Seeking Stalker…

It was supposed to be an ad to feed my fantasy. Maybe to even help heal my traumatic past. What I got instead was more than I bargained for.

I thought I found the perfect stalker. Rhett Rivera was what my dreams were made of.

The first book is a Dark Romance and contains scenes with very graphic violence, torture, disturbing situations, and strong language. Read at your own risk. Check magirlpublishing.com website for TW warnings for the A. A. Dark version.

What a unique read!!

I have never read something like this before. This book actually has 2 completely different story lines! One is just your average dark romance read, and then the other is another piece of the puzzle to the A.A. Dark Universe! How cool is that???

Each of the two different stories starts off with the same 8 chapters. In the first version of the story you get to read the regular dark romance version. After finishing that version, the story is supposed to reset back to where you left off at chapter 8 from the first part and then it continues as a totally different story!

I just thought this book was really cool, and while I did enjoy both stories for very different reasons…. I did also feel like some parts of the plot were heavily rushed at times in both books.

Overall:
I would highly recommend reading this book! If you are deep diving into the A.A. Dark universe the same way I am, definitely read the A.A. Dark version of this book because it’s an important piece of the story ( at least I think it is lol ). But also, even if you’re not interested in reading her whole universe of books, read the regular dark romance version of this book!!
Or… do what I did and read both! 😉

**Make sure to read both Volume I and II of the GOTG series first before reading the A.A. Dark version of this book!**

Let me be very honest ( I actually can't help it 🙃🥲)

I was anticipating and expecting quite a lot from this book, and given the fact that Whitlock series by this author is one of my top favs in deranged reads, the expectations were justified.

But it couldn't deliver for me unfortunately.

1) I am discovering that Stalker romance is becoming a pet peeve for me cuz...
a) it's hard to take them seriously as a stalker when you know they are going to be a love interest lol ,
b) authors don't do this trope justice. There's no stalker fear anymore(that would have added to the feels) , it's just lust.

2) Things here moved at a very fast pace. I felt like everything was too hasty and rushed.

3) I couldn't like the characters AT ALL.
a) Rhett... I just hated him. He had no personality except...pathetic obsession. It was exasperating tbh.
b) June.... she had potential (in both books) but she ends up being.... Basic? That's the only word I come up with every time I try to describe her. She was a very basic dark romance bitch. 😕
c) Elec...dayummmm🫠🫠now that was a fucking character. He was the only person I loved in this book and he appeared in the AA Dark version only. He was a psychotic delight! ❤️‍🔥💀💀He loved torture and his main fun was mindfucking people... It's like Alaska snatched my dream man from hell😌💅🥵😈 I would love to read his book. 🖤

Hello? where’s the 10/10 button??

10/10 HIGHLY recommend- no, INSISTENTLY DEMAND that you read this book. Ms. Alaska/AA - you did it again u sweet Goddess!! Bravo and congratulations on breaking yet another boundary in your spectacular journey. Who else could even bring you two worlds merged together yet with the readers choice of the degree of intensity other than this amazing woman? You have done something so unique and I am so humbled to be a part of your cheering section (and to see my name in print had me gasping for air, sincerely, thank you!)
Now,Time for the review.
**In the beginning of the book June is a beautiful and talented woman that is desperately lacking self confidence and inner strength. She’s goal driven and works so hard to succeed, yet portions of her past constantly make her second guess herself. She has a secret. She’s terrified to act on a fantasy that’s threatening to consume her. She fantasizes of having someone’s unwavering admiration- so much so that they would risk everything just to watch her. June fantasizes of having a stalker.
**Rhett Rivera is not just any attractive businessman. He’s harboring his own secrets. He has a darkness inside of him. Until now, he’s done all he can to keep his inner demons just that. Inner. Until he sees it. The ad. “Seeking Stalker”. There’s no containing the demons.
**The question, now, lies in the readers hands. Will they get their beautiful dark romance or will they be surrounded in “pitch dark” and dragged into a mind-bending, terrifying underground world where only the most elite can come to play? Prepare to open your eyes to both, perhaps, and see what happens “in another life”.

I can’t explain how amazing these stories were….

I’ve never seen anything like the “click and split” genre option that the author did and I can’t wait until everyone reads these to be as amazed as I am….I need someone to talk to about them. She managed to create 2 entirely different stories that are both *chef’s kiss* Mind blowing is as close as I can get to explaining how good they were.

Alaska/AA did what I thought wasn’t possible, and managed to keep me captivated in both stories equally. I was sure I was going to have a favorite, and I don’t…. I love them both.

The characters were well developed and interesting. The spice level was second to none, and the darkness in both stories was just right. Everything that happened worked to further the stories, and was not added, for the sake of titillation or shock value, and they were extremely well written.

If you read anything this year, make it Seeking Stalker… you won’t be disappointed

I hate Elec

He’s a prick. I relish the book where he gets his just rewards and not the good kind. Revenge. I must have it.
To create such a strong reaction to a fictional character says everything about the author’s talent. I read everything you write, my dear. My advice you didn’t ask for? A book about the savage revenge on Elec and rating needs to be Oblivion. I’m a bit unhinged right now. Excellent story, as usual.

This just wasn't hitting the mark for me. I liked the duality of the Alaska and A.A. Dark versions but the beginning was rushed and slightly cringe to me and so was the the ending (I read the A.A. Dark version). This could have been a really wonderful story if it was dragged out more like the Whitlock series, it had a lot of potential and I liked Elec's character.

Another couple associated with the Garden of the Gods series. I had no idea all of these series took place within the the same world. I hope she continues to write the elite stories. Whitlock is still my favorite, though.

The likes of which I've never read before! We know A.A. Dark writes pitch black through static white horror, and Alaska Angelini writes incredible dark romances. For the first time (ever!) You can experience two in one! Not sure if you're ready to go to the dark side? The Alaskan Angelini version splits off at chapter 8 and tells an incredibly weaved stalker suspense story you'll fall in love with. Love the dark so much you like to dance in pitch black? The A.A.Dark version splits off to tell an entirely different story after chapter 8 that will shock you with every page. Want both... you can have that too and read two totally different books in one. Both of these stories will have you flipping the pages (or kindle screens) on the edge of your seat shocked and delighted by each twist the plot takes, and being able to read the characters in another universe/story too... well, that's magic only our Alaska/AA Dark could dream of delivering!

I love a good stalker book and when I found out that one of my favourite authors was writing this genre I was beyond excited.

We are given the insight into both the main characters thoughts and their motivation behind their behaviours but just when you think you know it all A. A. Dark throws in the biggest curve ball and in an instant, BOOM, the plot thickens and it hit all the right spots.

This particular edition follows the same story up until Ch 8 and then it splits into two different genres, Dark Romance or Pitch Black. The beauty of this is that the reader gets to choose which version they prefer or just read both. Same characters but different paths that characters journey is taken.
This is a brilliant concept and one that I hope to see more of.

😳 What a ride. I love the click and flip experience for this two in one book. Both stories have the same main characters and two incredibly different storylines. The Alaska version is an explicit, super spicy, sexy, erotic dark romance. The AA version is an explicit, pitch-black story with some interesting characters that pop up. I was both excited and scared when these characters popped up. And boy, do we learn a TON about one in particular.
