Lennox and Rome’s past was messy with a capital M. He was keepin’ hella secrets from his then wife that could seriously affect their future. Then, when he needed her the most, Lennox ghosted Rome and did the unforgivable. Six years later, these two run into each other purely by happenstance and to say Rome is still angry and hurt is an understatement. And, justifiably so. That shyt Lennox pulled was foul AF. When Lennox and Rome get stuck in an elevator during a storm, they are forced to have a very uncomfortable conversation that’s six years overdue. Sex and Rescue was a second chance romance done right. The author managed to give us plenty of drama, romance, passion, and sex without a lot of unnecessary fluff and fillers. I loved the energy between Lennox and Rome and that epilogue tugged at every single one of my heartstrings. 🥹🥹🥹 Sex and Rescue was a phenomenal debut by A. Blossom and I look forward to reading more from her.

4.5⭐️ The title and book cover doesn’t give much away for what the story is about and I appreciate that. A. Blossom came out swinging and I ate this book up in an hour! All Lennox wanted to do was sulk and work on the day that was supposed to be her wedding day. She didn’t expect to walk into work and see her ex-husband.. Rome put on a brave face but he wanted that old thing back, something serious. I loved how both characters felt similar feelings during their first encounter. Neither expected to be stuck in an elevator for 5 hours with each other. The sexual tension, years of resentment, unanswered questions- all came to a head. The elevator spice was much appreciated.. and I was clutching my pearls. 💅Rome said daddy was home and he showed Lennox what she had been missing out on. Heck, I would have been packing up my things as well to go home! 🤣 I think this was a solid debut. I truly wish it was longer and that is a good sign. And yes, I was cheering when Trevor got his tail beat. Whew, the audacity! 🙅🏾‍♀️

This short read about Lennox and Rome was interesting. Teehee even through all the hurt and betrayal they folded quickly in the elevator. I’m not sure how I feel about Lennox reason for being with Trevor. But in words of Rome “ Daddy’s Home”. Trevor is one snake bitch ass nigga , because how you do all that just to lose the girl years later.

Sex and Rescue

This was a full circle moment with love, passion, drama and forgiveness for two. Being stuck in the elevator was needed for Lennox and Romelo, and a time to read about 😉. Romelo was wrong for not being upfront and Lennox was wrong too on many more levels. Girl you could of at least talked to him and the move you made afterwards, really!? Trevor’s a** beating was for the second time was a cherry on top.

Rome gets his wife

Yesss, I enjoyed this sexy novelette. When I tell you Romelo was better than me, because it would be a cold day in hell that I go back to a woman that left me high and dry to be with my best friend. Romelo was basically living a secret life and he ended up doing time, his wife Lennox chose to separate rather than hold him down. I wasn't really mad at that because she was clueless to his lifestyle. However, dating his fboy of a friend for years was a clear violation. When Lennox and Romelo finally cross paths again and they are forced to be alone together, old feelings resurface. Through the anger and resentment, chemistry and love is sparked. Whew baby the way these two cut up, I mean nasty you hear me, you would have thought they had been in touch throughout the years. The heart wants what the heart wants and despite all the drama they had been through, they end up with a beautiful HEA.

The book was not riddled with errors, but could have used some fine tuning. My pet peeve is when the mcs name is misspelled. Romelo was Romello a few times. Mya, a subcharacter was May. It's important that names are spelled right. Also at the beginning of the story they stated Lennox had been with her ex for the past 8 years, but later in the story it switches to 6 years. Overall, I enjoyed the story though.

This was alright and tbh, I read about this book because Kimberly Brown mentioned it in Hold Me While You Wait and at 77 pages I downloaded that quickly.

The MCs get trapped in a lift together after a business meeting and it became the perfect place for them to hash out their shit. They were married but the MMC got arrested and then the FMC got with (and engaged to) his best friend. The betrayal was deep but they were both in the wrong, FMC for the betrayal and forcing an annulment because of her parents and the MMC for not being honest with what he was really dealing with. The FMCs marriage didn't happen because her (now) ex is a cheat (shocker) and so they're left with their feelings in a lift for 5+ hours. Guess what happens 😏 nothing like some forced proximity 😉

This book was short and cute. Rome was going to get his woman by any means necessary & I love that Lennox 😭. It’s always 2 sides to a story, one person hurt isn’t any greater than the other. I was happy the two let that hurt go and get married 3 times 😂.

This was short read, but don’t skimp on the drama. Wow…*bombastic side eye* at Lennox because girl what?!?! While I’m glad they got a second chance, I think Rome gave in too soon. She needed to swear a bit more because again girl whattt?!?! I can get being upset about what was revealed when he was arrested, but his bestfriend…girl bye. Anyway…I’m glad it worked out for them. I look forward to reading what’s next Ms. Blossom!

All right picture of this you’re 18 fresh in college dating this guy, he is the love of your life. You’ve never felt this way for anyone before and after a year of dating you guys decide that you should get married because you’re not gonna end up with anybody else. You haven’t told your parents anything and after a week of being a wife, you and your husband get arrested after about 48 hours of being questioned about things that you had no idea were happening you learned that your husband is a kingpin running his own drug operation and possibly sanctioning hits. You’re devastated you’re depressed, your parents end up finding out that you’re married your dad forces you to get an annulment everything is a mess. After weeks of depression and anxiety and Lord knows what else his best friend ends up showing up and trying to get you out of this funk and things happen and now you think you’re in love with him. So you date your ex-husband’s best friend and y’all end up engaged and for some crazy reason karma just refuses to let you go and you walk in on your now fiancé in the middle of it with somebody else. Once again, your heart is broken. You decide to change your number or change your email move states only to have to present a pitch for a TV show to none other than your ex-husband??? This was so good. I don’t know why I took so long to read this because I’ve had this in my library for a minute and I wish I read it sooner. Every single moment was on Go. From the moment, Romelo had his hands on Lennox he didn’t let her up for a minute. I mean they did talk, but he was just putting it down and I was a little jealous cause girl!! I didn’t know what was going on, but I knew a lot was happening. It was funny it was spicy. It was fast paced and on point.

Come Thru Rome

This was my first A. Blossom book and I loved it. This was a great second chance for a first love story. I was caught up in this story and I finished it quickly.

Lennox and Rome see each other again after 5 years on what was supposed to be her wedding day to another man. Lennox broke up with Rome when he went to prison. She ended up engaged to his best friend. Rome is justifiably pissed at Lennox. She feels guilty about the way she handled her relationship with Rome but she’s pissed because she learned so many things she didn’t know when Rome was arrested.

She and Rome get stuck together and they clear the air. They both have reasons to be upset but at the end of the day is it worth it? This couple went through so much and I was happy they got their chance to love each other. The plot twist with Trevor was shocking but it should not have been when I think about it. I was so happy when Rome opened that can of whup a$$ on him. I can’t think of anyone who had it coming like him. This book got me out of my reading slump and I can’t wait to read more from this author.

Lennon and Romelo

Lennox and Romelo both were wrong with their decision making. I do feel like Lennox couldve chose a different man though. I do get it being young and manipulated all played a part. The saying a shoulder to cry on is a d to ride on is definietly what Lennox experienced lol. Romelo definietly had a right to have all the anger towards Lennox. In my opinion I wouldve moved on cause she ain’t stay 10 toes down at his worst point but I do get why she didn’t. She was young and her father basically made the decision for her. The heart wants what the heart wants. Romelo truly loved Lennox. Being in close proximity bought back their deeper feelings from their college days. Yall the spiciness 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️ was there chile. Romelo gave BDE and tore that ass up in that elevator. He went after what he wanted and got it. Trevor was a mess and a hater. It’s a lot Trevor’s out here. Any man that preys on your vulnerability is a trash ass 🥷🏽. Lennox and Romelo got their HEA and the ending was beautiful. I finished this less than hour. It was short and fast paced. This was a good debut and i’m looking forward to seeing what else is in store.

I learned about this book while reading Hold Me While You Wait by Kimberly Brown because it was name-dropped. Kimberly’s character was hyping it up, and the synopsis sounded interesting so I wanted to check it out.

This was a short read and when the author’s note mentioned Rome and Lennox moved quick, she meant that shit 😂

The story was very true to its title. There was a lot of sex and rescuing [from the elevator, themselves, pain]. So much so that I didn’t really feel connected with the characters. Like yeah we got a bit of their backstory, but I wasn’t really rooting for Rome and Lennox or anything. And that’s not a bad thing. The book is less than 100 pages and literally called Sex and Rescue. I wasn’t expecting more than that lol.

Also, I might be in the minority here, but I think Lennox was justified in doing what she did 🫣 — not her getting together with [Trash Ass] Trevor but the other thing (I don’t want to give away spoilers).

What do you do when you’re stuck in an elevator with your first love. The man you betrayed when he needed your support the most?! You fk him, do the humpty hump do the bumpty bump fk him (IYKYK 😏)

Romelo was excited to take his tattoo business to the next level but had no idea that the woman that broke his heart nearly a decade prior would be the producer in charge of his show. Seeing Lennox caused a flood of emotions to rush back to the forefront of Rome’s mind and even though he really wanted to give Lennox his ass to kiss he wanted answers more than anything.

Lennox and Rome got down to the nitty gritty on that elevator and all I want to know is where’s the elevator footage?! 😈😏
