There is nothing quite like reading soft, romantic poetry about someone who loves their significant other very much, so much that it pours out of them in the only way they know how to release, in beautiful poems that detail all the myriad of emotions experienced in a relationship. I enjoyed this book of poetry. Quick, sweet, and a delight to read. While not earth shattering, it contained many loving poems that lots of people will find relatable.
This is my first poetry book. It was easy to read for me and I loved how it was split into sections of when he wrote them. You can tell he loves her very much.
This was cute! At some moments a little corny but mostly genuinely endearing and adoring. I don’t normally read poetry, read this when I was staying at my friend Caroline’s house and had nothing to read.
My favorite poem was:
When your around I don’t mind the rain, The traffic, Or the noisy neighbors. Even weeds look like flowers And sunshine fills my heart.
I really enjoyed this collection of poems. I am a sucker for poetry about love to begin with, but I absolutely love reading love poems written by a man. There is something so incredibly sweet and attractive to read about a man’s love and desire for someone he loves.
My favorite quote:
“My boss asked all of us Whether we had a nice weekend. Ten of us sat around a big table, Everyone nodded, One lady smiled. I was the only guy who blushed.”
I find this to be such a lovely quote. It’s so refreshing and addictive to read about a man still loving and finding his partner so desirable.
I've read so much poetry in my life and wrote so much of my own that this one was good but not phenomenal. I wish there was more hidden meaning, deeper thoughts. But overall a sweet lovey book for Valentine's month
Was a cute lil read. Bit repetitive. Thought the chapters would differentiate the poems, but I found if you removed them it wouldn’t have made a difference.
Me and my best friend got each other poetry books to annotate for each other. I chose this one. I loved reading all the poems they were easy to annotate and I could relate to them xx
