Laurel Brook is not sick.

Sure, she just fell into a shelf of Noodle-Os at the grocery store and startled the unsuspecting patrons, but she’s definitely not sick. The problem is, the hot doctor who just caught her in his arms after she lost her balance? He doesn’t agree.

Dr. Lachlan Cade can tell Laurel needs help, and even if it means bending the rules, he’s going to give it. Laurel is just as determined never to rely on a man again, but that’s a hard vow to keep when Lachlan’s touch makes her tachycardic and his soothing promises feel like warm honey on her tongue. Despite her misgivings, Laurel finds herself in a predicament with only two choices--go with Dr. Cade to his house for treatment, or rack up a medical bill in the hospital she can't afford.

As Laurel reluctantly learns to accept help and heal, a mysterious threat ends up in Lachlan's inbox, and he has a sinking feeling it has something to do with the reason Laurel refuses to trust in the first place. Suddenly, he isn't just worried about hanging onto the hilarious but sexy patient who tumbled into his arms. He's worried Laurel's wounds run dangerously deep, and if they can't trust each other, they'll both end up scarred.

I liked the concept of this book (because what’s not to like about a hot doctor/single mom trope?) but I didn’t love the actual story.

2.75 ⭐️s (rounded to 3 for goodreads)
2 🌶️

Laurel is a single mom dealing with a lot of shitty circumstances. Her ex husband fucked her over with a shitty divorce and while he’s off with his new wife, she’s struggling to take care of their daughter, Calla. She’s a great mom but she’s exhausted because she’s barely sleeping due to night terrors brought on by an encounter with her ex.

Enter Dr. Lachlan Cade. Lachlan is into Laurel from the first moment he sees her - when she brought Calla into the ER due to a head wound. He has this natural instinct to protect her from the get go. He decides to enact this instinct when a day later, he sees her at the grocery store & she’s very very sick. He wants to take care of her but in an attempt to also keep her close, he tells her that her only options are either, 1. Go to the ER, or 2. Go to his house (an almost total stranger), so he can doctor her back to health. She chooses option #2, obviously 😜

What I liked about this story -
1. Calla, she was adorable and her little one liners had me laughing
2. Laurel being a badass mom doing her absolute best under her circumstances
3. Lachlan showing Laurel that he wants to help shoulder some of her burdens and then actually being there for her
4. The revenge on the ex husband

What I didn’t like about this story -
1. Lachlan’s constant condescending remarks about Laurel being like a child. He basically made it seem like she couldn’t take care of herself. Meanwhile, she’s been responsible for a whole ass human being for many years & was doing it just fine (albeit tiredly) until Lachlan came along.
2. Lachlan on several occasions calling Laurel “cute”. Cute is what you call your dog, or your 5 year old niece/nephew. That is not a repeated descriptor to use for the woman you want to fuck. And I know as a woman, I would not love being told I’m cute all the time.
3. While Laurel was a great mother, when Lachlan was involved, she seemed to forget to parent. When he first gave her the ultimatum to go to his house for treatment, there was nary a thought for her daughter’s care when making the decision.

All in all, it was a quick read and the story did keep me invested. Will I continue reading the series? Yep! I like the author’s writing and am intrigued to read Amos’ story.

This book took me a day to absolutely devour- and that’s only because I had to do things like work and sleep. Otherwise I would have finished it in one sitting!
I absolutely adored Laurel- as a mom who feels like I’m never doing anything right and I’m constantly drowning in my adult responsibilities, I really connected with her and felt for her throughout the book.
And don’t even get me started on Lachlan. I love a cinnamon roll, golden retriever of an MMC- maybe that’s why I married one myself? 😅
Anyway, just go read this book. Love RX is a quick, spicy rom com that I cannot recommend enough! ❤️

*cough* *cough* I think I need a doctor!!
In all seriousness, this was a really good book.

Walking down the aisles of a bookstore, I am almost certain I wouldn't have picked this book up. This style of cover is not what normally pulls my attention, but this author is why I chose to read this book. At first glance, you would think this is just a cute and fluffy rom-com, but there is much more hidden beyond the words. Yes, there are plenty of laughable moments, but what I found most refreshing is the fact that this book is super relatable to the reader. It also has very well placed passion and spice which was a lovely touch.

Hidden behind a stone mask is a single mom struggling, financially, physically, and mentally. I am not a mother, but Laurel's (FMC) story and her past is something that most have experienced or are experiencing in real life. The masks we wear daily hide what is really going on behind closed doors.
Lachlan (MMC) is the doctor that most, if not all have fantasized about. He is captivating, smart, and isn't afraid to express what he wants. However, his mannerisms and his level of care aren't just something we have to dream about, there is a possibility for us to find a person like him in the real world. You might not be able to get bent over an exam table, but there are other options just as fitting.

No matter what she is writing, Devon Atwood always manages to bring a breath of fresh air to her stories and characters. This is the fourth book of hers that I have read this year and I will continue to read her stories as she writes them. There is just something about the way she writes that makes the stories feel whole and complete.
Love RX is just the start of the Love and Other Jobs series, so I can't wait to see who she writes about next. I dare you to step out of your normal comfort zone and give this book a chance.

Despite the fact that she really shouldn’t have been in these mature situations with our handsome doctor while having a 102° fever, this was a really cute story. I love the easy banter and how the daughter was such a big role within their lives. I find that in most books kids are just an afterthought that pop in and out not in this one it felt more real.

Stop it. This book was so good that words can’t even describe it. I want to start by thanking the author for sending me an ARC copy of this book, and also for writing such a good story. This will have you wrapped up in every page, and ready for more by the end of it. A spicy, forbidden love, single mom, and steamy Dr romance. I loved the dual point of view, and I absolutely loved the way the story moved.

Single mom, who has an accident prone child, takes her daughter to get stitches and meets a dreamt doctor, who is literal perfection. She ends up super sick, and runs into him at a grocery store while she is in horrible shape and about to pass out. Talk about right place, right time.

Lachlan Cade, the dreamy doctor, was honestly perfection written into a novel. I have no words to explain how much I loved him or all the whys. He thinks of everything, and has undeniable loyalty to the ones he loves. His love for Laurel and Calla was heartwarming and so sweet.

Laurel was also such a well written character and her daughter Calla was so cute and adorable. She is such a strong character who has been through the worst, but tried to make the best out of it.

The plot was well written as well, my only issue with it was the beginning, only because it was pretty far fetched, but let’s be honest, most romance novels are. The smut and the spice were both perfect, and honestly had just the right amount to not be too much, but not too little either. I loved every minute of this book.

This is definitely one of those books you can’t put down, and you fall in love with every single page, and every single word said.

I can’t wait to read the next one, and I’m very excited for Brady’s story, thank you again to the author for sending me this amazing and beautiful story.

it was okay, but the author's pacing and detailwork were off.

inside of a few hours of meeting, the hero is obsessed (based on seeing her blue eyes and some very surface-level chat in urgent care), and inside of two days they're playing house for days at a time. then, we basically never see her go to work ever again, and he rarely does, even though it's evidently a small town with very few doctors AND he evidently does both neurosurgery AND urgent care pediatrics AND is a world-class research talent on the cusp of a major publication. they just magically stay at his house and have sex times (and a lot of it while she's dangerously ill). and her daughter appears in and out of the story depending on whether or not the author wanted them to have Mommy Daddy time. then there was a barely there side plot with a weird illegal crime-solving group, which felt tonally very odd (was it maybe part of a different book in the series the author couldn't let go of?). then the author really didn't work hard enough to make the only-one-bed thing feel natural; rather, it felt unwise (she's so sick!) and predatory (she's literally known him a few hours and he insists on sleeping in the same bed; "come on, laurel. i'm not going to assault you." well, i mean, laurel doesn't actually know that, my guy, so maybe slow your roll). just . . . a lot of all-over-the-place-ness that took me out of the story again and again and often weakened the characters' likability.

this is more a me thing than an objective problem with the book, but the heroine was very immature; she didn't know what lentils were and ate like a toddler. as for the hero, i had a big gripe with him: he was smitten with the heroine and thus intensely stressed about her personal problems, but he responded by shaming her for having said problems, even when they were very much not her fault; and then he would come back and tell her not to feel bad about being in such tough circumstances, yet he certainly tsked enough for her to feel bad about it.

the voice actors' dual narration was fine. but i notice that the end of the book was VERY heavy on his p.o.v.; i think the heroine's p.o.v. was dropped out quite a ways before the end, which felt a bit unbalanced.

This is a cute steamy romance book!

Laurel is a single mom to a daughter Calla. She just moved to a small town and gets a call from the daycare that her daughter hurt herself. Laurel is not worried as her daughter is super accident prone and is always getting hurt somehow, but upon arrival she realizes she needs stitches on her forehead. At the ER, Calla is seen by a Dr Cade. Dr Cade and Laurel cannot take their eyes off each other and the Dr even has to mentally chastise himself to pay attention to the stitches! They both personally agree not to even cross paths again as they don’t have time to get involved with someone at the moment.

We’ll soon after Laurel is super sick and runs to the store while her mom is watching her daughter, but while there she basically passes out due to the illness right into Dr Cade’s, Lachlan’s, arms. Since she is tight in money, he takes her to his house to heal while he can watch her and make sure she takes her medication. After a few days, one thing leads to another and they become romantically involved.

In the book Laurel is dealing with some serious mental issues from her ex husband and Lachlan has to have a lot of patience to work with her through everything.

I’m a former nurse, so I love myself a good medical romance. Love RX was a fantastic medical romance! Hot doctor? Check! A bossy, cinnamon roll doctor? Again check! Add in a sick single mom and watch the sparks fly! I actually read this twice. Once on KU and again with the physical copy of the book.

Laurel Brook is a single mom who has an “assidert” prone 5 year old daughter Calla. When Calla falls, Laurel has to take her to get stitches. Insert sexy doctor Lachlan Cade, who not only fixes Calla’s head, he sparks interest in Laurel. Laurel has had a awful divorce with a husband who has treated her badly, making her gun shy. But when she is so sick that she about wipes out a display of instant noodles, she ends up in Lachlan’s arms. Since she doesn’t have insurance, he treats her himself and insists that she stay with him.

Laurel is reluctant to let anyone in thanks to her ex husband who is just a jerk. Lachlan does his best to get her to trust him and the two of them navigate a relationship while she heals emotionally and physically. You’ll never think of playing doctor the same way again.

I totally loved this book. The characters were funny and interesting. It definitely checked the doctor fantasy box! They have some hurdles to overcome but it was just a fun, and definitely smexy read! I’m onto the next book and I’m eagerly looking forward to the rest of this series!

I don’t read contemporary romance.

I decided to give this book a chance and I am so glad I did. Lachlan is this sweet, tough, caring human. Laurel is a sweet, kind, wonderful human who is broken by the things in her past… the way they balance each other out is perfect.

I loved every freaking second of this book. 100% recommend.

Considering how long it took me to get through the first half of this book…. Kind of explains my opinion on it… honestly couldn’t stay engaged for the first half of the book but the back half was enjoyable and I was able to finish in 2 days.
Not my fav but not horrible… probably wouldn’t recommend to others though :(

Absolutely loved this small town romance. Lachlan Cade is a stunningly gorgeous neurologist and Laurel Brook is a sweet, single mom with a lot of baggage. The love story was so incredibly sweet and the spice, I didn’t expect the spice, but it was amazing!! Loved the plot. Love these characters. Really enjoyed this book.

I lovedddd how the book started out; loved the chemistry between the characters, it had so much potential and their feelings for each other were well written but my only problem was how rushed it felt 😭 the book’s length itself is amazing but they fell in love that deeply in a few days ?! Maybe if it was more spaced out I would’ve felt more enthralled in the story! Nevertheless, I loved this book a lot, and I would have loved for the author to explore more of the characters in the book it would’ve added lovely depth ! 💗

‘The universe had dumped her in my lap, but I'd been the one to pull her closer.’

LAWRD. That was fun. I read this within a 24 hour period. Could not put it down! Also I was sick while I was reading this which seemed appropriate.

I LOVE this author. I will read anything she writes. This book was laugh out loud funny, swoony, SPICYYY, plucked at the heart strings, relatable, and made me wanna punch a certain someone’s face.. *AHEM* ..Jason.

____
‘My phone made a fart sound. There was only one human I had given a fart ringtone to, and I pulled it out of the pocket of my sweatpants with hollow dread. Jason:’
_____

I loved these characters. Our FMC was so relatable and stubborn, I could definitely be her friend. And our doc MMC was 🥵 every girls fantasy? Definitely got that golden retriever cinnamon roll energy with a kick of spice. These two together was ❤️‍🔥.

The only thing I could not relate to was the beginning part of being deathly ill but still having hornball energy. I consider myself an expert at getting sick (multiple hospital stays.. yay me) and I was never in the mood whilst going through the ailments of sickery. 😅 after I was sick and feeling better? Hell yea. Just not during. But hey! Fiction *insert jazz hands*

But what the author does right in this story is the nursing back to health trope. As a mom I related so hard. This made me YEARN for a Dr. Cade to take care of me. We always take care of everyone else, so it’s nice (more than nice, just can’t think of right word here) when we get to see the man (or anyone) step up and WANT to nurture and care and bring us back to health. Yoo-hoo FANTASY! 🥲

Read this book yall. Sooooo good. Read it.

I’ve been on a ‘medical/doctor’ kick recently and was very excited to find this.

Unfortunately, I really struggled to get through this for several reasons:

1) The whole story and relationship felt unrealistic to me. This amazingly hot neurosurgeon instalove falls for the single mom, puts his entire medical degree at risk for gross malpractice within hours of meeting her. Then is giving her his car the next day. I just didn’t buy it.

2) Said doctor keeps KISSING THE SICK/CONTAGIOUS FMC! Ugh, one page he’s telling us about the extreme bacterial infection in her mouth and the next second he’s kissing her!

3) So many inconsistencies.

4) The FMC (Laurel) is a 24-year-old single mom but I swear her 5 year old is more adult than she is. See below example from the text:

Laurel threw a gigantic bag of marshmallows into her cart.

I eyed it suspiciously. “What are you doing with those?”

“I’m going to eat them,” she said, as if it were obvious. “With peanut butter. Usually, I dip them right in the jar and eat until I feel like I’m going to throw up.”

I won’t be reading any other books in this series.

What starts as a sweet Hallmark-ish story leaves me wanting to find a better primary care physician. Say it with me, "Hallmark does not do what Dr. Cade does" and we love Dr. Cade for it.

Ever dream of your sexy doctor taking you into his own home to monitor you, give you free health care (and orgasms)? Look no further than this spicy, yet still incredibly sweet, book.

this is a 4.5 for me. This was so cute and had me giggling all throughout it. My husband even stopped to ask me what the book was all about bc he was so curious what had me giggling so much.
I loved the two main characters so much. You have laurel who is really just doing her best trying to do everything right when nothing seems to go right. My heart really broke for her at times for what she has and what she was going through. It just never seemed like she could catch a break... that is until Lachlan (DR. Cade) walked into the exam room. I loved how fast he was willing to step in and be the support that Laurel needed because she just desperately needed someone on her side for once there to support her and Lachlan was more than happy be there for her. He was just a standup guy and Dr that we should all hope to have someone like that in our life.
This was a fun story with an enjoyable plot and great characters and some really nice spicy scenes as well. excited to read more of Devon's work especially in this series/universe.

This book is about Laurel a single mom who is just trying to do her best but can just never seem to catch a break. That is until she has to take a trip to the ER due to an accident her accident-prone daughter had when in walked in a handsome kind doctor who had her temperature rising. At least that's what she thought was the cause of her fever until she realizes it something more. She starts to come down with a really strong illness that leads her to almost passing out in the store on an errand for medication. But who is there to catch her but DR. Cade who has decided the best course of treatment is to take her home and to take care of her because he doesn't want anything to happen to her and wants to keep as close of an eye on this adorable creature. What could go wrong???

Let me tell you from the beginning of this book I was literally hooked. The characters in this book oh my gosh I just couldn’t get enough of them. So this is a second chance romance. Laurel whom is a single mother of a 5 year old daughter. Calla gets hurt at daycare and she has to be taken to the hospital. This is a small town so basically everyone knows everyone. Well laurel meets the hot dr in the er. Dr Cade is gorgeous but hasn’t found the right person until he met Laurel. Now mind you she freaks out about money, insurance and other stuff she don’t have. Her ex left her nothing and is a jerk. Well laurel starts feeling sick well for 2 days she was getting worst and ran out of medication so she calls her mother to come watch calla, in the meantime she’s running a high temp and is acting right. While at the store she runs into the hot dr. So Laurel was about to pass out in the store because she’s just so sick and the doctor realize that something was wrong and he could see like in her eyes. Her eyes are bloodshot, but anyways he ends up taking her to a clinic because she freaks out and says she doesn’t have the money for anything so he takes her to his clinic and treats her and come to find out. She has strep throat so bad that it’s affecting other things and not only that she hast to be on IV fluids and he told her if it didn’t work that he was gonna have to take her to the ER and she panic so Dr. Cade decided to bring her to his house And take care of her there. Once she gets to his house one thing leads to another. This book was fantastic. I highly recommend it to everyone.

This novel is a 5-star masterpiece for its amazing banter and spicy scenes! From the moment Laurel's grocery store mishap introduces her to the irresistible Dr. Lachlan Cade, the story takes off on a rollercoaster of laughter and sizzling chemistry.

The banter between Laurel and Lachlan is nothing short of brilliant. The author has a knack for crafting dialogue that keeps you hooked, alternating between humor and intense exchanges. Laurel's reluctance to accept help and Lachlan's determination to care for her create a dynamic that is both heartwarming and entertaining.

The spicy scenes in this novel are tastefully written, adding an extra layer of excitement to the narrative. The chemistry between the characters is palpable, and the author skillfully weaves together moments of passion and vulnerability.

As the plot unfolds, the mysterious threat lurking in Lachlan's inbox adds a thrilling twist to the story. The suspense keeps you on the edge of your seat, wondering how it connects to Laurel's past and the reasons behind her trust issues. The narrative skillfully blends romance, humor, and suspense, making it a captivating read from start to finish.

Sure, Laurel might have fallen into a shelf of Noodle-Os, but what follows is a tale of healing, trust, and love. This book is a delightful journey that will leave you with a smile on your face and a desire for more. Highly recommended for anyone who loves a perfect blend of humor, romance, and a touch of mystery

📚Cinnamon MMC
📚Doctor/Patient
📚Single Mom
📚Small-town

I flew through this story. It is an adorable, spicy rom-com that hits all the right notes. I loved the chemistry between the two main characters, Laurel and Lachlan, and the way Lachlan was with Laurel’s daughter- swoon!

As a mom, I found Laurel to be extremely relatable. The doubt she has about herself as a mother is something anyone with a child will understand. Laurel doesn’t have health insurance and doesn’t have much left in the bank to take herself to the doctor when she gets sick- I’ve been there. Stressing about money and doctor’s bills has been about fifty percent of my parenting experience. To see that reflected in a story is helpful in not feeling so alone.

And the side plot involving her ex-husband and their custody agreement was on point! Again, money. The lack of it can really make you feel helpless and stuck, so it was satisfying to see everything fall into place at the end.

This is my first book by this author, which is a shame, because I’ve been following them on another social media site for a while. Just haven’t gotten to their books in my TBR yet. But I’m in love with their writing style and cannot wait to read more. I also can’t wait for the next book in this series!

Thank you to the author for allowing me to read the ARC, I enjoyed every minute of it!

This was my first introduction to this authors work, and I'll say I really enjoyed this story!
This story follows: Laurel is a single mom who recently moved to a small town in Idaho after leaving her abusive ex baby daddy. Lachlan is a neurosurgeon and researcher who recently moved back to Monpelier, Idaho, to be closer to his brother Remington.

Laurel and Lachlands chemistry is perfection in its ebb and flow. His brother Remington is a perfect side character. And Jason - the EX is a PIA, enough to make us hate him, but not too much where you don't want to read.

Dont let the cartoon cover fool you, theres some great spicy scenes here.... (hello doctor fantasy anyone?) This is a very character driven dual POV storyline. It's definitely got some rom-com flair, but it also has a hint of suspense sprinkled in there, too. It was an easy and fun book to rwad.

I would have liked more indications on time line through out the story, though. Is the whole story supposed to take place over 2 weeks? That's what I think, but I don't know? Also. I would have loved definite closure on Jason's part in the story.

Overall, if you like these tropes, you will enjoy this story:
🩷Single mom
🩷Dr/patient
🩷Small Town
🩷Jealous Ex/ Blackmail
🩷Forced Proximity
🩷He takes care of her
🩷Doctor fantasies

I didn't enjoy this one as much as the previous one I read from this author. It was still pretty good, I mean, it was cute.
I liked our male protagonist in Lachlan more then I liked Laurel. But I've never been the hugest of fans of female characters that are super "helpless". And I feel like Laurel was more helpless than necessary. She was fairly immature as well, which I understand she is young, but it was still slightly grating on my nerves. She had stuck her head in the sand pretty significantly regarding her situations in life for her and her daughter, and then it annoyed me even more when she only looked for change when prompted by a man. She should have done it sooner for herself and her daughter honestly.
Their story was cute. I liked the doctor-patient dynamic and thought it was good. I thought it was semi-unrealistic that they started getting it on while she was super sick.
I liked how Lachlan always wanted to take care of her. I think I would have liked it even more had she been a little more self-sufficient on the day to day as an adult, but *shrugs*.
Another Devon Atwood that was at least worth reading if you want to be able to get through something quick. Your characters do everything fast in these; they meet, fall in love, have a climactic event, get it resolved, and have a happily ever after. All of it in the fairly short books and feels very complete. I would pick up more of hers when I'm needing something quick to burn through and have a little fun with.

Oh my.. the amount of belly laughs, swoons, and many more rollercoaster of emotions this book provoked. This novel was phenomenal.

Laurel is a divorced mom who is trying her best to start over and support her little family, but life likes to throw some curveballs, which leads her to meet Dr. Lachlan Cade. Lachlan is a caring but kind of a loner bachelor who moved to be with his family to a small town. I absolutely loved that fate had other ideas in this novel and led to more of them interacting. The banter between the two had me laughing, and the spicy moments and scenes full of tension had me on the end of my seat. The sweet little one had me wishing I knew her.

This novel is well written and captivates readers from the first chapter. At first glance, you might expect a cute, sweet romcom, but it goes so much deeper. You see the hardships a single mom and recent divorcee faces. You also get to see a hard-working man who has a tough family history and a little lonely. I love the relationship and the willingness to care for one another and the amount of patience and understanding shown. I'm sad we won't see much more of these characters starring, but I can't wait to see some of the others that we got to meet briefly!

This is my first read from Devon but it was so sweet with perfect amount of spice.

Laurel and her daughter are starting fresh in a small town after she ended her previous marriage with her asshat ex-husband. And as you would guess it. Even though he didn't want her anymore he still wants to have a tight leash around her neck. Man that just makes me so mad. Anyways Laurel moves to a different town with the plans on starting fresh. Struggling with trying to juggle motherhood and being a single working parent trying to support her kiddo bad luck strikes when her kiddo gets hurt at school and she needs to take her in to get stitches. Enter Mr. Sexy Doctor meet your pants with a look! The chemistry was palpable in the exam room but Laurel gets her hormones under control once her daughter is taking care of.

Love Rx by Devon Atwood is part of the Love and Other Jobs Series. I’m in love with this book and with the way this author writes. This was such a fantastic read and I enjoyed every second! I read this book cover to cover never once even wanting to put my kindle down. The way everything in the book was described made it easy to imagine what you were reading. The plot and pace of the book was fabulous that kept my attention to the very last line. Even when it ended I still wanted more because I felt everything in the book. The laughter, the struggles, the chaos… everything. Plus the spice was so incredibly well done. The characters of Laurel and Lachlan were amazingly written, they felt so realistic. I loved the dynamics between the two and the balance they brought to one another. The way he was attentive and protective over her just made me swoon. Laurel’s story made my heart just crack in a few places; I really connected with her character on such an emotional level. It was great reading that Lachlan was trying to help her truly see herself. This book was a phenomenal read! Devon Atwood is an amazing writer and I can’t wait to read more!

Laurel and Lachlan

Laurel moved to a small Idaho town to escape her ex husband’s overbearing control, only to literally stumble into Dr McDreamy at the grocery store.

Lachlan is the town “hot doctor” And after treating Laurel’s daughter in the ER, became slightly obsessed with the mother. Then seeing her sick as a dog in the grocery store, decided to take her to his house for treatment vs taking her to the ER that she couldn’t afford.

Their attraction is hot from the beginning and continues to burn the entire book.

Laurel’s ex pulls some threats to turn her pitiful life upside down even more by ruining Lachlan’s research.

Together they fight the ex and become a happily ever after.

Bonus win: NO EPILOGUE! I mean, the last chapter kind of was one, but it wasn’t one of those super convenient endings where everything is roses and sunshine.

I loved the story and enjoyed the characters. Laurel seems like and idiot a lot of the time, but I also act the same way sometimes. Self reflection to come 😂

Lachlan is kind and caring, overbearing but protective while also giving Laur her space to figure herself out.

Love RX was so much more than I expected and everything I needed. This story stole my heart immediately and I think will always have a part of my heart forever.

While my experiences are not the exact same as Laurel, what she felt, how she struggled felt so real and I right there with her. Her story reminded me of my own and helped heal a part of me that I didn’t realize needed to be healed. Laurel’s strength and vulnerability was beautiful and I loved how Lachlan supported her and helped her but SHE HEALED HERSELF.

Lachlan. Frick. Dude. He was absolute perfection. He was the ultimate perfect book boyfriend. He was strong, supportive, fun, pushed her to be better, helped her love herself. Was sexy and sweet. I can’t say enough of what reading Lachlan did for my single mama heart. I can only hope to find a man half the man Lachlan is.

This entire story was filled with love, humor, growth and beautiful sense of self. The love made them better, made them save themselves. This is a story I can tell I’ll want to read again and again to smooth over the broken parts of my heart.

Absolutely recommend this amazing book.
