This was one of the best in the series. The uniting of Kaleb and Anna was more perfect than I can explain. They both needed each other to be complete and gave each other the best parts when they had so more going on internally. Getting over loss and guilt together was the only way to make this relationship work and they grew together to make it happen. This book definitely deserves to be read more than once.

One thing I will always love about J.S. Scott's books is they are all standalone HEA endings.

Billionaire Unexplained is such a good love story.

I love the whole idea of two people having a gut feeling that they just needed to be somewhere at that time for an unknown reason that just happened to be convienent for them due to their on circumstances. Call it fate, call it destiny , call it need whatever you call it these two were meant to meet and be together.

Kaleb is such a good guy. I mean he has that typical billionaire workaholic thing going for him but I just love how much he loves his family and how he wants to protect everyone he loves.

Anna is a new type of heroine for this author. I mean all of the heroines in these books a strong women that overcome their own circumstances and find love and happiness, but this was a first for this author. I truly loved this character. I couldn't fathom going through what she is going through with how she is in the real world. It would be so difficult which is why when she chooses to just disappear in to the great Montana woods you understand why she shows up at Kaleb's cabin on that night. Maybe not exactly how she pictured her solitude but it works for these two.

I always enjoy how J.S Scott keeps you engaged in the story of the couple by throwing in a little Murder or kidnapping. I am always really interested if who I thought did it , did? This one was an easier of the mysteries to figure out but it was still truly entertaining to me.

The sexy times are on the light side for these two but they definitely had a lot of chemistry.

Ever since we got a sneak peek of him in J.S. Scott’s last book, I’ve been anxiously waiting for his story to be released. “Billionaire Unexplained” is a sweet, romantic and heartwarming billionaire romance that is a great start to the newest series of billionaires.

Kaleb Remington is a billionaire who has built an empire with his brothers in Montana. He’s happy with the life he has in Montana and loves being there. One day he hears someone breaking into his house to find a woman who is near freezing after being stranded during the snowstorm. Anna has come to Montant to escape some problems back home and just to take a breath. Thanks to the storm, Anna takes refuge with Kaleb in his cabin. The two grow close as they spend time together and a connection forms between them.

I loved Kaleb and Anna’s story so much. I loved him in J.S.’s last book when he was introduced and was excited that he was getting his own story. Kaleb is protective, caring and driven when it comes to his business and family. He’s close with his brothers and mom, which I adored about him. Anna is so sweet, genuine and someone I connected with right away. Her career is amazing and I loved that she was able to make something of herself by doing something she loves. Her reason for coming to Montant broke my heart but finding Kaleb is something she needed to be able to heal. They met in a chaotic way but their connection was instant from the start. They were attracted to each other from the start but they built their relationship first with a friendship and progressed naturally. They worked through the distance like adults and their communication was so great. I loved the ending and can’t wait for the next book.

Billionaire Unexplained-Kaleb is book 20 in the Billionaires Obsession series/Book 1 in the Montana Billionaires.

Kaleb Remington has decided he needs to escape to sort his head out after what happened to Shelby in Billionaire Unreachable (read this for Wyatt & Shelby's story).

He stays at the family cabin but ends up stuck there longer when a snow storm hits.  He meets Anna (popstar Annelise Kendrick) when she breaks in to get out of the storm she got stuck in after a wrong turn.

They end up having to spend a few days together. They become really close and tell each other all about themselves.

Kaleb asks her to come to his home at Crystal Fork to give herself more time to get her head together after the death of both of her parents. Even though they are attracted to each other Kaleb keeps them both in the friend zone until Anna makes it clear, she wants more, however, can they make things work when Anna has to return to California.

I love how sweet Kaleb and Anna are together. Kaleb was so protective of Anna without making her feel smothered.

A few things come to light regarding the death of Anna's parents and her finances.

From the moment his name was mentioned I knew who was behind everything.

Kaleb and Anna’s story was a wonderful start to a new series. These two are both in need of a break and end up stranded together in a cabin in Montana. Even though they are strangers, there is an instant connection and they come to trust each other. Initially they keep their identities a secret from one another but the closer their time together was ending it was all revealed. With all Kaleb now knows about Anna, his protective instinct skyrocketed and was able to convince Anna to come home with him. He wanted to give Anna more time to allow her to heal. It was so heartwarming to see Anna embraced by Kaleb’s family and all those in his community.

Their story is definitely a slow burn, but the chemistry between these two were felt throughout. Overall, I enjoyed their story very much. I absolutely loved Kaleb’s family so much and looking forward to more from the Remington boys.

This new series is off to such a great start! Kaleb and Anna’s story is sweet, romantic, and so heartwarming!

Kaleb is everything and more! He is protective, caring, strong, and determined. He will do anything for his family, those he cares about, and is an extremely determined businessman. Anna is so sweet, and I connected with her right away! Her reason for being in Montana had my heart breaking for her.

Anna and Kaleb need each other to heal from things in their pasts. I loved watching them be there for each other first as friends and then falling naturally into their happily ever after.

J.S. Scott’s Billionaire series are always very satisfying reads, and Kaleb’s was more of the same.

Kaleb and Anna are both kind of floundering in their personal life (professional is no big deal, hello, we’re talking billionaire here) when they meet. I love that their relationship started as friends and flourished and grew into more.

Kaleb is protective but not smothering, accepting Anna’s decisions. And Anna is so sweet and friendly, she doesn’t have the cynical edge I’d have expected of someone in her position.

I loved that there was a mystery but no major conflict between them, and that Billionaire Unexplained was basically just watching their relationship develop and grow.

I loved this story and will honestly say I figured out Anna’s profession long before she mentioned anything to Kaleb, but at 25% I also figured out who the person was behind all the drama in Anna’s life🤔 But I will say I enjoyed getting to know Anna and Kaleb more as well as Kaleb’s brothers, Devon and Tanner, and I’m looking forward to whoever’s story is next❣️

This is such a fantastic book and I was so invested from page one. Loved how Anna and Caleb met and how they tried not telling who they actually were. Loved how close they became once they opened up. But who will make the first move? They both didn’t want to risk their friendship. It’s such a heartwarming story and I loved his family. Caleb finds himself becoming very possessive and of course he’s very protective. Loved feeling their emotions and had some happy tears in their happy ever after. This book is worth re reading. I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy and I highly recommend this book.

And that’s a wrap on 20 books! I can’t believe I finished this series, for now. This is at least until the next book comes out in September. I have a long way to go until then. This was a good story to end on. We’ve stepped away from search and rescue with instances of kidnapping and moved on to just focusing on the build of a relationship. Comparing this to the other books, this one was more on the slower, quieter side. It was definitely more boring and not high risk like the others were. Once I realized this was the type of book, I didn’t know whether to feel relieved or disappointed. Turns out I was both. On the one hand, I wished we got a high risk situation that would happen, and for a moment there, I thought it would. On the other, I was glad the author made this book different and didn’t put Kaleb or Anna through that. Looking back now, it wouldn’t have made sense because Kaleb isn’t army experienced, or was in special forces. If the author decided to go down that road, no doubt she would have gotten the Montgomery’s involved and I feel she wanted to take a step back from that family and high risk theme. Overall, I wound up finishing the book with these thoughts and having mixed feelings resulting in a 4 rating for me. When I think about it more, I don’t believe Anna would have fared well with that situation. Being the high profile celebrity she is, her getting kidnapped would have caused more questions and total invasion of privacy for her and Kaleb. The author wanted this to be a low key story and Anna had already been dealing with a lot. I can see why she didn’t go the kidnapping route for her. How could you write a story with a high profile celebrity and include all the things she was going through. You probably wouldn’t get a recovery from her within 200+ pages. In a way, looking at this from a different perspective, the story was fine the way it was, even though it may be a little slower and not as eventful. The love story between Kaleb and Anna was kind of like friends to lovers, but was only forced because they had to spend time together during a storm. I do like stories like this because it helps us get to know the hero and heroine in a short period of time and doesn’t drag it out, had they been placed in a regular situation. I enjoyed reading about the growth of their relationship and how it grew from being wary of each other, to not getting enough of each other. This was what I enjoyed about this book, and I feel like the next one will focus more on this theme as it seems like Tanner and Lauren have known each other for a long time.

I loved this book. I mean, I love all of Ms. Scott's books. She just has a way of pulling you into a story and making you fall in love with the characters. Her characters are so real. Readers can see themselves. Kaleb Remington needs to get away. He just didn't realize he was getting away in the middle of a blizzard. He was content to be holed up in the family's log cabin alone until a stranger fell through the window. Annelise Kendrick needed some time away as well. She just got off a busy schedule from her very demanding job and needed to process everything going on. Her parents passed away six months ago and she was unable to deal with her feelings due to her hectic schedule. She finally has a little down time and plans to only tell one person where she is. She needs to get away from it all.

Kaleb feels very protective of Anna and invites her to come back to his home in Montana to decompress. She was not ready to go back to her life in Los Angeles. Kaleb is not ready to let her go. Despite his attraction to her, Kaleb keeps their interactions PG. He realizes that Anna needs the downtime to rejuvenate. While in Montana, Kaleb's family embraces Anna. She becomes one of the family quickly. They all see what Kaleb and Anna are running from. They are perfect for each other. There is one thing keeping them both from crossing that line. Geography will ruin a relationship before it even starts.

Can these two stay away? Will they let geography get in the way of how they feel? This is just a little summary of some of this book. There is so much more that you will have to read to believe. Ms. Scott nails it with this one. We do get to see a recent couple. Shelby is Kaleb's cousin. Readers will get a little glimpse of their relationship as well. I love seeing the couples again after their books. Those little moments continue to give readers hope.

Billionaire Unexplained ~ Kaleb is a very strong beginning for the Montana Billionaires series. We got to know Kaleb and his brother aka the future main characters. I loved all three of them and I will definitely keep an eye out for the other two books, especially when it's hinted we are going to get a friends-to-lovers romance, which is one of my favorite tropes. Anna and Kaleb's romance was good and I got invested in them. The suspense that was one of the main reasons our two lovebirds ended up meeting wasn't in the spotlight much and ended up being resolved faster and not as painfully as I expected. The small-town aspect of the book worked out very well. I would have loved to see more of Kaleb's mom because I felt like we were told more than shown Anna's connection to her. Which brings me to my biggest issue. Anna herself. As a long-time J.S. Scott reader I know what to expect from her heroes, but the heroines are another story. First of all, Anna almost literally trusted everyone in she saw and was able to open up about herself immediately upon seeing them. She always felt at ease with lots of people and it just seemed weird. Additionally, I didn't get the impression that she was someone who was famous and had the whole world on her feet. It was almost as if her career was downplayed even if many people were able to recognise her. Anna could have been written better, hence the removal of 1 star. One final note is the ptsd Kaleb had. He went to his cabin because of his guilt and that guilt was resolved off page and had it not being for a mention of it at the end of the book, I would have completely forgotten it. Despite all that, I was able to enjoy the book and it was mostly what I expect and want from J.S. Scott, so I would recommend the book!
