He’s a thief. She’s a queen. Fate will make or break them.

Trapped in a gang he cannot escape, Bastien struggles to help his friend work off mounting debt. But no amount of good deeds can erase the sins of Bastien’s past—or change his future. It’s just him and a meaningless life of barely keeping ahead of his bad choices and even worse luck.

That is, until he sees her .

With the kingdom back under her rule, Faelyn must do everything in her power to keep it from falling into enemy hands. Even if that means marrying a hateful foreign prince. When a street thief crosses her path, emotions long dormant stir within her. But a queen cannot marry a commoner, and following her heart carries dire consequences.

Theirs is a love that spans lifetimes, but Fate has not been kind. If Bastien and Faelyn can’t trust they are worthy of that love, more than just lives will be lost. The fate of the world is in their hands.

FATED SWORN is the highly anticipated third book in the Fated Born Series, full of heart-wrenching character growth, magical twists, and forbidden romance. The books are best read in order.

Spice: No 🌶, but filled with moments of heartwarming love & bits of steamy moments!

I would first like to thank the author for the eARC opportunity! Like always, this review is voluntary & honest.

Writing this review has me filled with is such a bittersweet feelings because I remember signing up to read an advanced reader copy of the first book of the series, which was also the author's debut book, & falling in LOVE with it. The second book became another favorite that stole my heart & this third book, which is the conclusion to this series, HAD ME FEELING EVERYTHING.

This journey has been a beautiful one, beginning to end. We've got forbidden love, forgotten memories and ANGST GALORE. The plot Kristin created was such a unique one, as well as her characters who grew tremendously throwout the series & defied so many odds. This was a story of star-crossed lovers, I feel this is the best way to describe the main characters. Their love was one that was fighting remain alight for CENTURIES. It spans lifetimes.

Faelyn is a character I will forever hold close to my heart. Her growth, especially from book 2 to this one, had me tearing up by the end. She is a character that's been selfless from the very beginning, fighting to regain her kingdom & prioritizing the wellness & happiness of her people above all else. There was no place for selfish wants, that is until she meets a certain thief who brought her to life in all the ways she never knew she needed. Faelyn prioritized others before herself for years & it was heartwarming to see her realize her happiness was a priority as well. Faelyn is a kind, just & fierce Queen who's beloved by many & that love was one she deserved after so much pain & hardship.

Bastien, he is another character who I will hold close my heart forever & always. His story had my heart hurting & hoping he got the happiness he truly deserved. His perseverance & the way he never lost the light in his heart. His kindness even when he grew up surrounded by cruelty. The person he was shaped to become was one I was so proud of. One I rooted wholeheartedly for. He became a hero to many & he remained so humble & selfless. His love & dedication to Faelyn left me in awe at times at how pure & powerful it was. Their bond was just beautiful overall.

This was such a beautiful conclusion to the series & Kristin tied everything together in such an incredible way. I will truly miss these characters & this world she created. Like I said, it's bittersweet that this series is completed! This Upper YA Epic Fantasy series is one I wholeheartedly recommend. If you haven't started the Fated Born series, you should definitely give it a shot. I promise you will not regret it 🤍

It’s so hard to find books like this one- clean, slow burn, and absolutely captivating. The conclusion to Ardanis and Laida’s love as so satisfying, and I enjoyed devouring this trilogy. Reading it scratched n itch in my brain that was looking for the type of love that endures long-standing trials and separation the way this one does, and it came full circle so well. This series moved me so deeply and made me feel so invested in the characters. 12/10 would recommend. Please write more books like this!

I was on Instagram and saw this book with a beautiful cover and it caught my eye, so I go over to check out the author and decided to follow her, and saw that this was the second book in this series. I immediately went and bought the book and then I was lucky enough to be an ARC reader for Fated Reign and Fated Sworn.

This series has tattooed itself on my heart and I absolutely fell in love with Faelyn. When she was Laidia in Acanthia, she was wonderful and kind; however, when she became Faelyn on Terra, she really grew into her own. You travel through all the journeys right beside her and can't help but fall in love with this endearingly beautiful character.

Ardenis has loved Laidia since Fated Born, and then fell in farther and deeper in love with her as she grew into Faelyn. When he is born and becomes Bastien, that undeniable pull towards each other is a force that neither can deny. As the story goes on, there are moments of joy, sorrow, anger, anxiousness, fear, love, and all the emotions that a GREAT book can pull from you. Fated Sworn does not disappoint!

The series was one of the best that I have read, and I recommend it to everyone that I can. I will miss Faelyn, but I always know that all I have to do is open the pages and she will be right there all over again.

Not a bad series - I enjoyed its uniqueness a lot! Could have used a little more in the final chapter & epilogue to like bridge the gap between them but still good!

Best quote in the whole book was the one from my earlier updates but it can be here twice 🥰❤️

“I’ll find you,” he said to her. His voice rang loud with pain. “I’ll crawl on hands and knees to the Hereafter if that’s what it takes. I will see you again.”

This is one of my favorite series I have read. The character development, world building, the beautiful writing…everything pulled at my heartstrings and I never wanted to stop reading. It was a beautiful series and I only wish there were more. If you love strong friendships, slow burn romance, magic, alternate worlds…you will love the Fated Born series.

Amazing. Simply amazing. As sad as I am for this series to end, I feel like I got exactly what I wanted from all of the characters. The world build was amazing. The tension was high, there was so much at stake in this book and the way it all came together, fell apart, and came back together was incredible. I felt for Faelyn so much, I sympathized with Bastien. The pull they had with each other was swoon worthy. I can't get enough of the attraction. I will miss them!!

I absolutely loved this trilogy. The characters, plot line, all of it was a delight. It is so rare to find a book that not only is a pleasure to read, but also leaves you wondering and pondering about life, relationships and your purpose and how valuable it is. Fated Sworn was that for me. It will make you wonder about who you are and what you are capable of doing.

ARC REVIEW

Fated Sworn by Kristin L. Hamblin

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/ 5

❕minor spoilers❕

When starting this last installment of the Fated Born trilogy I had a general idea of what to expect and I was so glad I was right. He’s an orphaned thief, she’s a queen who has just recently reclaimed her kingdom, and they have a sort of bond that that pulls them together despite the bad timing and differing social classes.

Against all odds Laida and Ardenis, or rather, Faelyn and Bastien; find their way back to each other in the mortal lands.

The yearning and pining for each other between the main characters was well done. It’s typically hard for me to get into YA series without the ~spice~, but this story was able to snag my attention and keep me reading. There is no way I would’ve been able to stop without finding out if Ardenis’ original fating of him in the far away future came true.

Overall, I’m so glad I found this series. I went in blind and I’m so happy I did it that way. Completed trilogy? Yes please. I’m looking forward to future works from Kristin.

As always, this review is 100% honest. Thank you Kristin for the ARC opportunity ✨

This was quite the ending to the Fated Born series. Full of Forbidden love and alluding to forgotten memories, Fated Sworn is different from the other two books in that it entirely takes place in our present world, whereas Fated Born and Fated Reign also show a pre-earth life.

One of my favorite aspects was seeing Faelyn's growth as a queen throughout the series. She really shined in Fated Sworn and I really enjoyed seeing her leadership shine through as she fought alongside her people.

I will say that the ending is not what I expected. I wish I could have had more information of what the Epilogue discussed.

Content Considerations: A few steamy moments. Sex before marriage is implied but not described.

Thank you to the author for the advance copy. A positive review was not required.

I don’t even know where to begin but wow what a finale!

This book is the definition of action packed in my opinion. 😁
It’s written incredibly well. (As are the other books in this series.)

I’ve really enjoyed the depth of the author’s ability to describe people/ places.

I sometimes struggle to form a clear picture of scenes in my head, however that wasn’t a problem in this book.

I could picture things really clearly which is great!

I was very much hooked from start to finish.

And I was especially happy when the two main characters find their way back to each other. 😊

(If you’ve read the whole series you’ll know what I mean by that.)

The authors way of storytelling and intertwining things is very clever and I’ve really enjoyed this series.

Lastly I know that a lot of people have already said this but I really do recommend that you read the books in series order!

Otherwise you really won’t know what’s led up to certain events etc.

What a fantastic, engaging book!

the pacing for book 3 is awful

80% into the story and the final 20% is all a rushed battle sequence wrapping up a bunch of plot holes from elsewhere in the previous books.

Really loved books 1 & 2 though.

I thoroughly enjoyed this series. There were certainly flaws in Bastien and Faelyn but I enjoyed their story and it touched the tiny fragment left in my heart that is still a romantic.

What an ending to the series. Even though the overall ending to the book and series was predictable, I can confidently say that the ride to the ending was not. It was engaging, action packed and there were even times where I thought we lost some of our favourite characters, but luckily, we didn’t (you can tell that she’s a new author, by how much she loves her characters and the fact that she’ll make it seem like she kills them off, just for them to barely make it 😂). I just had an absolute ball reading this book and the entire series! This series definitely deserves way more hype!
