Sydney makes a living gorging herself live on camera to her legions of fans. No challenge is too big, no meal too calorific, and with a habit of taking weird requests from her followers, it’s only a matter of time until something goes wrong…
When she unwraps a weird envelope of perishable goods, she is forced to test her boundaries and learn who to trust, whilst dealing with a grotesque, inhuman challenge of her own.
Rob writes visceral, concept-driven horror stories, anchored by complex characters and offbeat narratives.
Born in Portsmouth, UK, Rob received his bachelor of arts in Film Production from the University for the Creative Arts in Farnham. Having trained in filmmaking, and working as a director and producer on everything from music videos to shorts to feature-length anthology films, Rob’s official writing journey started in 2020.
When not writing, he can be found watching cheesy 90s films, baking cakes and haunting local bookstores.
Imagine Willy Wonka’s blueberry scene... only darker, grosser, and way more horrifying. That’s the energy Bloat brings. The story follows a mukbang streamer who receives a mysterious package with strict instructions she chooses to ignore. What follows is a grotesque descent into hunger, excess, and transformation as her body begins to swell and demand more. The vivid, sensory writing makes every detail impossible to shake; it’s indulgent, disturbing, and strangely mesmerizing.
Sydney is a streamer, what she streams consists of her eating for her undying fans. One day while sifting through the fan mail she finds a bag of jerky. The next time she streams she tries out the snack sent from her viewer, little did she know eating this would start an addiction that takes more than it gives.
This book was a quick read that would definitely satisfy your body horror cravings. The gore and writing was phenomenal and i’ll never look at “beef jerky” the same!
Bloat is an extreme Horror short story so check your triggers if you need to.
This is a short story at around 28 pages but wow it packs a punch!
One day she receives a snack in the post which she eats on her livestream, and lets just say things go all kinds of wrong after she tries it… I don’t want to say much more on the plot as the book is so short I don’t want to spoil anything!
The story follows a character called Sydney, she makes a living online, live streaming herself eating for her followers. As a creator Sydney often receives fan mail, gifts and food items that her fans would like to see her eat on camera.
Now, l am a big fan of Body Horror so this hit all the right marks for me and is a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read for me.
It’s quick, to the point and disgusting!
Rob does a really good job of really going into detail about what is happening to her body, it’s one of my favourite things with this type of horror, the progression of what is happening to the body. This was done so well that you kind of feel like you are watching what is happening rather than reading it!
If you are a fan of body horror and are ready for this little gross fest you should definitely pick Bloat up, its available via Godless and is such a quick fun little read.
Sydney is an extremely popular content creator. She has a huge following. Does she have an OnlyFans account? Nope. She is all about Mukbang. The more calories, the better. She will eat anything, including the things her fans send her. One particular fan sends her a tasty treat that changes everything.
A vile little short story that will surely make you a bit queasy. Especially if you are eating while reading it. Another solid tale from Ulitski that will satiate your body horror hunger. Definitely check it out.
Sydney gorges herself online for her fans. Thousands tune in to watch her attempt the cardiac arrest platter! This video is a huge success and she moves on to opening some of her fan mail.
She receives a package from one of her fans with a strange jerky inside. Sydney can’t get enough of the mysterious meat. But that mystery meat has a strange effect on her body. Despite this Sydney can’t stop eating.
