Shinobu Ohtaka (大高 忍, born May 9, 1983 Tokyo, Japan) is a Japanese manga artist. She is best known for the creation of the manga series Sumomomo Momomo and more recently, Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic.
World: The art is messy when the battles happen, I can barely follow what’s happening. The world building is a mess. The logic of the magic system goes out the window and it becomes a slug fest with escalating powers that make no sense for some reason.
Story: The story has devolved into essentially Dragon Ball Z, where someone strong comes and they need to escalate to win to their max, and the next one comes and does the same and does the same and does the same...it’s like every can give 1000% making that idea of “going above your limit” as common as breathing. All the dramatic tension is taken out of the story along with the logic.
Characters: The character are okay, there are moments with Titus which is melodrama, which I enjoy. There are moments of small emotions which are cool. Then there’s the nonsense of the action and the logic that goes out the window for them.
Argh...when will the battle end so we get back to the good stuff...oh wait after killing the big boss, we have even a bigger boss to fight so everyone...max max max max effort.
This Manga starts our humorous. I really enjoyed the characters at the beginning. The farther you read the deeper the plots become. Enjoyable at the beginning, and a must read for the later books. I can NOT wait for books 27 + Characters are real and raw. Everyone has there faults and I feel the author/artist dose a wonderful job of bringing everyones points of view, twisted though they might be, in to clear focus.
(note: I wouldn't recommend this manga for young teens. I fine the sexual innuendos pretty funny as an adult, but not really appropriate for younger audiences. Also the plot gets pretty dark at times. )
Gotta love the battles that are currently taking place! I cant get enough.
Firstly look at Alibaba on the cover, damn he looks so cool! The Way this volume slowed the entire story down to give some quite crucial information but then got righr back Into the chaotic battles that has been so prominent in the past few chapters was really well done. I cant wait to see how this fight will conclude!
OMG quero tanto dar as 5 estrelas mas os primeiros capítulos não foram grande coisa mas meu Deus os últimos capítulos foram épicos! Mal posso esperar por saber o que vem a seguir 4.7/5 estrelas

I've missed a few volumes, but it looks like we're still with the wizards, and their leader, only things have gotten more complicated and more dire. Now he's ruling over more than one group, has access to others, and needs to make a decision to save them. But he's very clearly biased heavily toward the wizards.
There's some backstory to what made him this way, as well as a few sweet moments between the main cast, and some truth reveals. Quite of bit of fighting and djinn stuff going on as well. And then we reach the end, with a group of members showing up, and clearly more is going to go down before this plot gets concluded.
If I were following this series more, I know this would be a lot more enjoyable. I'm having a hard time with this purely because I have no idea what's going on, and little idea of who any of the characters are. I should definitely read through the series, though.
A review copy was provided by the publisher, VIZ Media, for an honest review. Thank you so, so much!
The Kou Empire finally makes their appearance. Mogamett's history is finally revealed and the reason behind his hatred along with it. However because of his hatred a Dark Djinn appears and attacks everyone and everything. In order to get Koen to help in the fight Aladdin promises to tell him about the other world.
With a single enemy the other nations may finally unite for the cause but I am looking forward to see how long that will last.
I received this advanced copy from VIZ Media through Edelweiss in exchange for my honest review.
The giant battle continues and even more characters come in to play. I loved how human the story remains despite the massive amounts of things happening and craziness that ensues, but the art is suffering a bit from over crowding. There are panels that were just too complicated to guess at what was happening. The highly detailed art that is part of why I love this series sabotages some parts of this volume.
