The Rancher’s Inescapable Love is the sixth book in SJ McCoy’s sweet n steamy MacFarland Ranch series, and the second to feature an older couple – in their fifties.
Ace Zielinski is a laid-back kind of guy. He’s had his share of adventure, and now he’s content to live a quieter life back home in Paradise Valley.
Surrounded by lifelong friends, and never short on offers of female company, he enjoys dating, but prefers to keep his relationships short and sweet. He values his solitude up in his cabin above the ranch too much – no way does he want a woman disturbing his peaceful life.
He doesn’t mind going out of his way to help people. Last summer he helped a woman who came to the valley in the wake of a difficult divorce. Now, he’s about to be reminded that no good deed goes unpunished.
Ariana Knightly cannot figure out how her life got turned upside down so completely and abruptly. Yes, she knew that she might face some blowback after handling Stella Ansari’s divorce last year, but she never suspected that she’d find herself in danger, ousted from her own law firm, and worse still, stuck in the middle of nowhere, Montana.
Staying on the same ranch where Stella hid out last summer seemed like a good idea. However, Ari hadn’t taken into account that the winters in Montana are a whole lot different from the summers. But not even the subzero temperatures outside can lower the heat levels whenever she’s faced with Ace Zielinski.
All she knew from Stella was that Ace was a nice guy who’d helped her out.

The next installment in the Silver Series and doesn't disappoint. SJ McCoy keeps the story flowing with enough little snippets that keep you reading into the small hours and beyond. We follow Ari, a city lawyer who has retreated to the wilds to avoid Ansari who has been making her life difficult. We also meet Ace, a cowboy ex SEAL and confirmed bachelor, until his need to protect kicks in and the sparks fly.
Yet again, the story weaves in and out of characters we have met in previous books and series, so it's like reliving old friends and meeting new ones, drawing you into the lives of the MacFarlands and beyond. You forget you are reading about an older character, with enough steam to make you wish for your own cowboy!!

I always enjoy it when our characters meet for the first time and this first meeting was unforgettable between Ariana (Ari) and Ace. I also liked that they had a connection with Stella. Unfortunately, Ari isn’t in Montana on vacation even though she’s letting everyone think she is, but this group is pretty astute, and Libby and Ari definitely noticed it right away. I really felt for Ari especially when she hasn’t even been in town that long, and it comes to light that people are already looking for her. I loved seeing Ari and Ace get together and even though you might not think it’ll work, they fit together better than most people would think. One of my favorite scenes was when he comes over after work and feels so comfortable with Ari that he falls asleep. I’ve also decided that the Valley is definitely the place to be if you’re in trouble. It was also nice to see everyone again and I also liked getting to see and know more about her daughter Vanessa (Nessa). I knew something was coming and the last few chapters of this book had me on the edge of my seat since it was a matter of when it would happen, not if. And then we have loose lips Donna who tells Ari everything of why she ended up being asked to leave the firm even though Ari pretty much knew just not all the details. I also love when the cavalry, which is my term for when our group of guys gets together to save the day, gets together to make the plan and we get to see Cash and Mav again to help out. I also felt for Libby since she retreated back into herself after everything happened. I’m really hoping Libby and Mav can either have a second chance to make things right or get closure and both move on. The ending with Ari and Ace and Nessa was great. Another wonderful book and I can’t wait for the next story by SJ McCoy.

Ari was a good lawyer and had helped a friend get a divorce from her horrible husband. I would have been scared when the ex husband threatened me after the trial for helping his ex wife. Ari’s firm suggested she take a leave after something happened at their offices. Ari ended up in Montana renting a cabin from Ace. Ace was a handsome man that all the single older women wanted him. Here he was 57 and never had been married and was fine with it. I can only wonder what Ari thought when she was up in the mountains in a cabin away from people. I thought it was wonderful that Ace was attracted to her and was determined to keep her safe. Ari’s daughter Nessa had been staying in her home in Texas which Ace encouraged Ari to get her to move out in case Nessa was targeted with the awful man looking for his revenge on Ari. Nessa was a hoot that also had some really sweet things she said. There were times that melted my heart and other times that I was afraid for Nessa and Ari. I encourage you to read the book.

McCoy is a master writer for romance. They're always characters I like better than others, but they always fit into the scheme of things. The characters in McCoy's books are strong independent individuals with a sense of family with strong morals and values. All the series mix and blend to make you enjoy the read no matter the series.

This book has it all, an ex navy seal, a strong independent woman, romance, suspense, and lots of trips down memory lane visiting friends from stories past. I love the friendship bonds, and the family isn't always blood mentality throughout. This close knit group of friends who want nothing but the best for each other make my heart melt every single time!
Ace and Ari have both loved and lost long ago and weren't looking for more or expecting it to ever happen again when they found each other, and I love that they have finally gotten their forever love. Ari's daughter Nessa brought so much joy to the story. I loved her enthusiasm for life, and how happy she was for her mom. Highly recommend!

This is the sixth book in this phenomenal series, and this is Ace and Ariana’s story.
Ace is an ex-seal and rancher, and Ari is a lawyer, who is hiding after she helped a friend get a divorce from her horrible husband, and she becomes his target for vengeance.
This is a well written story which has family, friendships, humor, witty banter, danger, suspense, intrigue, emotions, undeniable chemistry, mystery, romance, and love, which leads to an entertaining, unpredictable, and steamy addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

Book 6 in the MacFarland Ranch is Ace and Ari's story. Ace has been on the periphery of the MacFarland series and we finally see his HEA. Ari is fleeing a situation and ends up renting Ace's cabin. On paper Ace a d Ari shouldn't work but these two are perfect together. As with SJ McCoy's books we get a glimpse at some of our favourite characters from previous books. This was a fantastic book and looking forward to the rest of the MacFarland gang.

Ari and Ace are great together! Ari is a lawyer and is having some trouble so she decides to go on a trip to get away. Ace is a rancher who was ex Navy Seals. He runs into Ari and wants to get to know her. He knows there is something she isn’t telling him. Can he move on from needing to know what’s going on? Will Ari stay or will she move back home? It was great to meet up with the rest of the crew too.

Ace and Ari are a perfect match. I could not put this book down! Ace and Ari both thought they would never find their forever love, but they clicked so quickly. Ari is one very strong and capable woman. Ace is a strong and lovable cowboy who is an ex Navy SEAL. This book has love, action, and family. I highly recommend it. This is by far one of my favorites.

Ace and Ari are the perfect couple. Between the romance , friendship and suspenseful car chase, I could not put this book down!
I love how strong of a character Ari is and the compassion that Ace shows to Ari makes me want to fall in love with a man just like him.
This book has suspense, love, action, and family. It’s definitely one to add to your reading list.

I absolutely love this series. Ace & Ari are a great couple along with her daughter Nessa. I love all the other characters from the other books being part of the story. I am very tired of Mav & Libby, they need to move on or get together. This was the only part of the book I got tired of was with them.

I just love Ace and Ari's book. Retired Navy Seal meets a lawyer. Instant chemistry, when he runs into her with hos cart at the grocery. He thinks he'll never see her again, then he meets his new renter. Non other than Ari. Sparks fly in this story the whole way thru. Even though she is in trouble he never wavers his love for her. This is an awesome book and series.

Another great read!
As always a book you can't put down!
This one has the extra touch of a group of men that have been told to get rid of a lady lawyer!
But her new friends are sure they can deal with the problem and stop the bad guys.

Great Plot
The plot and characters were great. A little risqué for some of us but worth the read. I love mystery and romance. Not so detailed in the bedroom but many enjoy. Your plots are great.

Ace & Ari
Great book, but that is what I've come to expect from this author. Ace is the kind of man that once he gives you his all he is all in. Ari is independent, sparky and a woman that deserves happiness. Enjoyed the read & getting lost in the story. (Reviewed by Lin)

I love this book. SJ did it again, an amazing story. They seem so real and take you into another world. The characters in this book are strong. You won’t be able to put this book down!

I have to say I thoroughly enjoy reading about mature couple! I loved Ace and Ari’s story. They are so perfect together. So nice to catch up with everyone! Got to see some old familiar faces and a couple of new ones. Love this series and looking forward to the next.

These two are perfect together. I loved catching up with characters from previous books. A captivating read that it was hard to put down.
