Such a well organized and fun book! The book celebrates female artists and their iconic songs and pairs it with really fun and simple to make drinks!! For some reason, all of my friends seem to be intimidated by making simple syrup, but this book makes the fanciest and more intimidating simple syrups super easy and fun to make! There are so many recipes, and I’ve only made a fraction of them, but one of my favorites to make was the “Toxic Rum Shot” paired with Britney Spears’ Toxic!! And best of all, if you’re not a cocktail drinker, the recipes are still super delicious as a mocktail! Really amazing book and will definitely be purchasing it for my friends’ birthdays!!

All good things must come to an end, but unlike most books, this one won’t just end up on a shelf never to be touched again. I can’t wait to pull this out again and again for special occasions and random weeknights when I want to feel fancy. These drinks are inspired by iconic woman in pop and country set to perfect playlists for your mood. If you haven’t snagged your own copy yet, I’m not quite sure what you’re waiting for.

'Sip Me, Baby, One More Time' is such a fun addition to my collection! The drinks are creative but totally approachable. I was able to easily mix up a drink from each chapter with my favorites being the fruity Cranberry and Whiskey Nebraska Mule, Paloma, and the Sad Girl Sangria (which was actually delicious despite the name). I had fun adding my own little twists too - like spicing up the Painkiller with extra nutmeg and orange for more tropical vibes.

What makes this book special is how each chapter captures a different mood through drinks and music. From "Heartbreak" to "Love," there's a song choice for each cocktail - some nostalgic favorites and others newer to me (there's lots of Taylor Swift for all you Swifties out there). I even decided to buy copies for my sisters for Christmas because it's just that fun!

I bartended briefly after college and I absolutely loved it! I would spend quiet moments behind the bar with my nose buried in drink recipes, eager to learn as many drinks as I could, and dying to try the crazier combinations. And even though it's been longer than I'd like to admit since I stepped behind the bar, I still love mixing up a good drink for myself and friends.
That made this opportunity to explore Ashley Gibson's new book of cocktail recipes just perfect! It gave me the opportunity to play bartender again and it's been so much fun!
Gibson prefaces her book with her own story, and starts the recipe for each drink with a story or an introduction. The drinks are organized by emotions like fury, celebration, or longing, and paired with a song that evokes or represents that emotion. I loved it because you're getting a recipe and a glimpse into the author's life and world. It imbues the book with personality and charm, as well as filling it with fun and delicious drinks.
By far my favorite aspect are the syrups in this book. Gibson uses all kinds of infused simple syrups to add flavor and color to her drinks, and I had a blast trying out a few, like the jalepeño and lavender syrups. I have a feeling this book will be making appearances at family gatherings and girls' nights for a long time to come!

I love a good cookbook and there are some common things that they all share, 1) a writing voice and style that invites me into the cookbook, 2) photos that inspire me to create and challenge myself, 3) recipes that I can make with what I have on hand or adapt to I can afford and 4) easy to follow clear instructions. Ashley has this all plus a playlist of songs set by mood that will ensure you are ready to hand any member of your Squad an appropriate pick me up. And this is a great I'm just in the mood to try something new book.

After reading the introduction and making a few simple syrups for my drinks I was ready to Rock n Roll my way into this book. I have made several drinks from this book & I have bookmarks galore for Summer and Spring drinks as well as perfect ideas for Holiday and New Years Parties! I have received so many compliments on my creativity and mixology skills because of this book that I feel like a real mixologist. Thank you Ashley! Every recipe I made was a hit with all the people I made it for and I was easily able to adapt several to non alcoholic mocktails with Sparkling Apple Cider and Sparkling Grape Juices or just using lemon lime soda alone.

This is the PERFECT HOLIDAY OR ANYTIME GIFT for the person who likes to entertain. Add two martini glasses, a bottle of cherries, some hard candies, a nice pinot noir or sparkling blush grape juice, along with a customized Playlist and you have a hostess gift that will always get you invited back! 💖

I can not say enough about how much I enjoyed this book! I liked the arrangement of the book, by feeling, and how the author created a playlist to go with the drinks and the feelings.The drinks were delicious and the recipes were easy to follow. The descriptions tying the drink to a song were thoughtful and fun to read. I had never even considered making simple syrup let alone a flavored simple syrup but the directions were straightforward, the results yummy and I will be making them again. Full page colorful photographs accompanied most drinks and added to the appeal of this book. I made many of these drinks over Thanksgiving with my family and it was a perfect addition to the celebrations. For those that don’t drink alcohol many of the drinks would be delightful as a mocktail. This is a book I will be turning to again and again!

I highly recommend this book! Add it to your collection of recipe books and gift a copy to friends that love pop music and cocktails.

I enjoyed all the recipes I tried and I marked some more to try in the future. I also found it easy to make the cocktails alcohol-free (mine is a dry house) and still taste great. They were easy to make with clear directions. I also loved that each one was inspired by a song by a female pop star! The book was organized by “playlist” theme—putting all the songs on longing together, all those on rage together, etc.—which was also fun. Ingredients aren’t complicated. I didn’t already have all the ingredients for all the cocktails, but I did for many and everything was either easy to acquire or substitute for something else. My only complaint was that I would have preferred to have an index at the end so I can search all the other recipes that use a certain ingredient, for example. Or all the other martini-based cocktails. But the recipes themselves were awesome and the photos are stunning! Definitely recommend if cocktails or mocktails are your thing!

This was such a fun cocktail recipe book. It was so easy to follow and set up in such a fun way (play lists!) that I found myself going back time and time again to try out a new cocktail.

I never realized how much fun you can have just by adding pretty colors and glitter to your drinks. And Sip Me, Baby, One More Time not only made me realize I want cool glasses to drink out of, but that I actually enjoy making cocktails too. We have a whole little set up now, and I know we’ll keep going back to try out the other cocktails we didn’t make it to during the mixalong.

Even if you’re not a huge cocktail fan, there are so many ways to make these into mocktails or less strong. This is one recipe book I’ll be talking about all the time with friends, for the drinks and the vibes.

The only thing missing from this book was an index so you could flip to a cocktail more quickly.

Full color pages, clear instructions, and a super fun layout. This book is for all fans of female pop stars and anyone that loves a good beverage! Turn on the music and mix up your new favorite drink, I literally loved every one I tried! I did leave out the egg whites because I just couldn't get on board, lol, but the other ingredients were easy to find and yummy. My favorite was a pineapple fruit punch cocktail that I made into a mocktail for my kids. They LOVED it. (So did I!)

Ashley Gibson came up with such a unique and fun concept for a cocktail recipe book. All of the recipes felt very doable and could be modified to mocktails or switching out liquors depending on your preferences. I loved how she had all of the simple syrups at the beginning of the book and her blurbs with each recipe were the best!

Over the course of a little more than a week, I tried several different cocktails and they were delicious and so much fun to make! For the first time, I made a lavender syrup and it tastes and smelled so good. Can’t wait to try other drinks soon!

Had such a fun time with this book and the cocktails. Also included an amazing Playlist to go along with each one from the most iconic pop singers known today. Each drink can be turned into a mock tail as well. So buy it and get your group together for a fun night in.
