Wow, was this terrible! Juvenile writing. Stupid dialogue. And dirty talk that's more gross than sexy.

I needed a short story to read to kill some time and this popped up and was short… I really should maybe look up reviews before I read things (but we know that’s not gonna happen if I just randomly find it on Amazon and need a quickie). Anywho…
Pretty sure most of the word count in this story consists of “virgin pussy” and “monster cock” repeated over and over and over again. Pretty sure at one point “monster cock” was said multiple times in one sentence (not a lie).
The premise was interesting. The follow through was a shitshow. Literally met and 2 seconds later he has her naked and being spanked in the middle of the fucking woods with the rest of her party rambling about in said woods. They saved said stragglers via riding some fucking bears (this was like 5 seconds after they met and he called his homies for bear riding backup).
Whatever. If you’d like to waste an hour of your day and have the words “virgin pussy” and “monster cock” engraved into your eyeballs, this book might be for you.

Her sweet virgin nectar is one of the grossest sentences I’ve ever read! There was loads more sentences like that. 🤮🤮🤮 Just no!

When he sees his mate Callie who is camping in the woods, with her sister and her sisters friends. Unbeknown to Callie they are after Jason. When he realises that Callie is innocent and doesn’t know about who he is, he’s madly in love with her. She loves him and they have sex six million times. 🙈 Here we go again…….
At one point Callie’s sister and her sisters friends, are missing in the woods, and he has to have her naked against a tree. 😂😂😂🙄 Never mind that they could be injured! Oh they were injured. This one was not my favorite. I feel like the characters were thrown together to fast especially with the explanation of the main male character being a shifter. It was so rushed and she was so accepting that they were mates and he was a bear it seemed far fetched. This is a short story but the writer did so much better with her other works. Not my favorite mainly because I could not connect with the characters.

Dies ist eine schöne Geschichte über Wandler, die ein wenig anders ist als man erwartet.
Der Schreibstil ist leicht und flüssig gehalten und es gab eine wechselnde Erzählperspektive beider Protagonisten. Die Handlung ist ebenfalls leicht gehalten und hat keine großen oder tiefe Einblicke, ist dennoch schön gemacht.
Cassie kam mir anfangs etwas wie ein Mauerblümchen vor, da sie eher von zurückhaltender Natur schien. Doch das hat getäuscht, denn wenn sie will sagt sie auch mal ihre Meinung und steht ihre Frau. Sie hat außerdem ein mitfühlendes Herz und eine offene Meinung, so dass sie niemals jemanden vorvorurteilt.
Jason war mir anfänglich etwas undurchsichtig, denn erst sagt er er könne seine Gefährtin nicht beanspruchen "weil er einen Pakt mit dem Teufel schloss" und würde nur auf sie aufpassen und gefühlt zwei Seiten später geht es nur darum das er Cassie beansprucht. Auch das er plötzlich nur weil seine Gefährtin es möchte ins Showgeschäft erneut einsteigt und nichts diesbezüglich aufgeklärt wurde ob der Skandal nun vorbei ist bzw. geklärt wurde fand ich etwas traurig.....
Es blieb einfach viel zu viel offen am Ende.
Dennoch eine gute Geschichte für zwischendurch.

Chosen mate
Callie goes on a camping trip with her sister and friends for her bachelorette party. Callie has bo clue why she chose a camping trip for her party but she went because it’s what her sister wanted. When they find their camping site they set camp. Callie takes a map and follows the directions down to the lake you wash up. She notices a cabin in the words and is a little shocked. She didn’t think anyone lived in this fat into the woods. She walks back to the campsite as it’s getting dark. She keeps looking into the woods, little foes she knows her soon to be mate is watching her. He seen her down by the lake and followed her to the campsite. The next morning Callie wakes to her sister being gone from their tent. She hear’s her sister and her friends whispering about something. She knew her sister was up to something. She offers to go with them but her sister turns her down. When they leave Callie follows them. They end up at that cabin Callie noticed yesterday and they knock on the door. A huge ass bears comes out roaring. All four girls go scattering. Callie is hidden in the bushes as the bear comes over to her. She sprays bear spray in his face and keeps spraying. Then she hears a voice saying to stop it. Callie opens her eyes and shakes the can, says it empty. She looks up to a tall naked sexy man who’s standing where the bear just was. Then the teat is history.

If you enjoy shifter tales, spicy romance, lady with curves and heart with a bit of mean girls thrown in and the calling of a mate, check this one out. It is a quick read that will make you smile. Look for a few changes in the shifter personality as well, since Ariana Hawkes has her own ideas about shifters monogamy. My four star rate was because I would have liked to have seen a little more interaction filling out the mean girls instead of just telling me.

This is a quick, sweet and steamy romance. Callie went with her sister for her bachelorette/camping weekend even though her sister's friends are the worst so she must keep her eyes and ears open. When Callie follows her sister and friends to a cabin, she wants nothing to do with it as they try to break in. The grizzly bear who owns the cabin is an actor named Jason Trentino who took himself out of that world. Callie is the one who gets caught by the grizzly. Callie and Jason's chemistry is so strong that he knows Callie is his fated mate. Loved the part where the sister and her friends need the help of grizzlies to get them out their situations. Great ending with Callie not only getting her man but showing her sister and friends that social media is not the end all while Callie gets her man and a happily ever after.

What a (thankfully short) pile of steaming shit. There aren’t enough words to describe how utterly awful this book is. It reads like it was written by a teenaged incel who missed most of his English grammar lessons. An author’s job, when writing fantasy, is to make the reader believe in the unbelievable. This failed in that, SO HARD. In every single respect. The characters were one dimensional and so poorly explained, I got to the end of the book not feeling like I knew a single one of them. More words were devoted to talking about the MMC’s “monster cock” (that’s a direct quote - from the MMC’s POV, for the love of all things holy, ffs) and how “tight” and “virginal” the FMC was, than were devoted to character building, scene building. Ugh. Ugh, ugh, UGH. I need brain bleach. Thank FUCK it was short, that’s all I can say. What a disaster of a book.

This was such a fun read and it went places I didn't expect it to ;) Callie is forced to go on a bachelorette hiking weekend with her estranged sister and mean-girl friends. Mocked and totally unsure why any of these 'princesses' wanted this kind of a weekend, let alone include her, who is different than them in every way - not slim, not popular, not a social media influencer - she knows they're up to something... When Jason gets a whiff of something, someone, enticing, he has to follow his nose. Callie was perfect for him in every way... The sparks sure flew when these two finally meet up face to face and their romance unfolded at a quick pace. With some drama, threats and a smoking hot romance, I was thrilled to follow Callie and Jason on their journey to a fab HEA :D

Callie never imagined that hiking with her sister and her besties would be such a drag, except for the part where she meets the hot guy in her dreams. Only the way isn't so Kosher, it involves her sister and her besties breaking into his cabin to get some video for their social media. Turns out the hot guy is the well-known celebrity Jason Trentino in hiding because of unsavory publicity.
To top it all off I'm his mate and I love that fact, now if only people knew the real reason behind that bad publicity, maybe they would realize it was all a big mistake. Even though my guy doesn't care about that, I do, but not for me, for him. Jason deserves all the good he can get, because he's a good guy and the world should know that.
Hot times in the mountains, get ready ladies!

There's a reason we read fairy tales. Chosen By The Grizzly by Ariana Hawkes is an 86-page modern-day shifter fairy tale. The cover art lets you know there is a bear shifter mountain man as the MC. The blurb lets you know who the damsel in distress is. She needs to be rescued from a cruel sister and a lonely world. Yes, it is OTT, but isn't that why we read this genre? The story and writing were good and what I found more uplifting was that I only found 1 mistake where a word needed to be included. In a genre where editing and proofing also seem to be a fairy tale a clean read is an added enjoyment. I recommend this book and say raspberries to the 1-star reviews on Amazon. I borrowed this book from KU.

Great story
As always, another very intense " Finding his Mate" story. I loved the premise of a former Hollywood hottie, hiding out to escape the sneaky fanatics who try to track him down to get photos of him for money, and destroy his privacy. Finding his mate is an innocent dup in her sisters underhanded plan. Jason can tell she's not involved, and she's been used as a work horse for the selfish group of Tik Tok groupies. She meets him as a very naked, well endowed man, with a beard, but no idea who he is, or why she had a sex dream about him the night before. Great story, and better ending.

Ariana filled her novella with loads of emotions, action, and warmth. Callie meets her mate, bear shifter Jason, and is mesmerized. She instantly feels a connection between them, sexually and emotionally. Their encounters are magical, sexy, and romantic. I loved the steamy scenes, how Callie was so open to the shifter world, and the heartwarming ending

This book is pretty dumb. It's also very short, so if you've got some time to kill and nothing else to read you could end up like me.
Let's see, the writing was pretty bad. Very juvenile with the bullying and mean girls at the beginning and insta love with the guy.
I hated so many of the sexual descriptions. 'monster cock, virgin nectar' etc etc.
10 minutes after meeting him she's stripping down in the forest so he can spank her, cause you know, that a pretty normal reaction from a virgin who's never been kissed who's also wandering the forest looking for her sister and her friends worried that they're hurt.

I read the book in about an hour. The pages just kept turning and I couldn’t read fast enough. Callie with her sister and her sister’s friends decided to go camping for Lindseys bachelorette party. Callie thought that was strange but kept thinking it was only for 3 days. Never did she think her life would change drastically in those days or that she would meet her one and only love or that her sister and her friends were planning some kind of freaky TikTok video.

The story felt rushed and I wish Callie and Jason spent some more time together. They do manage to save her sister and their friends but wish Callie and Jason spent more time bonding as Mates. This is the first book that I've read from this author and I really enjoyed it. I would just have preferred it to be a bit longer as I wanted more!
It's clear from reading this that there will be others in the series and these appear to be standalones, as this is actually book 3.

Good quick read

I loved her quirky personality, I don't feel I learnt anything about Jason's though.
anyway, yep they get straight together and then epilogue, they live HEA
I do like a steamy quick book, but it lacked something therefore I can't give it 5 stars, I also skimmed it, which I rarely do on short books.

Cute
It was quick and cute, gotta admit. It took me a minute to finish the book. But once I did pick it back up and start reading again I liked it. It's weird, my first attempt I just couldn't get into it. But after giving it a second chance I didn't mind it. It had a cute short plot that was cute yet also provided tiny pieces of that action people crave within romance books.
Which is something I've always loved about this author and her book series.

ML is a recluse bear shifter who was an actor. FL is a shy girl who is on a hike with her sister into the woods for a bachelorette party, the bimbos actually want to find this guy for their influencer feeds and get lost in the woods when the bear scares them off. FL and ML are fated mates, ML uses his bear skills to find the lost girls and get them to safety. Thought it was funny that they hook up before she knows the guys name.

Short, sweet, and not ridiculously unbelievable. There was even a bit of a mini plot going on. Obviously there not much time for fleshing out characters or character development, but I appreciated that despite the Insta love nature of this fated mates situation, they didn’t immediately start boning.
The spice was kind of lackluster though. Didn’t really do anything for me.

I enjoyed this sweet and so sexy story with Cassie and Jason. When she is separated from her sister while under the pretense of a camping trip bachelorette party, Jason is there to claim his mate. He is a bear shifter running from his old life and she is the plain jane to her sister and sister's friends. I loved the magic between them and their HEA.

This was a quick instant love shifter style story. Basically Callie goes camping with her sister and ends up with a sexy bear shifter. A fast paced, quick steamy read that was entertaining. And enjoyed watching Callie get the hot guy instead of her sister and sister's friends. Did make me laugh a few times too.

This has a bit of drama. Callie goes to the mountains with her sister and sisters friends. Not realizing what they are going to do they break into a cabin of Jason who is well known. Guess who gets caught. And guess who gets a unexpected view of a naked man. Loved the characters maybe not the sister and her friends.

I love this series. I hope there will be lots more. Callie and Jason's relationship happens fast and fury-ous😉. Their connection to one another is off the charts. I love these books because there is low angst and lots spice and love. The HEA's are always really good too!

Omg Jason and Callie are a cute fated mates couple! I’m glad he found the one to help his bear from being to feral!! Callie found someone who would give her the world instead of her doing everything for others!! I love that they’re spicy together!! I like his nickname for her Honeybun!! It’s unique

Great spicy novella! Spicy but with a decent plot.
I docked a star for all the times the MMC referred to his junk as a monster-C and the number of times he referred to the FMC as a virgin. ( I get it, she's still a V.) If it was a drinking game I'd be plastered and that's saying a lot for a book that's only 80-ish pages. LOL
