The Haven Ten is everything I needed in a Sci-Fi romance, and more! There is tension, mystery, intrigue, and the characters are so believable.
By the finally few chapters I physically could not put this book down and I am SO excited for book two!

The Haven Ten by Amber Bayley is a spectacular debut novel! This book has everything a reader could hope for, and it left me utterly captivated from start to finish. From the very beginning, the story's premise of a mysterious forest and ten strangers pulled together under perplexing circumstances intrigued me.

Amber Bayley skillfully weaves a narrative that is not only plot-heavy but also rich in character development. Ruby Hayes, our strong and relatable protagonist, took me on a rollercoaster of emotions as she navigated the challenges of her new reality. Her growth throughout the story is both inspiring and heartfelt, making her a character that readers can genuinely connect with.

The ensemble of characters in this book is diverse and compelling, each contributing to the dynamic of the group. I found myself genuinely invested in their journeys, even those I didn't immediately warm up to. The social message woven into the narrative added depth and resonance, making me reflect on the broader themes explored within the story.

The twists and turns in book were, without a doubt, one of its standout features. Just when I thought I had the plot figured out, the story took exhilarating and unexpected turns, leaving me eagerly turning the pages to discover what would happen next. The final 50 pages, in particular, were a whirlwind of excitement that I absolutely lived for.

The book's infusion of thriller elements added an extra layer of excitement and suspense, making it a truly multifaceted reading experience. It's a rare treat to find a novel that blends genres so seamlessly and effectively.

As a debut novel, Amber Bayley has truly knocked it out of the park with The Haven Ten. It's a testament to her talent as a writer that she has crafted a story that not only stands on its own but also leaves readers eagerly anticipating the next installment in the series.

In summary, this is a must-read for anyone who enjoys a compelling and multifaceted story. Whether you're a fan of romance, sci-fi, thrillers, or just well-crafted characters and plots, this book has something to offer. I cannot recommend it highly enough, and I'm eagerly counting down the days until I can dive into the next book of this remarkable series.

A mysterious adventure with found family and a sci-fi twist at the end!

I love the instant mystery of being taken and left in a forest alone to survive. Then we meet the other characters, all different, great personalities to create a dynamic with still an unsettling hint of conflict and mistrust between them.

I love the themes of challenge, survival in a group and the dynamics that creates. Transitioning from selfishness to looking out for a whole group of people. The main point I loved about this book is that the characters are realistic and human, they make mistakes, they have outbursts of emotions, they feel natural. They're not perfect and don't have all the answers. A very relatable group of people!

The romance wasn't my cup of tea but that's just personal preference. I know there's a lot of people out there who would enjoy it!

This book definitely focuses more on the characters, their personalities and the theme of choosing your own family and self acceptance. It's heart warming. Until the end that is, what a twist! Overall fab book, I really enjoyed it.

A great sci-fi romance that had me shooketh! I love the found family trope, and all the characters really stood out with distinctive personalities that really meshed well together. Apart from Zoe of course.

I was really invested in the mystery of the whole thing, and just when I thought I had figured everything out - BOOM - first plot twist. Then I was like, yes, I'm on top of this now, then - WHAPOW! Second plot twist which had me reeling!

That ending! So bittersweet. I loved the romance and the potential for book two. Which I cannot wait for!!!

I'm hoping book two is heavier on the sci-fi element because it was so interesting to read about. Don't worry, no spoilers.

4 ⭐️ I really enjoy this book. Was a bit slow at first but I grew to love it and the characters. I got to say hated Zoe from the start she’s a absolute B*tch 😅 fell in love with Logan and the ending kept me on edge. I cannot wait to read the second book in the series

This is such an interesting scifi-novel. What a ride it was.

I will admit, I was feeling a lot hesitant over the first 20% of the book and even debated a DNF at one point. But once I fully got into the story and started to feel for the characters, the book really kicked into gear and I was fully invested in the Haven Ten and how they got to the next twist and the next. By the end of the book, I was feeling a lot of emotions and I really enjoyed how the story concluded. The ending twist was amazing and did actually made me want to read this book. So yes, it was definitely worth the slow start and I'm so happy I didn't put the book down.

I LOVED this book. The Haven Ten is described as a sci-fi romance with a thrilling twist, and as a contemporary romance girlie who’s used to reading books where the plot is 99% just the romance, I was a bit unsure reading a book that’s plot heavy.

That being said, I adored this book even though the romance isn’t the main focus. The story is intriguing and fast-paced and the twists were TWISTY. Ruby, the MC, is such a strong, badass character and I really empathised with the way she viewed the world. There really wasn’t a character I didn’t like (except for Zoe, who can die in a fire) and I really enjoyed watching Ruby grow as a character, and trying to guess where the plot of the book was going.
I did managed to guess some of the plot points, but let me just tell you guys, the final 50 pages of this book are WILD. I was LIVING for it. Ruby is the sassy bitch I wish I could be and I cannot express how much I’m looking forward to book 2, because the book ending where it did should frankly be criminal.

I would absolutely recommend this book to anyone who’s into romance, sci-fi and elements of thrillers. The best part is, it’s on Kindle Unlimited so all of my KU girlies can enjoy it as part of their subscription ✨

I read this book a few months ago and today finished the second book in the series. Really enjoyed the mystery elements that kept me scratching my head and the twists were wild. I completely guessed the wrong thing. The second book is just as interesting a read and I think it's written better. The author has improved in their skill at showing not telling and impactful sentences. I'm excited to read the third book in the series. I hope we don't have to wait long for it.
