The emotional balance of this manga feels a little more stable after the introduction of Director Hase. He seems to be the most solid of all the characters so far... Nagisa is such an emotional roller coaster, it's kind of exhausting to read sometimes, so I think Hase brings a welcome calm to the series. (Though what was up with that ending to chapter 37? Weird choice of build up on the author's part.)

I was kind of hoping he might replace Senda - so many manga stick with the "first love is true love" (or at least, first relationship we see Nagisa in here) trope, it'd be really nice to have more stories that affirm reality; that the first person is often NOT the best person. But it seems like the author's setting him up with Hayama, which is also nice.

SO glad that obnoxious Riu is out of the scene. Her character type is a real turn off for me. It's interesting that the author is using her as a gimmick to continue to move the characters along and shape their decisions even when she's not actively present in the plot. I hope she stays out of the limelight... Or has a big change of personality.

I finished reading this in one sitting! I love this series. This volume felt like I filler but it was a necessary one to ask some questions and do some reflection. Can't wait to read volume 6!

Another good volume!

Despite the fact that Nagisa is still struggling with the changes that are happening in her life in this book, I really appreciate how we can see how she’s growing and that, ultimately, there is a light at the end of the tunnel for her. A stand out part of the book for me was when she took things into her own hands and went to visit her best friend and her fiancé.

As usual, the only thing that brought the score down for me was the art - there were some pretty melty looking faces in some panels! But that may just bother me more than it bothers others.

I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT! I KNEW IT! RIU DID IT AGAIN! AND THIS TIME WITH KIMIKO! NO!
But on the happy side of things, Kimiko's getting married <3

And Nagisa's boss (Hayama's replacement) recognized her from one of the photos that drove Hayama to quit. Someone knows her secret and he 'wants to talk' ... DON'T TRUST HIM!

This series has 6 volumes.
