Finding fragments of a heart? Magic connected to ancient Seer and just dang. Diego and Jack’s story is not the same fantasy you’ve read, you will be pulled in and having to know what happens next!

I received this ARC for an honest review, all thoughts/opinions above are my own!

Let me start by saying I don’t read a ton of fantasy books because I find they tend to drag. But that was NOT the case in VoS!

Let’s talk pace and flow. There were so many opportunities where the author could have lingered in certain parts of this book but she didn’t, she wrote each scene so well that there was no need to drag things on and on while still managing to create a world that was submersible and characters that you fall completely in love with. It felt like every time my heart had just stopped racing she was slapping me with the next exciting scene.

Next up characters. You will meet many different characters in this book, two being the focal point. But the author somehow manages to make you feel like you know each one on a personal level, down to the talking cat Puddin. Jack, the main character is everything I love in a FMC. She is strong, brilliant, clever and believable. Diego, the MMC is heartbreakingly beautiful and everyone’s new book boyfriend for sure. I would search a million lifetimes to help repair his heart.

The subtle hints of romance laced between the beautiful magic is the kind of intimacy and connection that makes your heart flutter and your vision go hazy begging for one more touch/kiss between the lovers. So beautiful without being too much, overdone, or inappropriate for younger readers. It’s honestly beautifully JUST enough.

This book is going to take you on an amazing adventure of past and present and all the in-between of the beautiful worlds and settings the author has created and leave you asking WHAT NEXT!

I am excited for the next book and will be anxiously awaiting its release so I can see what happens next to these characters that I have so quickly fallen in love with.

I was so honored to be on Jana’s arc team for her debut novel, and I loved this story! There’s magic, mystery, intrigue, danger, betrayal and romance. Jack was an amazing female lead. She’s sweet, caring, compassionate and not all consumed with being powerful. She’s perfectly happy and content with her life and her magic shop. But something goes wrong one night, and she quickly realizes that she isn’t having her usual innocent visions anymore. An angry, malevolent magical being is bent on destroying her. Mixed into these visions is a man she’s never met before, but that she’s inexplicably drawn to. Diego needs her help piecing his heart back together before he dies altogether. With the help of magic, her friends and a talking cat, can she save Diego before it’s too late? And can she fix what’s wrong with the magical link of the realms? Or will the angry, magical power hunting her down strike her from where she least expects it? This book was high on the story line and mystery aspects! Trying to piece together what happened in the past and tie it together to the present kept me turning the pages! I love how all of these characters get their own POV chapters, and I love how flawed they all are. Peony might be my favorite, and she’s going to be so mad about that ending! I definitely recommend this book! Can’t wait for book 2!

Okay, let me start off by saying wow. I am absolutely mind blown. The writing is so beautiful. I love how much detail is packed into a perfectly articulated story. Jack’s story is one that will suck you in and keep you hooked. Many POVs and you get a whole wrap around of the story. If this book wasn’t labeled as book 1 of The Seer’s Blessing, I would die. I have so many questions and I cannot wait to have them answered. It’s gonna be a long impatient wait. But I am so ready. Fantastic storyline and beautiful characters. In the beginning I had a lot of curiosities with the characters and since you get to see all of their POV it makes it so much better. Can’t wait to finish their story and see what becomes of Diego and Jack and their worlds.

Genres: Witch, Fall, Romance, Fantasy
My rating: 5 stars
About the book: Jack has always known she was a powerful psychic, I mean she makes her living owning a shop where she sales psychic readings. Her sister and best friend, who is more like a sister, are also powerful alchemists in their own right, each with different skills. What Jack doesn’t know is that her power comes from an ancient goddess called the Seer. When she starts to have visions of a mysterious man and possibly the end of her life the story gets interesting.
My take on the book:
All the witchy fall vibes! Psychics, witches, hearts literally shattered oh my!! From the first page of the book I was legit hooked and couldn’t put it down! This author really has a way with word weaving and scene setting. Not a dull moment or a lull in the storyline. I can’t wait until the next book comes out so I see what happens to Jack and Diego!!

I received this book in exchange for my honest review.

Thank you so much Jana for allowing me to be a part of your ARC team for Visions of a Snapdragon.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The perfect amount of fantasy to draw you in and make you not want to leave.

Jack is a powerful psychic and Diego is a king vanished from his world for a decision he made in the name of love.

In order to help Diego Jack must put together his shattered heart.

The melding of todays world and another realm is magical, enchanting and the perfect example of Urban Fantasy.

I can’t wait to see what happens to Jack next.

This is perfect introduction to fantasy for anyone who wants to give this genre a try. The world building is solid and the creatures and characters mentioned are well plotter and not overwhelming.

One of the most remarkable aspects of this book is the author's ability to convey the depth of emotions and sensitivity of the characters. Protagonist Jack's unique psychic gift, allowing her to read others, adds a layer of intrigue but also serves as a mirror to our own heightened sensitivities in the real world. It left me wondering if the author shares a similar sensitivity to the world, making the story feel incredibly authentic.

Each character's perspective is distinct and well-crafted, allowing to delve deep into their personalities, fears, desires and quirks and connect with them on a profound level.
The world-building in this book is nothing short of extraordinary. I found myself completely absorbed in the intricate details of the magical realm of Obius.

The central theme of forbidden love between Jack and Diego adds depth and urgency to the story, with palpable chemistry that kept me engaged throughout their high-stakes quest.
As the narrative unfolds, the stakes rise, and Jack's role becomes increasingly vital, the author masterfully explores themes of sacrifice, destiny, and the power of love while keeping readers on the edge of their seats with Jack's ominous visions.

"Visions of Snapdragon" is an enchanting and unforgettable read. It's a book that not only transports you to a world of magic but also touches your heart with its profound exploration of love, destiny and sacrifice. The author's sensitivity to emotions and her ability to craft a beautifully written narrative make this book a must-read for fans of urban fantasy and romance. Prepare to be moved, enchanted, and left at the edge of your seat. This book is not just a standalone gem but a compelling entry point into what’s to come next!

[REVIEW] I was very impressed by Jana's debut album. It had magic, alchemy, ancient goddesses, action, and romance. Even with the mistakes Diego made in his past, I still found him to be such a likable character and was really rooting for his throughout the novel. Jack and her sisters are strong-willed women with an unbreakable bond. Visions of Snapdragon has all the elements of a good fantasy novel and I can't wait for the next installment in this series. *this one ends on a cliffhanger*

*I received an ARC of this novella in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own*

Let me start by saying that this was a really impressive debut novel.

Visions of Snapdragon is about magic, a fractured heart, alchemists, fae creatures and an eventful split between realms. It’s a light and fast paced book with characters that are not always what they seem.

I really liked that there were multiple POVs in this story and not only that of the main characters. The main characters read a bit cliche and I have to admit I wasn’t a huge fan of them and their romance. Instead, I really loved Mari, Peony, the cat and Falcon. Their storylines, struggles and POVs were actually my favorite. I liked how vulnerable yet independent Mari was while being Jack’s best friend, but how at the same time she didn’t let that define her completely. Peony was such a badass, taking care of everything but putting herself first at the same time. Falcon was complex and had a great sense of humor. And finally, my personal favorite, Puddin, who has a no-bullshit attitude but at the same time cares so much about Jack.

Over all, I wish there was more world-building, the main romance really didn’t do it for me and I would like to get more dimension of the villain, but I still really enjoyed the readings, the banter and light humor, the struggles and the paths of these characters… most of all, I enjoyed their friendships and how all of them put family first and navigated this magical world.

Such a great debut novel by Jana Sun! I did receive this as an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review, however, I have bought a physical copy of the book as well for myself.
I loved this book. It was such a fun adventure to embark on with the characters. The characters were so fun and lovely, written so well. They felt like real people! Personally, I felt it was a bit slow paced at the start, but it did pick up after a bit, and it was a wild ride from there.
Jack, Mari, Falcon and Diego are such diverse and yet similar characters (if that makes sense). I loved the prominent, but more minor characters the best (Sherwin is my favorite).
If you're someone who loves a good fantasy book, go pick this one up!

I was given the honor of being on Jana’s ARC team in exchange for an honest review. Thank you Jana!! (She’s a sweetheart 💕)

Visions of Snapdragon is an urban fantasy about a witch named Jack who is being haunted by visions, a guy named Diego with a (literally) shattered heart, and a string of incredible characters that come along on the journey of finding out how to heal Diego’s heart and the links between realms that Diego ~may~ have broken.

I loved the vibe of this book!! Jack runs a small witchy store where she does psychic readings and sells crystals, which is absolutely adorable. Jacks sisters are amazing and I love all of them. To be honest, there wasn’t a single character in this book that wasn’t incredibly well written. The plot had me hooked and the ending did not make it any easier on me 🥲
This is the perfect read for fall vibes or if you just want a good witchy read 🔮💚

At first, I was a little confused by the perspective jumps. However, when I got used to them I actually liked how we got to see all sides of the story!

The beginning of the book was a little hard to get into for me, but as soon as I got through the initial world-building I absolutely devoured this book.

Now all I have to do is wait for book 2 🫠

I received an ARC for an honest review. Thank you Jana for welcoming me as part of your arc team!

His heart is shattered into pieces from trying to save the world, and the people, he loved. Her visions are haunted by a magical being that wants her dead. Together, can they fix themselves and the link between their worlds?
The vibes? Immaculate. Characters? Love them. Concept? Fresh and new.
I love the idea of a modern world and fantasy realm interconnecting. A psychic who starts having visions of a man who is searching for her? WHY? Because she's the answer to putting the fragments of his heart back together... Literally! I LOVED Diego and Jack. They have an instant connection that, obviously, runs deeper than just attraction. Plus, they both have beautiful magically abilities. This book has all the witchy, fall vibes your heart desires!

What I didn't love:
I don't think the multiple POVs was necessary. I could see why three or four might be needed... but I think we got to seven of six different POVs total? I just wasn't a fan. Second, I understand that world building is HARD! But I think the world building could have been explained or just done better. I'm still left with some questions and confusion, but maybe that will be answered in book #2.

I am soooo looking forward to book #2, because that cliffhanger? I need to know what happens next!!!

I can’t say enough about this book! This was such a fun read! Each character developed so well. I really enjoyed the multiple POV because it gave the story more depth. There are many main characters in this book and I think it’s important that we see their perspective to help build their personalities. I was instantly attached to all of the characters.

The scene was set and I felt as if I was in a chilly, beach town while reading this book in 90 degree heat in Florida! The story line kept me engaged and I struggled to put it down. Of course, I still have some unanswered questions but it is book 1 of a series, so that’s how it should be, right?

By the end of the story, I found myself yelling at the characters because it was that much of a cliffhanger. This book checked all of my boxes for fantasy, romance, a little bit of laughs and some heart tugging emotions.

I am grateful to have been apart of this ARC team and being able to give my full honest opinion on the story.

Visions of Snapdragon was unlike anything I’ve read before! It’s set in modern day, but there’s magic secretly hidden from most mortals, and magic users are called alchemists. Jack is our main character, and she has the gift of seeing the future. Her best friend Mari, sister Peony, and her sometimes absent mother are all orbiting her and helping her as she runs her shop. When she begins connecting to another being, she starts getting visions beyond her control. And the being she’s seeing is coming to find her. Diego, a former king of another land full of magic, believed her to be his dead love, his Priestess, Snapdragon. He also needs her help, as his heart was shattered and he’s slowly dying with only one piece barely going in his chest. And from there, chaos ensues!

The world created here is wonderful. There’s so much great world building with the magic and its different types, the different lends, the goddesses, fae creatures, and so much more! I loved getting to learn about everything as we went, slowly piecing it together. Much like the plot! It’s a bit of a mystery what’s actually going on. We get a lot of thoughts from the different POV characters about what they each think is going on, but no definitive answers quite yet. Though, by the end, you’ll definitely have your suspicions!

Jack is a great protagonist. She’s strange and layered. Sometimes seeming sort of out of it with all her visions, other times she’s like a rock. It was so interesting as we slowly unraveled her character. Both through her own thoughts and those of everyone around her. I really enjoyed getting those POVs from everyone, where you can definitely see some are more reliable than others. They each have their own ways of looking at the world, and their own ways of seeing one another. It’s the same for all the characters really, you get to see different aspects and strengths through the way others understand them. It was fascinating!

You also get to see all the different relationships this way. The way each one was different from the next. The dynamics between Jack, Mari, and Peony especially. It was great to learn all the different ways they connect to one another, how they lean on each other, and support one another. They all have somewhat different functions to the others, and it was so cool to watch it all unravel. Especially once we get the two chaotic messes, Diego and Falcon. Falcon being his best friend and helper of sorts. The dynamic between those two is just as great. It’s so strange, being that Diego doesn’t truly act human, while Falcon is, so you get a lot of interesting interactions between them. And then doubly so once they begin interacting with the girls.

I loved getting into Jack’s gifts as well. Everyone’s really, but Jack’s especially. Her seer abilities are so intriguing to me. And the way they connect her to another world, as well as Diego. When the two of them meet, you can instantly feel the connection between them, as it’s been built up over several astral projected meetings. Diego, however, is a complete hot mess. With pieces of his heart missing, his immortality, his changed form, his magic waning, and believing Jack to be the reincarnation of his past lover. It’s a recipe for a fantastic story quite frankly!

I loved the relationship building between Jack and Diego. He’s broken, but she’s helping to put him back together. You can truly see life begin to return to him. His past with Snapdragon is linked intimately with what is happening in the present with Jack. It’s very multilayered. But what they begin to have now is also completely their own. They begin to build something that has the makings of something beautiful. But Snapdragon is jammed right in the middle. And I’m not sure how exactly, that will play out in the future! Not wanting to spoil the reveal, I’ll only say that things are very complicated for these two. And even more so by the end!

There were so many times I was sure I knew where this was going, only for it to completely surprise me. This tale is very different than I’d thought it would be at the beginning. Each thing set up seems to go a different way than you’d expect. It really kept me guessing and super intrigued about where it was all leading! The end of the book left off on a cliffhanger, that has me salivating for the next book! I don’t always enjoy more contemporary set stories, so falling in love with this immediately surprised me! But I truly did. From the first chapter, I couldn’t stop reading and had to know what was going on.

Wanting to unravel the mysteries of Jack’s visions and the strange version of herself she sees with vines and plants covering every inch of her. Of the elusive Snapdragon and what the deal was there. Is Jack Snapdragon like Diego thinks? Or is something else going on? These questions had me desperate for answers! And I devoured this to get them! I so need the next book to see where this goes next with such a huge change! And that climax, man! It was huge and wonderful. These characters are so powerful and certainly have gifts they haven’t yet tapped into. I can’t wait to see how they grow from here. How Jack handles what is coming. What happens with Diego now? Falcon? Mari? Abuela?! So many questions still to be answered!

I received eARC of this book. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

THANK YOU so much Jana for the opportunity to read and review your debut book! I absolutely adored 𝗩𝗜𝗦𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗡𝗔𝗣𝗗𝗥𝗔𝗚𝗢𝗡!

This was the PERFECT read to end spooky season with. The witchy vibes were perfect and I loved this introduction to Jack and Diego’s story.

This was such a unique read, I really loved that we got to see the story from so many POVs. The plot was so intriguing and literally kept me guessing on every single page. There were so many points and pieces to put together as I was trying to figure out things that happened in the past, things that were happening in the present, and then everything that was happening in Jack’s visions. I loved the mystery elements we were getting along with all the fantasy and witchy vibes - the blend was perfect!

I really loved the characters too - Jack and Diego, Mari, Peony.. I love how complex they all are. They all add something so special to the story and I love how easy they were to connect with.

I really loved the way this story flowed, too. The writing is fantastic and the way Jana wrote the story makes it so easy to read. I just got lost in it and couldn’t put it down! It was exciting, a definite page turner and the ending will make you need the next book asap!

What more could I ask for? What more could I need from a book? THE NEXT BOOK TO BE OUT ASAP- that is what I NEED and I am BEGGING for it to be out soon!

When I first heard talks about Visions of Snapdragon, I was interested and intrigued and new that I needed to read this ASAP.

The lovely Jana Sun, graciously let me be a part of her ARC team, and I have never been happier. It was like Christmas came early when I received Visions of Snapdragon.

The strength it has taken me to not finish this in one sitting…I need a gold medal. I wanted to devour this book but knew that I wanted to take my time. I am glad that I did, but I seriously need more!

Also, I love sassy animal familiars and now, I want one for myself.

The interactions between Jack and Diego, their chemistry, the romance all chef’s kiss.

Visions of Snapdragon is filled with magic, fate, love, destiny, romance, adventure and more!

This was my first book by Jana Sun, and it will absolutely not be my last!

Visions of Snapdragon by Jana Sun is a beautifully written, incredibly detailed fantasy filled with magic, mystery, adventure, betrayal, and a touch of romance. There is wonderful world building, connecting the modern world with the fantasy realm. The wonderful characters we are introduced to are charming and very complex.
Jack our beautiful, FMC is trying to fully understand her abilities and manage her visions. Diego, our broken hearted, mysterious MMC is racing against time to survive in the modern world he is stuck in. Mari and Falcon are incredibly loyal friends to our main characters. They have fantastic chemistry, and feisty banter. Learning the depth of the relationships of our characters and how they are intertwined is wonderfully written and incredibly captivating. The multi POV adds depth to the mystery intrigue of the story. There are so many unexpected twists and many questions needing to be answered. Visions of Snapdragon takes you on an enchanted ride that touches your heart and is a must read for anyone who loves urban fantasy. I cannot wait to see how this journey continues.

Visions of Snapdragon is a magical adventure from beginning to end. Jack has magical abilities and is a psychic. She starts seeing visions of a mystery man, but isn’t sure what they mean. Soon, she meets Diego, the mystery man from her visions and discovers they have an instant connection.

Diego has been banished to Earth for shattering the links between Earth and his magical realm. Additionally, his heart has been shattered into pieces, and Jack may be the only one who can restore the connection between realms and fix his heart.

This book is a quick, enjoyable read. The characters were great, especially Puddin’ and Peony. I also really enjoyed the relationship between Jack, Mari, and Peony. The pacing of the story was really well done, and I was engaged from the beginning to end! I typically enjoy multiple POVs, but there were so many and they switched so frequently that I found it a bit difficult to keep track of at times. I wish there was a bit more world building, because I have some questions about the different realms.

Overall, this was a good read, and I’m looking forward to book 2! I received an advance review copy which I voluntarily chose to read and review. (Shout out to Jana for welcoming me on her ARC team!)

Visions of Snapdragon was a wonderfully unique read - the story and magic pulled me in immediately and kept me hooked until the last page!

The characters in this book were the best part - each had their own personality, with little quirks and very distinct voices even during scenes with multiple points of dialogue. I think the multi-POV really helped to develop that side of things and allowing the reader to get close to each character.

Jana developed a well-crafted and considered magic system, weaving in tiny details (ie. reintroducing themselves to new barriers and wards so their magic would be recognized) in a way that built out the system but wasn’t overwhelming or unnatural.

Jana also created beautifully constructed worlds with full histories and landscapes that were introduced little by little - I learned so much about each but at no point did it feel like info-dumping. The writing style was immersive and descriptive without overdoing it.

I’m so glad that this is part of a longer series because I’m dying to spend more time with these characters!

In this multi-POV urban fantasy, we follow Jack and her fellow witches (alchemists) as they encounter Diego--a king from another realm who was thought to be dead. Together, they must find the missing pieces of his heart and put them back together before he's lost forever. Meanwhile, the link between earth and Diego's magical realm is broken, and no one knows why. But Jack may be the only one who can save them all.

This novel is fully of mystery, intrigue, family, and love; I had a great time on this journey. The characters were lovable and relatable, leaving more room for growth and discovery in future books. I loved how this urban fantasy so effortlessly combined our world today with the typical elements found in a fantasy novel. The writing was readable with a fun southern dialect, and I found myself reeling at the cliffhanger.

If you're a fan of witches, fated mates, and found family, you're going to love Visions of Snapdragon. Just be prepared--you're going to want more.

Hi - yes - I have read this book and I have yelled at this author in the process (with soooo much love) because these characters are so lovable and relatable and nice that they don't deserve ANY of the sh*t Jana Sun put them through.

Here is an excerpt of my shouting from coming to the end of book one:
"SOS THERE AREN'T ENOUGH PAGES"
"FALCON WHY?'
"b**** YOU DID NOT LEAVE ME ON THAT CLIFFHANGER"

To be fair, Jana did, in fact, fulfill my order for the rest of the trilogy within 24 hours. So if you're interested in reading this book of fated mates and found family and everyone hating the same person and then wondering if you should dislike a few others, save yourself the trouble and download/purchase all 3 books.

Because let's be honest, who doesn't ship a blessed seer and a magical king?

A great fantasy debut! The plot is fresh with plenty of magical elements I enjoyed. Fragmented pieces of a heart, psychic abilities, alchemists, fae creatures, a split between realms, and some surprises along the way.

One of my favorite things in a story is a strong female character, so having three in one story was a delight. I loved seeing the uniqueness in each characters magic, as well as the wide range of personalities. I'm looking forward to seeing more interactions between the MCs, Jack, and Diego because the slow burn is real.

The ending is quite abrupt, leaving you to wonder what happens next for Jack and the others?

Thank you, Jana Sun, for giving me the opportunity to be a part of your ARC team.

This Book Is So Cute

I’ve been waiting impatiently for this book to come out because Jana’s art and posts about it were so adorable, and honestly, it was worth the wait.

The characters are adorable and the plot is superb. I loved the sassy cat familiar and the banter between everyone. I didn’t know how things were going to unfold in this story and it kept me on the edge of my seat.

If you like magic and witches, fated mates and plot twists, as well as hot male leads and close knit friendships with other characters outside of the main pairing, then you’re going to love this book.

This book is refreshing! The slow burn is tantalizing. The magic is incredible and intriguing. I wish the series was already complete because I need it!

The journey through the worlds is.... well.... magical. I put this book down with a need to smell the ocean and my wanderlust kicking in. The characters feel real. Abuela feels like home. Your heart wants to beat for Diego. Mari inspires strength. Peony makes you want to roll your eyes. Falcon makes you want to smack the back of his head. Puddin is the perfect pet. Jack is surprisingly human- for all she is. And what the Hell is Sherwin?!

I loved this book so much! Honestly it was such a nice change of pace from what I’ve read lately. I’m normally not a fan when you go past two or three POVs but I lived for all of them in this book. All the POVs tie in so together and pick up where the last leaves off that you get to know all of the characters without being mad you have to wait to get back to the story you were in the middle of. I cannot wait for book 2. Book one definitely ends on a cliff hanger. I am so invested in finding out who everyone truly is and uncovering everyone’s secrets!
