Picking up slightly in the future from where “I Have the Sight” left off, we find Eddie and Derek continuing their fight against demons possessing innocent victims here on Earth. Eddie’s powers are strong, however he can’t help wondering why all of these demonic forces are hinting at when addressing him personally. Eddie eventually uncovers the truth while doing battle with a possessed woman who appears stronger than most others.
What more can I say about these first 2 books from @rickwoodwriter who is easily turning into one of my favorite authors. The series is wonderfully wicked fun, with relatable characters, and a whole lot of nasty demons. Woods’ writing style is engaging, barb wire sharp, and descriptively captivating without drowning his reader(s) with a gallon of bloody useless info.
Everything about book two was spectacular, much like book one. I felt a little conflicted with the ending on this one, not only in the final confrontation, but a loose end during the final pages that was difficult for me to embrace. Hopefully that loose end with rectify itself in further books of the Edward King series.
If you haven’t started reading these books, get off your ass and dive into the pits of hell with Eddie! You won’t be disappointed!
