He’s done it again. Need the printed version of this ASAP to add to my coffee table books that currently include all of Shea’s other books.

Did it keep my interest? 4. There were a few movies I had not heard of, and therefore didn’t know the action hero
Did I enjoy the topic? 4.5. Ranking action heroes is something Bill Simmons has always done too. Love Bill Simmons, and love Shea Serrano too
Was the dialogue realistic? 4. Shea’s takes are just as outrageous as the action movies he references. So, the dialogue is ridiculously Shea
Would I recommend to Jen (smart, discerning reader)? 3.5. She’d love the Indiana Kobe’s, the RRR, and a few others. If she cherry picks she’d love it
Would I have recommended to my Mom (read for entertainment)? 3. Mom would loved John McLean of Die Hard, probably Rambo, not sure what else. Shea’s writing is a bit …. aggressive for Mom
Quality of narrator? #2! Second book read of the year.
(I was influenced by the crowd rating and gave this a 5 star. Shea sends emails threatening violence if you don’t buy his books, which is a funny bit, so I’ll play along and add a star)

I love action movies. I love scouting reports. This a Venn Diagram where I am smack dab in the middle.
A scouting report is where someone watches an athlete and puts together a report on them so a team is ready to play against them. What's their strength? What's their weakness? What are their habits? So when Shea decided to combine sports and movies here, he made magic.
This book helped me reminisce about some of my favorite action movies. Reading about Cameron Poe from Con Air and Neo from The Matrix made me smile so much. Shea does such a great job putting serious analytics to ridiculous subjects.
Unfortunately, Shea recently deleted this book from his website. He says the item has self-destructed. His commitment to a bit is a marvel to behold and it makes me respect him so much.

Hilarious fun from the always (okay, I did hate that Christmas poem) Shea Serrano. Since I’ve seen only 16 of the 27 movies, now I have more to add to my watch list!

Cómo todo lo que publica Shea Serrano, una maravillosidad.
Muy similar en tono a "Movies and Other Things", pero esta vez enfocado a los héroes de acción. Un repaso a muchos de los grandes héroes de acción, con el típico humor de Shea. Me ha hecho reír a carcajadas más de una vez. Es sensacional. Es el mexicano perfecto. Gracias, Shea.
