I received an advance reader copy of this book to read in exchange for an honest review via netgalley and the publishers.

Beyoncé is a well deserved and one of the most inspirational additions to the Little People Big Dreams series for children. The artwork is beautiful, and I especially loved the crazy in love illustration and the ones with Beyoncé singing and her roar.
This is going to be a popular addition to the series and shows her life from a quiet young girl to stages through her career, including her childhood achievements and bands to the present day and becoming a mother.
I loved how inspiring this book is to young children today and how it shows that with hard work and determination, you can achieve great things.

I loved everything about this splendid bio of Queen Bey except the cover. Beyoncé deserves a cover that reflects her true beauty. That said, this new addition to the remarkable Little People, Big Dreams series is one I highly recommend for Beyoncé lovers of all ages. Enjoy!

Little baby Bey was adorable! I loved reading Beyoncé’s story! She is a very huge pop sensation and has truly paved the way for many artists through her art & musical genius! I loved learning facts about her art, and didn’t know many of the personal facts I learned in this book. I think the theme of the book is “keep reaching for your dreams!” And also our dreams require hard work & dedication, but we can do it when we work hard!

I think the illustrations could have been a little better!

I love the Little People, Big Dreams series which feature biographies written for young readers. The focus of this is Beyonce and I did learn a little about her life from it. I took from it she found her passion and went after it finding great success. I was happy to have read it but I’m always a little cautious about purchasing books about living celebrities for my library as their lives are not complete. And entertainers particularly can fall from public favor. But Beyonce deserves her recognition as a performer, artist, business woman and mother.

I got this on NetGalley in exchange for an honest review!

I love this series of small biographies for kids, and this was no different! Loved how it really focuses on ALL parts of Beyonce’s life and her various big achievements and not just the ones as a solo artist!

A great say for kids to learn more about Beyonce!

The ARC of this book was provided by the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

The ‘My First Little People, Big Dreams’ series provides informative and inspirational biographies about people who left a mark on this earth, no matter what difficulties they have encountered.
These stories are very short, but that’s because they’re books for children, so it’s totally understandable.
I think they are a very smart and wonderful way to introduce little children to such important figures.
In this little book here we have the story of Beyoncé, the so-called Queen Bey, the famous superstar. Beyoncé has always loved singing, and she spent all her childhood and adolescence pursuing her dream. and not only did she achieve her goal, she overtook it. She's now one of the most influential people in the world, being a great singer, performer, businesswoman, and role model.

Personally, I am not a fan of Beyoncè. But, I was still a little curious about her life when she younger.

This bio-book barely touches on different parts of her life. It flies through it extremely quickly. So, if you want a good biography, this one is not for you.

But, it has adorable artwork. And, it's written in a way to keep children - who have short attention spans - interested. So, it should go over well with the grade school children which are its' intended audience.

I think almost everyone has heard of Beyoncé and listened to at least one of her songs. In this addition to the Little People, BIG DREAMS collection, we meet the young Beyoncé who sang and danced around her house, yard and in front of her friends. Who would have thought that she was shy and worried about performing when she was a young girl. Winning many talent shows as a child, she finally began her career as a member of Girls Tyme at the age of 9. After different members and group names, Destiny's Child was born. Eventually going out on her own, Beyoncé became a household name in many countries. I always like seeing what these stars do with their influence and Beyoncé has a charity to support Black owned businesses and speaks out against racism and sexism. The illustrations by Jade Orlando are a bit quirky and don't do her beauty justice, but, they still share the development, growth and happiness of the young Beyoncé until the present. I recommend this book and series to families, schools and public libraries, especially to younger readers, although I enjoy these little books as well.

Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara has written four children’s books that will be released in early 2024: Lenny Henry, Tenzing Norgay, Sally Ride, and Beyonce. These books are part of the bestselling Little People, BIG DREAMS biography series for kids. Each book is 32 pages and beautifully illustrated. They are perfect for reading to small children during “quiet time”.

Beyoncé Knowles was a quiet child but loved to sing and dance. After going to see a concert, she wanted to perform for others. She put on shows for customers in her mom's hair salon. After winning a local talent show, Beyoncé joined a new girl singing group, Girls Tyme. The band changed up members and names before becoming Destiny's Child, and they became stars due to their catchy songs and dance routines. Eventually Beyonce embarked on a solo career and has been nominated for more Grammy Awards than anyone else in history. She married musician Jay-Z and balances marriage, motherhood, and business.

I learned something pretty cool from this book.

I grew up in the era of Destiny’s Child & then the rise of Beyonce. I saw this book and at my grown age, I had to read it.

I love how even the drawings are reminiscent of real outfits Beyonce and Destiny’s child has worn, even down to pictures of her as a child.

It’s a cute biography for children that would definitely encourage them to sit in silence and enjoy the wonders of their own possibilities.

I volunteered to read this ARC through NetGalley

This is a fun children's book discussing the story of the entertainer, Beyonce. The illustrations are very cute and eye-catching. I think children will absolutely enjoy this book and learn quite a bit about her life, especially before she became famous. This is part of a series of biographies, Little People, Big Dreams written by this author that are well researched and engaging. I look forward to new additions to the series.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for this ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

This is a another fantastic edition to this wonderful series for young children. Beyoncé is a household name all over the world so I enjoyed discovering more about her childhood and I loved the illustrations by Jade Orlando. I didn’t realise that she’d won so many talent competitions as a young child or that she was in girl groups before Destiny’s child. Highly recommended for younger readers.

As a K - 5 teacher, I enjoyed this book. The illustrations are kid-friendly and could help provide visuals during class read alouds. The text would help children in grades 3 - 5 learn more about Beyoncé's rise to fame. The timeline runs from her childhood all the way through the present and pages have one to two sentences which makes the text accessible to children of all ages. The last page has real pictures of Destiny's Child and and a few pictures of Beyoncé winning her prizes and a few performances.

The only thing that I wish were different is the illustrations. I wish they looked a little more like Beyoncé, but they are kid-friendly and they are colorful.

I just love these books by the Little People BIG DREAMS series.
But this latest book Beyoncé by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara just made me laugh! I found the illustrations colourful but did not promote Beyonce beauty, they just missed the mark this time around, usually I give 5 stars. But a good book.

We discover the inspiring life of Beyoncé, the chart-topping beautiful superstar. Beyoncé who was quiet as a child but always enjoyed singing and dancing. But, at a young age, she went to see a concert, and from that moment on, she felt inspired to perform. She loved putting on shows for the people having their hair cut in her mom's salon, but knew she was destined for a bigger audience. After winning a local talent show, Beyoncé joined the newly formed girl group Girls Tyme. The band eventually became Destiny's Child and shot to stardom with their catchy R&B songs and fierce dance routines. As a solo artist, she has since achieved incredible success with numerous number one hits, including 'Irreplaceable' and 'Crazy in Love', and several critically acclaimed and award-winning albums, including 'I am... As a mom, I’ve always been interested in making sure my children are aware of the strong women who have blazed a trail in life, pursued their dreams and overcome obstacles. It’s one reason that the Little People, Big Dreams series has been present in our home since our children were babies. This latest book on Beyoncé is a fantastic new addition to the ones we have and gently showcases how Beyoncé grew from a little girl from Houston into the powerhouse Queen she is today. It’s presented in an age-appropriate way and doesn’t get too bogged down in details that young readers may not be interested in, choosing to focus instead on how Beyoncé discovered her passion and pursued it. The illustrations were lovely, as they always are in this series, and I appreciated the empowering, positive vibes and girl power that subtly runs through the book (appropriate, given Beyoncé’s platform and what she’s known for). The timeline in the back of the book was interesting and really demonstrated her many accomplishments, which would be encouraging for many young readers to see that anything is possible. I also enjoyed that there was a small box at the end of the book for further reading for anyone interested in knowing more about her. Overall, a good introduction to a wonderful, modern feminist role model—one I’m looking forward to sharing with my girls!

Beyoncé by Maria Isabel Sanchez Vegara explores the life of this bright and beautiful personality. Her first ‘gig’ was singing for a captive audience at her mother's hair salon, where she occasionally earned tips. Not long after, Beyoncé became lead singer of a kid band called Girls Tyme. (Not gonna lie- that sounds very exploitative to me.) She grew through several bands before finally releasing her first solo work, and from there the rest is history! Beyoncé’s style has influenced genres of music and she is today one of the most awarded female singers. Notable accomplishments also include singing at Obama's inauguration and performing a Super Bowl halftime show.

The entire Little People, Big Dreams series is an awesome introduction to biographical reading for young audiences. Not only that, but they focus on the most inspirational of people from science, entertainment, sports, politics and more. It’s also a very diverse series.

At the end is a section with more detailed information on Beyoncé’s life, suitable for older readers. Inspirational and educational both, this entire series is great, and full of delightful art to engage younger audiences!

This is a new book in the ‘Little People, Big Dreams’ series which is out in April 2024.

I had read some others in the series previously with my eldest child which were focused on historical characters.

I thought the illustrations were great and complimented the story of Beyoncé. There were some aspects about her that I had been unaware of as despite her long-standing success I did not have a lot of knowledge of Beyoncé other than her hit songs. As always with the books in this condensed style it is not possible to include all things about their subjects. I am enjoying the series covering a wider range of famous people and those from contemporary times.

I would rate this book 3.5 stars (rounded up to 4 stars).

Thank you to the publisher, Quarto Publishing Group - Frances Lincoln Children's Books for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

🌟🌟🌟🌟

This was a fantastic little people book about Queen Bey. The thing that disappointed me a little is the illustrations. They just missed the mark this time around with that.

Story wise, as always well told.

There is also a pic of B where Blue Ivy and her could be carbon copy at the age.

As a small child Beyonce dreamt of being a singer and sang to any audience whenever she could. Soon she worked with a group that changed and more until she became a solo performer who developed dance moves that were popular in all corners of the world. Beyonce has changed the music scene forever.
The illustrations by Jade Orlando are fun, simple, brilliantly colorful, and delightful.
Well suited for reading WITH someone of any age including ESL, and great for gifting to anyone, but especially to a school or your local public library!

My Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

Received for review: I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Why did I decide to turn the pages? I love this series. Most of the books are very informative, and I love the diverse representation in the series. So when I was given the chance to review it, I took it.

My Overall Thoughts/Impressions: I loved the illustrations in this one and the theme about reaching for your dreams and working for them. The illustrations of Beyonce singing were particularly well done. It can be tricky to write books about people who are still alive, but I thought this did a good job hitting on the most important parts of Beyonce's life. I think fans will enjoy this one.

Pages: 32

Reading age: 4-7 years of age.

With thanks of the author, publishers Quarto Publishing Group, and NetGalley for providing me with an eARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

Another wonderful instalment in the Little People BIG DREAMS series.

Beyoncé is known to just about everyone these days of course, but for me at least her backstory was more of a mystery. This informative little book tells of her early times as a young entertainer, as well as the various groups she was a member of before she really hit the big time. Throughout her qualities as a humble individual who is proud of her roots and where she came from shine through.

The illustrations were bright and full of energy to compliment the story being told, while the timeline at the end of the book along with tips on where to find more details about Beyoncé were a great inclusion.

While I am a fan of this biography series for kids, and a fan of Beyoncé, I think I can remove myself professionally and still review this book objectively.

And, it's great.

Not only does Little People, Big Dreams: Beyoncé celebrate Queen Bey herself; the book celebrates perseverance, passion, and Black Excellence. If you're collecting the Little People, Big Dreams biographies...or selectively choosing for your library (like I do), this is a must-buy.

Thanks to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for a free e-copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
