An anthology devoted to robots and space, featuring the works of Gregory Benton, Jeffrey Brown, Renee French, Jay Geldhof, Paul Hornschemeier, Ellen Lindner, Scott Mills, Bernie Mireault, John Pham, Joel Priddy, Paul Rivoche, Vince Stall, Rob Ullman and others. The interior is printed with metallic blue ink, and the corners will be round to give it that hi-tech look! Four-color cover by Dave Cooper, with spot gloss varnish.
The perfect anthology in as much as there’s a wide variety of styles and tones going on, and obviously some work better than others, but crucially they all make me want to create again as soon as I’m physically able to do so. And what more can you ask?
This was a pretty tedious read, not very interesting and not the best graphics. Sara Varon's Robot Dreams didn't make it into this anthology and I'm glad because her work is SO much better than anything I found here.
Some great stories and interesting art (all involving robots and/or space), though I felt it wasn't as strong as the next anthology in the series, Project Superior.
As with any collection, there were comics I did like and those I did not--some weren't even comics at all, just illustrations of robots/futuristic creatures.
A few pieces stand out (Hornschemeir's We Were Not Made For This World is excellent). Many are completely forgettable, and at least one is more like an ad for another book.
