summaries (here, more advanced verbs, plus adverbs) and extended vocabulary based on the story.

The authors are better grammar teachers than story tellers, but the idea for this series is good.
