Bubble-gum stories from an alternate Batverse where Batman and all his helpers live in Wayne Manor as one big foster family. It's cute and funny, though it occasionally overreaches as it tries to be touching also.

The creators have found their groove and are sticking to it.

More Bat Fam shenanigans. Lots of guests in this one, including Jon Kent. Art seemed a bit off, but these stories are so good I'll pass on docking stars for that.

~Thoughts 🍵~
I really love how the progression of these small stories shed a light that humanizes characters that aren’t seen in the brightest light by DC fans. It’s really lovely to see a new side of their lives and the characterisation of everyone. Although Batman WFA aren’t seen as “canon” to some fans, due to how the characters seem to”soft”, in my opinion, it’s still important. Everyone has rough edges, but they also have something soft deep down. Seeing darker sides and lighter sides are equally important to understand and appreciate someone. This series doesn’t shy away from darker aspects of their thoughts and past, which gives it a nice balance to the fluffier storylines. I love how Duke, Cass, and Kate, got more attention with stories that centred them. Plus I really love seeing the dynamics between other characters outside of the bat family. And of course I love Jason’s story, it was just ✨✨✨ (coming from a Jason Todd fan).

There are some cute stories here.

Some highlights:
- the snowball fight
- the chapter where they try to get Bruce away from the Batcomputer
- the story with Aquaman was pretty cute
- the story where Cass is challenging everyone to catch her sneaking up on them
- the story where Jason, Dick, and Kate have to pick out a batsuit for Bruce was funny
- the story with Dick and one of Ivy's plants was cute

The best stories for me were
- the convo between Luke and Duke was great. (Just realized their names rhyme). I think it was an intentional choice to have Luke be the one to talk to Duke about not making himself smaller. Because he had so little time in a partnership with Bruce in canon (Pretty much just All Star Batman, from what I remember - and I actually enjoyed that series so much I bought it), we don't get to see much of how Duke viewed his time with Bruce. Of course he'd have some complex around being a meta because he's the only Batfam member that is one. CRC Payne did a great job having someone that could relate on a more crucial level (Luke) having this convo with Duke.
- Bruce vs. the PTA. That's such a fun image of him doing more traditional parenting things
- Cass and Damian working together - DC canon still refuses to capitalize on how similar their backstories are. Honestly, Cass, Damian, and Jean Paul have quite a bit in common. The emphasis that Damian viewed Cass as a person, not a weapon was a really nice touch.
- Kate's story about perseverance was good. Reminded me of her part in Detective Comics' early Rebirth stories
- I really enjoyed Jon and Damian shadowing Lois Lane for a day. This was such a cool idea that I'm bummed it never happened in canon. Most of the contrast in their upbringing is brought up in the context of how their fathers parent. Lois got left out of pretty much all of that. I liked how she showed them a different way to be a hero.

I enjoy the stories that bring something new and develop the characters in ways we likely won't get in the canon. This one had 3 stories overall that did that and the rest were pretty much just cute little stories, but enjoyable.

I had no idea this series existed until it came in at the library. It looked silly and cute so I figured I would give it a try. I was expecting more of a continuous story, but these 'issues' (or episodes, to use the term in the comic itself) are all essentially small one-shots. Everyone is a bit silly, some characters more than others, while still feeling at least a little connected to their canon personalities. Basically just a fluffy family dynamic, and holy heck the number of bat-people/new robins has proliferated since I stopped reading DC regularly. Keeping everyone straight outside the main 3 Robins was definitely hard for me. I don't know if I would recommend reading the whole thing straight through either; I enjoyed it but I almost didn't want to keep reading the series because it does get to be a bit repetitive after 25 'episodes' back to back. Definitely some gem stories/panels in each volume though.

Still consistently my favourite Batman comic. Look, I love regular Batman stuff, but this is what my heart wants. This is the stuff that heals my inner child and recharges me. Everything has its place, and for me, found family and wholesome goodness is where I want to be.

And also this one is up! So happy that this series is getting bundled, it makes it much easier to keep track given that Webtoon ONCE again forgot all my progress. Thanks. That means for the next one I will have to see how much I already read. But this is a great series and I love the amount of character arcs and love they get, the fab stories, humour along with seriousness, and of course the fab art. Onwards to Vol.5.

Another sick day, another day of reading through a mountain of pages. I'm doing the review for all of the published volumes of WFA in one instead of doing an individual review for each volume. I gave volume 1 a 4.5 star rating, I gave volume 2 a 4.25 star rating, and the rest got 4 star ratings. When I realized WFA had been published I added them all to my wishlist. I got volumes 1 and 2 for Christmas and borrowed the rest from the library so I could marathon my way through them. In Wayne Family Adventures, we follow Bruce and his family through their daily lives as Batman and his sidekicks. We also see the life in Wayne Manor including holidays, sick days, snow days, and the many pets of Damien Wayne.

There's just something about these comics that really makes me happy. I wish we had a whole movie series like this about Bruce Wayne and his way too many children. I feel like the Robert Pattison Batman could pull that off, but I digress. It turns out that I've already technically read all the comics that have been collected for the printed volumes, but it was still fun to read and there were a ton of things I had forgotten which added to the experience. If we have to know, I'll just say it here, Red Hood is my favorite Batman sidekick. I said what I said. Although, Damien is just blunt and hilarious too.

I apparently stopped after #116 which means I have two seasons to catch up on Webtoon, but since they aren't bound up in book format, I won't include them in my reading stats and reviews going forward. But this was a great way to spend a sick day on the couch.

I wasn't crazy about the last volume but I loved this one. There was a lot more variety in the people the family interacted with (Bizarro! Black Canary! Aquaman!) and a wider range of stories than just domestic fluff with the Batfam. Although my favorite story was pure domestic fluff centering around the Kent family where Clark taught Conner how to shave using laser vision and Jon helped (yay, Jon Kent). I also really liked the story with Jon and Damian going around with Lois Lane to gather information for a local story she was doing on illegal landlord practices--very nice when superhero comics explore issues that can't be solved by punching a guy in a mask. Great volume in the series and I'm excited to keep going with it.

I’m loving how this volume expands beyond the Batfamily by bringing in characters from other teams like the Outlaws, Justice League, Young Justice, and more. Even if I don’t know everything about those teams or their series, it’s still incredibly fun to see their interactions with the Batfamily outside of Wayne Manor.
And inside the manor? The snowball fight was so wholesome, it captured the heart of this series perfectly.
But one of the absolute highlights has to be Bruce’s ultimate nemesis… on the PTA. Iconic.

But my absolute favorite part of the entire series so far was Chapter 92, Newsflash, and seeing the friendship between Jon and Damian. The most precious sons, the most amazing sons—the SUPERSONS are here, baby! Supersons forever!

These WEBTOON comics remain some of my favourite pieces of fiction and art—as I’ve previously said in other reviews I find it clear that the author and artist are clearly both talented and passionate about what they do and stay true to how many fans see the characters, giving them wholesome moments and storylines that are something truly needed in the DCU, as well as the art being visually pleasing for all characters which again, is something DC sometimes lacks. This story brought several characters from outside the Wayne family and definitely added to the story as a whole. Particularly, I enjoyed seeing Wally and Dick together for the short story they had and hope to maybe see more of them together.

Maybe in some universe, Konnor and Clark are father and son. Unfortunately, it is not this universe either 😔

Phenomenal, as always. I did notice many of the larger panels were somewhat pixelated; I didn’t remember that from previous volumes. The artwork is fantastic, but a little more attention could be put into the conversion from webtoon art to a physical graphic novel.

My only complaint is why do all the batboys look identical to Bruce. Like i cannot tell them apart. Is this just a me problem??? Am i colorblind??? Do I have face blindness or something??? But to me it's just 👨🏻👨🏻👨🏻👨🏻
