Mixed with City Wolves Book 6 Arden can’t seem to let go of the fact that a human she couldn’t wipe after the latest mission could leave The Pack vulnerable. It would be easier to relax and let go of the one failure among hundreds of successes, if she didn’t keep seeing the man everywhere. Unsure of exactly what the hooded male looks like, Arden is beginning to think that she’s imagining things. While still seeing the mystery man seemingly everywhere, Arden turns her focus to her newest assignment, providing security to a local band on the verge of making it big. The Lead Singer, Zaden Mane, has a Stalker problem. The moment her team meets the band, Arden realizes that she now has a Zaden Mane problem.
Lynn Leite is an author, artist, teacher and mother of three. Her wild imagination, and gift for gab blended perfectly in 2009, when she decided to write it all down. In addition to writing, she designs and illustrates her own covers.
Arden is bewildered when she's able to wipe everyone but this one man, then runs into him a dozen times in the weeks that follow. When she is assigned to guard the lead singer of a band that is being stalked and meets him for the first time it's him and they have an instant attraction. His blood is drawn and he has shifter DNA and they are mates. The stalker, A black mailer and a man that shoots Zadyn are arrested. Zadyn turns for the first time when shot. Zadyn and his mom are moving in with Arden and are now a part of the Hemming pack.
I love the City Wolves series. The characters are quirky and fun. My only complaint is that the dialogue is somewhat stilted, this is due to the fact that contractions are never used. Conversations among friends and co-workers in real life or in fiction are seldom that formal. This may fulfill a word count, but makes reading somewhat tedious. For that reason 4 stars.
