3 stars. I'm conflicted. although the romance part is molto bene, I'm not impressed with the author herself. When one is writing a book in first person, they aught to at least TRY to understand their character's profession. The doctor-speak was fine. But for a character who has multiple culinary degrees, she aught to know what the names of the ingredients are. although the name might not have come to her when writing it, she could have at least gone back and fixed it. any literate person can go to the nearest grocery store and read the label off of a box! I's sad to say that at age 5 i knew by heart what a grown woman can't take 3 minutes to learn.

I just didn't feel the chemistry between Emma and Nathan. I found myself flipping through the book, scanning for something interesting, which I just didn't find. It was an Ok read, I didn't throw it across the room in disgust, but all in all, it wasn't to my taste and I wouldn't recommend it.

Cute story about a hunky heart surgeon and a chef who is the only member of her family not to go into medicine. She resents coming in second best to her parents' jobs and has sworn never to get involved with a doctor, so of course the hero decides to change her mind. There's a nice bit of angst, some great dialog and a good read.

I really enjoyed this book Nate and Emma had a lot to overcome before they got their HEA but get they did, this is the first Valerie Parv book I have read but it won't be the last

Apparently I read this back in early 2011 but I don't remember much of it. I'd have to say due to my rating that it is most likely mediocre to most things I enjoy reading.
