Yuka and Kosuke are finally dating. Unfortunately, she’s too shy to even hold his hand, nevermind anything beyond that. A month has passed without a kiss, so Yuka runs to her friend Yukiho for dating advice. She’s gonna make a romantic atmosphere, no matter what!
Still cute, but it does feel like we’re sort of fumbling around, the creator not knowing where to take the story now that the leads have gotten together.
Throughout this volume, I kept thinking about how strange it is in manga for every couple to need to"find time" to be together, so it was nice to see this addressed. They saw each other all the time before they were dating. And now they go weeks without seeing each other. And progression is sloooow.
This is also another manga where the plot gets split and we now also fall into someone's dating life. How much this bugs me depends on the series and the characters. I'm neutral for now here. It could help since the main two spend a good chunk of time in their heads, or it could drag out a story that could easily end in the next to volume.
Fuji and Yuka start dating and it’s been slow. There’s not a lot of communication when it comes to certain things but they are just getting started. Yuka has some confidence issues but she’s trying to overcome them while Fuji is taking the relationship at a pace that makes his girlfriend comfortable. There are some funny mishaps until they run into an old classmate that likes to gossip. We also get a little chapter on an outing between their coworkers that gives off future side couple vibes.
The pace of this is just glacial. As Fuji says multiple times, how are they seeing each other less when dating than when they were just friends? Yuka's insecurities are too overdone for me and I found the relationship more annoying than anything else.
