From New York Times and USA Today Bestselling Author Cynthia Brint:
Farra's life is in shambles. She's lost her parents, lost her job and she's about to lose her apartment. So when Grault, the sharp featured dark-eyed stranger who shows up on her doorstep in the middle of the night, informs her she just inherited a house from a grandmother she never knew, she thinks her prayers are answered.
Little does ordinary Farra know that her grandmother was a witch and her house was really a hotel for strange, ethereal creatures. Headstrong and practical, she dives in and runs the place her own way — much to the concern of Grault, who knows that secrets breed in the very shadows of the living, breathing house. With his own secrets to hide, can he protect this stubborn, beautiful, frustrating human that he's falling in love with?

Gargoyles and lake monsters and witches and ghosts and Bigfoot and space aliens (OK no space aliens or Bigfoot). I was not prepared for this book when I read the blurb. I will say that it was an unexpected pleasure to read – that feeling of being sucked into a new world just hidden from view was amazing.
Miss Blooms and Grault (and it really is cute that he refers to her as Miss while they’re busy falling in love – It was almost like “Howards’s End in the Phantom Zone” – made for a really sweet love story.
It wasn’t until after I finished this book that I realized that Cynthia Brint wrote “Until the Flood”, which was a werewolf book I really loved. So now I only have one more Brint book to read, so she better start writing more ASAP!

This was a very enjoyable read. The author has a way of taking the mundane and making it magical. She has created a world that was truly unexpected and mystical. Not only was this a really sweet paranormal love story it was also the journey of a young woman in finding her confidence and sense of self.
Having lost her job and being evicted from her apartment Farra was at her wits end. So when a gruff, pushy Grault shows up at her apartment in the wee hours of the morning demanding she get on a train to New Hampshire to go to her grandmothers house to take over the duties of caretaker. Farra goes, as she needs a place to stay and she figures if it doesn’t work out she can sell the house and move on. That is until she sees the house, meets the guests, and starts to fall for Grault.
Will the house accept her? Can she live up to her grandmothers expectations? Is Grault interested in her? Can she save everyone from the lake monster? Guess you are going to have to read the book to find out. This book will keep you turning the pages to find out what happens next. Definitely worth the read!

I thought this was a very interesting and easy read. I haven't read anything from this author before but I will have to try some more. There were some very interesting supernatural creatures in this story, and I liked that they were a part of this story but that the author didn't go too into all the details of them. They were there enough and you were given enough description to know who they are and how they played a part in the story without you losing focus on your main characters. Overall it was an enjoyable and interesting read. If you like paranormal romance this would be a good one to try out!
I've read heaps off books so far at I know I say how awesome a book is and it makes my top 5 list yada yada. Well this book really really touched me and drew me in I didn't ever want it to end this book is no 1 for 2013 on my list of favorites. It's heartwarming mystical and keeps you guessing you are a fly on the wall drawn to all of them and their stories it's like you are right there beside her the entire time. Brilliantly written with a storyline that flows and is addictive. Add it to your TBR list today an one click once it's out
This book was really cute! I LOVED how original it was. It even threw me for a few loops which isn't easy! It's a great easy read especially if your favorite genre is paranormal NA! Give it a try! Great book for a great price!
I won this book in a goodreads first reads giveaway, and I went into it completely blind. I didn't even read the blurb on the back. At first I didn't really like the writing style of this book, but I kind've grew to love it. I think this is the kind of book that you just have to read all in one or 2 sittings or else its just not near as good. The book is a little slow to start but after you get reading its amazing! From the beggining I could tell that there was going to be a romance between Grault and Farra, and I thought it was going to be really forced. After reading it though I didn't think it was at all. The only reason that this book didn't get a perfect five stars it the awkward sex scenes. I really don't like sex scenes at all, but I don't mind them when they're done tastefully. Sadly these were not. I would've liked the book so much more if they were taken out. I would recommend this book if you like anything to do with paranormal romance!
This book reads like a Studio Ghibli Film. It’s gorgeous in its simplicity at times but also has an added depth. The overall story is both beautiful and heartbreaking. The side characters are vibrant and interesting, and the budding romance between Farra & Grault is extremely touching. Especially when viewed in Parallel to the heart wrenching fear and loss played out in her grandmother’s own tragic love story. I can honestly say this is one of my favorite books ever. I sincerely wish, that I could thank Cynthia Brint, for writing it.
