The All Tied Up Duet #2

All Tied Up Again

Rate this book
How many people can say they’re in love with their best friend?

Evan Simmons was the boy I always wanted, but after loving him from afar for so many years, this relationship isn’t the perfect picture I thought it would be.

These days, his attention is less focused on me and more on the dating app he’s developing. He’s even found an investor who has invited us to Los Angeles for a meeting. I’m not sure if this business trip will be a chance for Evan and me to reconnect, or if it will drive us further apart.

And it doesn’t help that his attractive investor has set his sights on me.

***

It took me far too long to fall in love with my best friend.

Cat Gallagher is the girl of my dreams, and she was in front of me all this time—I was just too stupid to realize it. But when she found out about my lifestyle of ropes and cuffs, she accepted me for who I am, including my darkest fantasies.

Which is why I’m going to spend the rest of my life proving myself worthy of her love. This new app I’m developing is going to be a game changer, and when I get my business off the ground, I’ll have enough money to propose to Cat. After everything I’ve put her through, she deserves a charmed life of roses and champagne.

But someone else has an interest in Cat, and if I’m not careful, he might swoop in and steal her away from me.

It is highly recommended to read All Tied Up (Book 1) before reading this story. This is the second and final installment of the All Tied Up duet.

Growing up, I was always unsatisfied with fade-to-black romance scenes in books and movies. So I took matters into my own hands and started writing about what happens after the happily ever after. As I got older, these romantic fanfictions and one-shots became original full-length novels—with lots of steamy action.

When I’m not writing, you can find me exploring my home state of Arizona with my husband, stepdaughter, and three dogs (two Shih Tzus and a wacky golden retriever).

Moving onto the second book, I get that Evan wants to create this wonderful life for them and be better than he already is; create his app, expand the bdsm scene, but he’s putting it before their relationship!

The whole thing with Ben, the investor, was gross. First with him, we didn’t know it at the time, putting lotion on Cat at the pool, then him forcing himself on her after the shibari demonstration. I’m glad that Evan made that terrible event into something positive, because honestly I don’t know how it would’ve impacted their relationship otherwise.

Overall, I’m glad to see in the end that Evan got his priorities, Cat, straight and proposed. And our Kitty Cat might even have a praise kink of her own!

I could not put it down.

I got all tied up in this sequel, pun intended. The angst level and the roller coaster of emotions made me love this amazing author even more !!

Well done ! I highly recommend this series !

I enjoyed the sequel but I would have wished it went into more detail on what she liked and how she was able to divulge that to him. All and all cute book.

I just wanted to see more on their relationship kat and evan and i wanted to see if they would actually be together. This book was so good i learned a lot of bdsm terms since i dont like bdsm but i like to read about other peoples sex kinks. This story was so good and i like how they had to work out some problems they had but the end had a happily ever after.

- “I guess you could say I have a Cat Gallagher kink.”

-page: 198 location: 2793
- When Evan uses me for his own pleasure like this, it makes my body sing for him.

-page: 198 location: 2795

Low score due to miscommunication trope and FMC cheating/being unfaithful.

Really liked the first book in the duet but Cat seemed more childish in this book and more of the jealous type that seemed to only want marriage and a baby once her friend had it. Also she went from being tbh obsessed with Evan and what I felt were childish tantrums because he wouldn’t let her just jump into the deep end of the kink was off putting. Also she kept alluding that she didn’t care about money but as soon as Ben displayed wealth she was having him rub his hands all over her and then flirting with the waiter. I understand Evan didn’t fuck you for a week after an argument but it felt like she never really met him in the middle or just complained that he was trying to make something of himself and she didn’t want him to. She tries to come off as understanding but she’s really not and her running away from the party and turning off her phone to deliberately punish Evan for doing what she gave consent for him to do, also why is her saying she’s okay for him to perform the Shibari dubious consent when she had already said she wanted to be the one in the rope, she had a hissy fit when he said she wasn’t ready then she leaves crying. Also she clearly made out to Jackie he had done something terrible when he didn’t and then she goes over to Ben’s after again flirting with him, flirts with him over breakfast, pretty much alludes to the fact that if she was single she would fuck him. What he did was wrong but that wasn’t Evan’s fault and she just pushed that blame onto him. Then she also lied about the pool scenario brushing it off like what she did was okay. Then she’s giving whiplash, “finish in me” “no don’t finish in me” “yes finish in me” I just felt so bad Evan

Okay I don’t even know how to go about this. I could have just read the first one and stopped there. This whole book was just a whole miscommunication and Cat overall just being an annoying bitch. She was upset with Evan the entire book and it honestly seemed like she hated him but never told him why and was just so short with him. She never stood her ground and just let whatever excuse he said fly. Yes too he should had been more transparent tho about his want to marry her and move forward with their relationship not just keep it all to himself. Like I thought you guys were best friends.

Next the whole situation with Ben, you could have seen from a mile away like how stupid do you have to be. Okay, yes she didn’t ask for that but why go see him in the first place when he was clearly flirting with you the night before and you have shit you need to fix with your man like could you be any dumber 🤦🏼‍♀️

Disappointing

This was so disappointing. I loved Cat and Evan in the first book but this was not Cat. This was Cat's evil, selfish sister who treats Evan like trash and almost cheats on him. Don't get me wrong Ecan definitely didn't communicate with Cat but that's where his sins end while Cat's go on for a bit longer. I was so disappointed with how Cat was written in this book and how her whole personality changed. She even admits multiple times that she purposefully does things to hurt Evan which is terrible. They apparently get therapy at the end of the book but I still believe that if there is any big argument Cat would run away and possible cheat on Evan given the chance. He genuinely deserves better and so does book 1 Cat because this isn't her.

If you loved Cat and Evan the first time around, they you will REALLY love the conclusion to their story. While the story revolves around BDSM and kinks, this is NOT a crazy kinky spicy book. There is plenty of spice, but this is a character driven story. At the core of this story Cat and Evan are just two very different people who love each other deeply and have to navigate those differences in order to be together. Absolutely love these character. Love the story.

Again this one was okay and felt like it had a bit more of a plot to it, compared to the first one. The characters had a bit more of development to them and felt little more intriguing. Things did feel like they were going steady pace wise but then all of a sudden, everything started moving really fast again. Spicy was alright, I didn't like the constant use of the nickname, in all aspects, it became weird and lost affect.

Once again, I am in LOVE with this book. I’ve not been able to put it down once I’ve started reading!
This book covers some serious topics but I think the way it’s written and talked about in this book really brings awareness to it.

The one thing that KILLED me was the lack of communication between cat and Evan. Like I was screaming.

All in all this book was really good, I thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely read it again!!

It was a good conclusion to the duet. I found that the relations between Evan and cat touched on important life choices that happen to people in relationships. Cat advocating for them to go to couples therapy was so important for their furtive and recognising how to be better for and with each other.

Now this was a step up from the first book! I feel like the first one felt like just an introduction to the characters, whereas this one had so much more depth to it. Granted it could have definitely been better, especially the ending as I wish we could have seen more into their life afterwards, however it was an easy read and satisfied me enough whilst in a bit of a slump.

A great follow-up to All Tied Up!! It seriously has everything you could want in a story, with that extra spiciness 🔥🔥 I really enjoyed the relationship not being "perfect" like some other books make it seem. Highly recommend reading thus 2 book series!!

A great ending to Cat and Evan. Loved it! HOWEVER, my one critique...the very first chapter is extremely unrealistic in today's society. Her parents were portrayed as having absolutely no common sense in privacy. It just baffled me. But, other than that, I loved it!

This could have been part of the first book. It didn’t seem necessary to have a second one at all. Both books are insanely short which is why I feel like the main characters have no personality and no connection with each other.
