"You can't escape the contract... wife," he said with a smirk on his handsome face. To avoid a marriage alliance with a powerful family, she had to quickly find a man willing to have a contract marriage for a year. She thought she found the perfect man for the temporary marriage. But soon realized he was the same man she was avoiding to marry. Her unwanted husband is conniving, demanding, and arrogant. She hates that he held her hostage by the marriage contract she had prepared. Even as she attempted to drive her deceitful husband away, she was drawn to him. The harder she fought the attraction, the fiercer it got...Note: This is a standalone contract marriage romance that is a part of the bestselling Sands of Singoor series.
I wanted to see how the plot progresses as they are individual yet plot connected series. Full book was the main FC and MC fighting their attraction. No individual characteristic traits of neither Nakul nor Aadhya.. way too disappointed
The book blurb promised intriguing angsty story however what it really read like was smutty book with no plot at all. Story started off with our FC trying to get out of an arranged marriage and she is on a hunt for a man who could be her contractual husband for a year. Lucky her...she finds her dream man only to realise she has married her arranged beau!!! WTF?! Aadhya was one of the most stupid FCs I have come across(she is second to FC from Fifty shades series, who tops the list). This over-smart woman hears a random business man talking on phone and she decides she will marry him for a year!!! So she can wriggle out of the arranged marriage alliance which her family has found for her! How could an educated woman be so dumb? AND ON TOP OF THAT, SHE DRAFTS A CONTRACT FOR THEIR YEAR LONG MARRIAGE AND DOES NOT READ THE NAME OF THE OTHER PARTY!!!? WHAT KIND OF DAFT WOMAN THIS IS? SIGNING A LIFE CONTRACT WITHOUT PROPERLY READING IT?!
This girl does not have any ambitions besides seducing her so called fake husband. She does not know anything about her birth place...she is clueless about everything. The MC is only an eye candy since we are only exposed to FCs POVs throughout the book.
All the characters are very meh. The story - not built up to hold the interest for the series.
To me, it was a very one dimensional read without any interest to continue reading other books.

Book : Twisted Deceit: Arranged Marriage with Contract Bride Author : P.G. Van Format: Kindle Edition Ratings: ⭐️⭐️
The storyline of the second book in the series failed to capture my interest, lacking the compelling elements that drew me into the first installment. Despite the anticipation for a gripping story, especially after the captivating first installment, this one fell short of expectations.
Nakul and Aadhya's characters felt too plain, and the suspense element was not emphasized enough. The essential information seemed hurriedly wrapped up in the epilogue, giving the impression that the author wanted to abruptly conclude the story.
Emotions are an essential aspect of any story, but in this book, it felt like reading random paragraphs. The depth of emotions was lacking, which left me disappointed, even though I thoroughly enjoyed the first book.
I did like Nakul and Aadhya's story. As a person who loves contract marriage trope, I enjoyed their love story after the fake-fake-contract marriage. Unlike Shivay's POV in Twisted Alliance, Nakul's POV was very rare making it unable to connect with him.
After reading the first book in the series, this book failed to fulfill my expectation. I had high expectations, serious after reading about Shivay and Ishani, Nakul and Aadhya characters felt too plain. I am disappointed, because the story felt too simple. The story is fast paced, intense and thrilling, but it was sometimes boring too. I didn't see any character development or much existing suspense or angst , you can read it, not bad but compared to the first book, I didn't expect it to be so plain. It really lacked the depth of emotions and love for me. Sometimes it felt more like a Wattpad story, the story and characters had so much potential, but the author fail to accomplished it, not so interesting and exciting. Just stop the third book, and is far better from the beginning itself, it is more interesting, also I love mv kasi's stories and I am hoping for the best. This book is not a bad experience, its just felt too rush, throughout the read, so as per now, the first book my favourite, this was a moderate read. You can give it a try.
