Les Ailes du Québec were a baseball team made up of the top 18 players under 17 from the province. This Baseball Québec excellence program existed from 1999 to 2015 before changing format. For the majority of its existence, the team was formed in April and the highlight of each edition was the Canadian championship in August, commonly known as the Baseball Canada Cup. Québec won the gold medal four times during these years and the 2003 championship was a very special one. This book aims to be a detailed summary of that season, bringing together more than 45 testimonials from those who participated in or were close to this excellent team. The origins of the program, the decisions surrounding the selection of the team, biographies of each player and coach, and a summary of the season including the Canada Cup highlights will be discussed.
