Like the first book, I found this 2nd book in the N'arth series intriguing and difficult to put down. Having returned home, our heroine is confronted with injury, trauma and loss. As she attempts to make her way forward in her new circumstances she is betrayed. What follows is heart wrenching, yet this courageous survivor continues to shine with strength and compassion. Her empathy brings about an unusual friendship with a creature that ultimately saves her life. I am keen to read the next book in the series, as we are left hanging, wondering what will happen to her now.

I really enjoyed this 2nd book in the N’Arth series - it was compelling, filled with imagination, and kept me reading in any spare minute I had. Ended on a chill hanger I hadn’t anticipated which is always a bonus. Can’t wait to read the conclusion.

Action, love, duty, anger; written with depth, precision, and skill. The story grabs you and doesn't let go. Even after you finish reading, it follows you, pulling you back to N'arth.
