This is a cute book that is my girlfriends favorite! This is a classic Childress book that never misses. It is a very sweet message between kids and their mothers. Younger children would love this book especially with their family. I also remember reading this when I was younger and I loved it.

What could be more precious than a gem, a rose petal, a feather? Read this little picture to your baby and find out.

This was a really cute book. It follows a mother and baby bear through the woods as baby bear tries to discover what the most precious thing out there is. They encounter a lot of different things in nature and baby bear is puzzled as to why his mother keeps saying everything they find isn't the most precious thing. In the end baby bear discovers that the "most precious thing" his mother was referring to was him. The book's main focus is the love a parent has for a child. I would not recommend this for a classroom book but it would be good for home use.

In this book, the baby bear cannot figure out what the most precious thing is! She thinks it is a material item, little does she know it is her! The baby bear learns she is very important to her mother. Which is something that all children should know!

Bright and happy illustrations. Sweet story idea but common, predictable and overused which makes the reading a bit tedious for a read aloud.
