Sometimes Getting Your Hearts Desires Aren't What They Should Be.
J. Charnise. I was so hurt by this read. I enjoyed it though just wish it would've ended differently. Detective Hue was a snake, he really didn't get his karma. I am glad Nicole and Lucky got to experience true love. I pray Tati gets to live a peaceful life. I wasn't surprised by Freddy's reveal. I wish it would've been known earlier though. Good read🤗🤗🤗🤗

Ok read
This was a well written story. Once I started reading I didn't stop until it ended. Lucky, Lucky, Lucky was the true definition of a savage and he didn't play about Nicole either. Lucky and Nicole together was something else. Nicole came in the clutch and saved Lucky and Sadiq life. Lucky and Sadiq father was irking my nerves but Nicole parents was the one that made my ssa ache, her daddy wasn't sh*t & her mom was a weak woman going with every evil thing her husband did to their daughter. I wasn't expecting that about Ryan and Mike fruity peebles ssa. So Nicole is actually her uncle Freddy daughter not Franky, I didn't see that twist coming. I really didn't like the ending, I felt it was missing something!

My mouth is on the floor in shock
This series had me hooked from beginning to end. Nicole definitely had two sides to her that any female can relate to. Lucky grew on me but at first I was giving him the side eye. Book 2 brings it with the secrets that are exposed back to back. Kudos to the author for this amazing series

10⭐ a must read!!
Omg!! I did bit see that coming at all. But baybee I loved every bit of it. Lucky, Nicole and Sadiq went out blazing. Wow.. that dad was ruthless with a badge. Poor Tati has to live without her friend and her man and raise his baby. This was one heck of good read..

wow I wasn’t expecting that
Damn I had to shed a tear for lucky ,Nicole and Sadiq. They didn’t deserve to die like that I just knew it was going to be they faked their deaths or something. The best friend was wrong for saying her downfall was loving her husband how she did. Because if she would have went she would have had the same fate.

WOW A page turning modern day Urban Romeo and Juliet.
This series took ride or die, ten toes down to a whole different level. He was a menace she was a princess together they were a problem, pure pressure. A must read, thoroughly enjoyable! The unexpected turn of events without the typical fictional ending was everything.

Whew, what a ride Lucky and Nicole took us on!?! I just knew it wasn’t going to end like that. I’m truly in my feelings about the ending. No happily ever after. Nicole didn’t get the proper closure about her uncle and mother. Overall, a good read.

This series WAS 🔥🔥🔥. From page the 1st page to the very last I was caught tf up!! Nicole and Lucky was some real life gangstas!!! I hate what happened at the end, but I think I understand the why. Hopefully, my girl will get a spin off. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS SERIES!!

what?!
The one star is strictly for the ending because everything leading up to it was a mess. They had way too much money, power, and access to go out like that. We know money talks. Nothing about that outcome made sense for the world the author built. It wasn’t shocking in a good way, just disappointing.
Everybody being taken out felt lazy, like the plot hit a wall and the author just cleared the board instead of resolving anything. Yeah, it was different… but not the kind of different that works.
Now I need to read something good to wash this whole book out of my system.

Nicole was such a strong female character in book 1. I was disappointed to see her become Bonnie to his Clyde. That said, the book was still interesting. I definitely didn't expect the huge plot twist at the end

So the characters drop dead just like that wow SMH I was hoping Sadiq, Lucky and wifey would have just been in hiding and they really survived the shots and some outside source would have helped them escape. I was really hoping that since the call dropped on that lawyer, he would have some how managed to just send a good source to they rescue! Something telling me that Lucky shouldn't have hung up that burner phone ol girl had. Can't believe my book bae Lucky went out like that! Author J. you wrong for that mam 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I could actually see a spin off to this! Let's say Sadiq Sr come back with Tati to get revenge on that detective, the fake father, in prison! Sadiq Sr should put a hit on him using a third-party and Tati should be that person, using a resource she may know, of course after having the baby 🤷🏿♀️ then please let it turn out my book husband and his brother and wife didn't die 🤔😁 But seriously I enjoyed this book but the ending was shocking but not satisfying 😔😔😔 Well I'll be looking out for more books by this author. She got my attention ✌🏿✌🏿✌🏿

Now J. Charnise I disrespect that. The secrets that came out 💣💥. Agent Frankie was a bastard and deserved more than what he got. His partner/mistress Debo got what she deserved as well I wish they would have tortured her but she was ended. I think k if they would have just surrender and with the evidence the lawyer had on the detective they would have gotten off and been able to live happily but I guess it was time for Lucky and Nicole's journey to end, a true ride or die love story.
