This is novella of approximately 28,500 words. ***************************************************************** Can best friends ever become lovers?
Radio talk show host, Eve Kingston, would have said her neighbor down the street was one of her best friends in the world. But when Sam kisses her under the mistletoe on a dare from her daughter, her body comes out of widow hibernation. Now Sam says he wants to sleep with her. Eve thinks maybe she wants to see Sam dancing naked in a Santa hat. Madness has obviously taken over both of them.
Will either of them get their crazy wish for Christmas?
I am an active dreamer and find writing to be the best way to use my creativity. Needing to satisfy both sides of my brain, I have become a cross-genre author of contemporary, romantic comedy, fantasy, science fiction, and paranormal romances.
I feel blessed that my books appear on bestseller lists for humor, romantic comedy, space opera, and more. I crave laughter from all my readers and focus my attention on making that happen as often as possible.
I love to hear from anyone who has read my books. Each reader is a hero or heroine to me. I am inspired by you.
For widows and singles of a certain age this tale is hopeful and encouraging and delightful. The fact that Eve and Sam have a decade of history makes the new relationship all the sweeter, and their story a perfect holiday read.
Simply Electrifying! I thought I was a bit crazy reading a Christmas story at this time of the year (it’s almost Easter), but I’m so happy that I did. Mistletoe Madness is such a lovely book – it reads very easily and fast and had me chuckling at Eve’s and Sam’s wicked senses of humour. Their attraction, once awoken, is simply electrifying!
Update 25/12/2025: I just listened to an audio book version and it was even better than reading it was the first time around. I enjoyed this even more!
I really wish goodreads allowed for half stars. This short story is a friends-to-lovers tale about neighbors, both widowed within the last few years, who move from being friends to more. I wish the story had been longer, it felt a bit rushed to me. The emotions and situations felt real, though. I enjoyed it very much, particularly because there were no evil exes and both protagonist were older. I recommend this to anybody looking for a short, sweet holiday read.
A SWEET SEXXY ROMANTIC SHORT STORY. SAM & EVE TRULY WERE MEAN'T TO BE, ONLY IF EVE COULD BE CONVINCED. I ENJOYED THE READ IT WAS VERY FUNNY AT TIMES. I FOUND IT HILARIOUS WHEN THEIR CHILDREN DID THE ROLE REVERSAL THING, AS A PARENT OF GROWN CHILDREN I KNOW HOW THAT FEELS. THEY LET YA' KNOW JUST HOW GOOD A JOB YOU DID WHILE THEY WERE GROWING UP. MAKES ME WONDER "WAS I REALLY THAT STRICT"? THE ANSWER I ALWAYS GET IS A VERY LOUD, "OH YEAH"!!! ;>
Eve and Sam were characters I adored. After both lose spouses under tragic circumstances, their friendship strengthens. But with a little Christmas magic, things deepen with a kiss under the mistletoe. I loved seeing their relationship change and grow. These two were great together, and Sam was such a great guy. Another great read by Mrs. McDonald. Can't wait for the next.
Eve and Sam both suffered the loss of a spouse. They have been friends for years but a moment of magic under the mistletoe changes everything for them.
I loved this feel good Christmas romance. It is exactly what I expect from this title and author, A great story mixed with humor and a story that leaves you feeling all warm and content.
Donna's books always make me smile and this one was no exception. Loved this cute Christmas romance. I love that Donna brings romance to life for the older generation that many people think don't have romance or sex anymore Keep writing these great stories
