Ella Porter FBI #8

Girl Who Chases Ghosts

Rate this book
When the governor's murder is brazenly broadcast on live television, a secretive society emerges from the shadows, preying on the wealthy and the elite.

As the ominous countdown begins for the next target—her very own father, Jameson Porter—Ella's relentless pursuit leads her to a mysterious figure known only as the Architect, a reclusive billionaire whose dark influence looms large. In a heart-pounding game of cat and mouse, Ella must navigate the treacherous terrain of the Fairbanks Permafrost tunnel, the site of the governor’s murder.

She must piece together the clues, outsmart a ruthless enemy, and expose the truth before the final pieces of this deadly puzzle fall into place. Will she unmask the Architect's sinister agenda, or will she become the next victim in a conspiracy that threatens to tear the state apart?

Having worked on projects with New York Times Bestsellers and USA Today bestsellers, Georgia Wagner recently hit #1 bestseller with her newest series. Location and character are two big factors for Georgia, and getting those right allows the story to flow seamlessly onto the page. And flow it does, because Georgia is so prolific a new term is required to describe the rate at which nerve-tingling stories find their way into print.

When not found attached to a laptop, Georgia likes spending time in local arboretums, among the trees and ponds. An avid cultivator of orchids, begonias, and all things floral, Georgia also has a strong penchant for art, paintings, and sculptures. A many-decades-long passion for mystery novels and years of chess tournament experience makes Georgia the perfect person to pen the Artemis Blythe series. That's where it all started, but the drive to craft thrilling mystery tales soon demanded new characters in new locations.

Where will she take us next?

awesome Thriller

This awesome thriller really packs a punch . Ella Porter and Brenner Gunn are getting closer , they are on the hunt for the collective and the architect before he can destroy those close to her, as Mortimer Graves makes a brief appearance after Ella escapes danger too ,but who’s ordered her hit ? Her father certainly has in the past… when the governor dies live via live stream he’s forced to say Jameson Porter is next. They have a race against time with Ella’s sister breathing down her and Gunn’s neck and her husband the chief bringing in extra security resources at his wife’s behest. Twists and turns and misdirections. A very compelling read you simply won’t want to put down. The explosive chemistry is off the charts , the dangerous situations , angst and turmoil runs throughout the fast pace masterpiece. Cannot wait for book nine !!

With each book the stories get better and more exciting. The characters compliment each other in the most marvelous way. Very few can write evil as well as Ms. Wagner. She has the perfect touch and she uses it so well. In the end, we are all the lucky ones. Highly Recommended.

Enjoying the storylines however I wish the author would stop repeating the sentence at least once each chapter and sometimes more "adrenalin coursing through her veins" is getting very annoying -there is no need to keep saying this so often- would give a better rating if this was to cease

Whenever I finish a series, I wonder if there could be more. Once again, more unanswered questions. What happened to the Architect? What was Priscilla's reaction? Where was Ella's serial killer/knight in shining armor? Hoping for more.

A father's regard

A book that keeps you on the edge of your seat. The Collective is after Bella's father. She is doing everything she can to keep him safe. There is plenty of action and a surprise ending. I definitely enjoyed the story.

The hatred between these twins...
I'm very thankful that my twins love one another completely and unconditionally. Priscilla needs to have her head slapped so hard she gains a new perspective...just saying. Daddy Dearest is on the chopping block...will he survive? Ella has her work cut out for her this time. Fast paced and in your face!
