Arranged marriage. He bullied her for years. They both hate each other. The first 50% was good but the then I put it down for a week or so. I just couldn’t get back into it so I trudged through r on the end.

I’m going back and forth between a 4 and a 4.5 on this one. This is my first time reading this author and I really enjoyed this book. Mafia books are definitely my jam and enemies to lovers is one of my favorite tropes so putting those together made for a great read!! I really enjoyed the writing and the plot was kept me interested!

These two are definitely enemies. There’s no secret mutual pining that we sometimes see in enemies to lovers, they really hated each other.

Mia is the unwanted mafia princess who is not quite a princess because she’s a tomboy, one of the guys. This is something Gabriel cannot stand. He doesn’t understand why she can’t be the docile mafia girl she’s supposed to be. This made for a lifelong battle between the two. Mia doesn’t understand why Gabriel can’t just let her be. He has to get her in trouble with her dad every time she does something he doesn’t like and this last time is the last straw with her dad. Gabriel unknowingly creates a shit storm that has Mia’s dad forcing her to marry before her sister, Luna, can marry the man she loves.

The last person Mia wants to marry? Gabriel Lombardo. And he knows this, so what does he do? Makes sure that he’s the one she has to marry so he can break her down. He blames her for the most terrible time in his life.

These two fought tooth and nail against each other. But eventually found out how compatible they were and not just in the bedroom. I loved how much Mia fought. When he told her to change her boyish clothes and embarrassed her in front of his men what did she do? Stripped right down in front of his men giving them an eyeful and causing Gabriel to punch this cousin for looking and pull a trigger on someone else. She was super sassy but when she let her guard down she was sweet. But I didn’t like her betrayal. She definitely lost points with me on that one because I didn’t feel like it was warranted. So that’s probably the reason for the missing star.

Gabriel didn’t want to want Mia but the more they spent time together the more he couldn’t resist. He says he just wants to break her and then let her go but he definitely had touch her and die vibes. Shit, even look at her and die vibes. He definitely grew on me and I loved how possessive he was.

Both of these MCs went through some hard times and I honestly felt for both of them. They helped each other come out of it on the other end though.

I liked the plot and how different this enemies to lovers story was. There were definitely some character flaws with both main characters. They both had habits of jumping to conclusions, especially Mia. It kind of annoyed me how far she was willing to go with no real evidence because of assumptions and previous bias. Especially when it went against not just Gabriel but the whole mafia lifestyle, it was like she really didn't think things through for how bad that could have really ended. So when things finally came to light, which for a second it seemed like it wouldn't, I think she got off super easy. She should have atleast had some groveling to do. They both did each other wrong but in the end she came out to be more the nuisance, I also didn't understand how she wanted to be involved and one of the guys so much, but was frozen in the heat of things and constantly having to end up being helped or rescued. I expected her to be a bit more capable, more of a bada**. She wasn't completely a damsel but I think the events showed she was lacking in many areas. Gabriel was a jerk, and blamed her for something kind of crazy and made her suffer for it but he turned out to be very protective and understanding. He was a good guy although he made some crazy and sometimes reckless decisions. I was a bit disappointed the father got away with his actions especially without understanding and talking full accountability and showing the proper remorse. The sister was nice and sweet but definitely a bit selfish with no real regard for how her sister had to suffer all just to make sure she got what she wanted and was happy. Overall it was a good real that good or bad, provoked emotions from the characters to the storyline. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily

This is my first book by Lauren Marcie, but it won’t be my last. I was hooked from the first page and Could Not Put It Down!

Gabriel and Mia are two halves of a broken whole and they just don’t know it yet. Forced into marriage to Gabriel so that her sister may marry the man she loves, Mia is immediately plotting ways she can force Gabriel to divorce her, or at least make him miserable. All of which backfires, on both of them.

A lot of dark mafia books explore the relationships between women and men, as well as the roles women are expected to play. But most of them don’t look at what happens when a woman refuses to play the role assigned to her. Lauren has done a masterful job creating characters and building a world for them to grow, (and rebel in), as they explore the boundaries of their relationship and the roles their world and society has demanded of them. It’s a great book. I loved Mia’s character, she’s strong, she isn’t fearless, neither does she necessarily always hide her fear. She knows that Gabriel can see it, instead she refuses to let it control her or rule her decisions. It’s this piece of her that Gabriel comes to respect first I think, he has to come to grips with his ideas of traditional versus what will make his marriage work. All of this against the back drop of the mafia world.

Both of them have dark traumas in their pasts, (without giving anything away), it’s when Gabriel is willing to let go of his, and try and heal Mia’s that there is a real turning point. They still need to learn to trust. The ‘plot twist’ is the best part of the book, I love Mia, disobeying Gabriel again! It made me laugh, but even better, it made him laugh. You’ll love this book.

The story and plot were well written. It was the perfect blend of heat and heart. What I loved most about it was the natural progression and transition from hate to love between the main characters. Gabriel is the feared, and well respected underboss who believes and upholds its traditions and customs. Mia is a Costa Nostra princess that lives outside the rules and wants to defy those same traditions. Mia, despite being broken from the past, exudes a strength and independence lacking in majority of her peers. The two could not be any more opposite, but an arranged marriage brings them together and they learn just how well they fit together. It was easy to relate to each characters inner struggle as they came to grasp and accept their new found feelings. There was no unnecessary drama or miscommunication. Every aspect flowed and made sense. I was drawn in from start to finish. This author has a new fan!

This was an Arranged Marriage, Enemies To Lovers, Dark Mafia Romance and Close Proximity Tropes.
I always get a bit excited with a new Mafia Romance and I have a quiet high standards regarding it. I'm glad to say Lauren has managed to pull it off and it was a fantastic read..
Mia and Gabriel are childhood Enemies.
Mia has a lot of trauma from her past so her character is a destructive one as expected.
She was hoping it would be enough to put off any relationship. Until she has to accept an Arranged marriage to appease her horrid family. Only gets worse when it's her enemy.
I loved the fight between these two. Definitely a fight of hatred and desire but you know desire will always win. Gabriel was sure he was going to break her until her past comes and clashes with her present. The all bets are off and no one harms what's his..
Action, drama, twists, mystery, witty banter, angsty, emotional, love and spice.

OMG! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book, this story was mesmerising and the characters were absolutely captivating. This story was about Gabriel Lombardo and Mia Amante, Gabriel is ex-milatary and now he is running the family business and is also with the Cosa Nostra. Gabriel is also trying to avoid a war with the Bratva. Mia, when she was seventeen her father organised three males to rough her up a bit, now she wears clothes that are too big for her she gambles and drinks like a male she has a bad attitude. Mia's sister wants to marry the male she is in love with, the father has stipulated Mia has to be married first. Gabriel and Mia hate each other alot, he told her things that make her cringe. Her father has signed the contract so now she has know idea who she will marry now she wants to run.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (4/5)
Genre: Mafia Romance
Series: Y
FMC: Mia
MMC: Gabriel
POV: First Person, Dual POV
Heat: 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
HEA: Yes
Tropes: Mafia Romance, Arranged Marriage, Enemies to Lovers

"Untamed Vice" impressed me with its well-crafted plot, seamlessly blending passion and emotion. The natural progression from hate to love between Gabriel, the traditional underboss, and Mia, the rebellious mafia princess, felt genuine. Despite Mia's past traumas, her strength and independence added depth to her character. The arranged marriage plot was skilfully executed, and the absence of unnecessary drama and miscommunication made for a smooth and logical narrative. I was drawn in from start to finish, and this author has gained a new fan with their compelling storytelling.

Wow! This was everything a good mafia romance should be! I genuinely liked both characters. Mia wasn't some wilting violet, but she also wasn't just angry and obnoxious. I could really feel the layers of her character. Gabriel was commanding and dominate without being completely unreasonable. Their chemistry was perfect, you could really feel the passion and how it went from hate to love. The sex scenes were hot and passionate, but not gratuitous. The pacing was great, no parts dragged or felt tedious and I had no problem finishing in record time.

Secrets and a lack of communication nearly doom this mafioso and mafia princess. Mia is a mafia princess who doesn’t want to be one – she wants to be a mafia capo. Gabriel is the son of a mafia don and is not looking for love or marriage. They’ve known and detested each other most of their lives. But if they only knew the other’s secret and how long and deeply their own actions affected the other, their road when thrown together would have been easier and happier. This is a story that will make you cry and laugh, sometimes at the same time. Lauren Marcie has penned a compelling, emotional and hot story.

Wow, this novel was so good! This is a new author for me and I really enjoyed this novel. I love mafia novels, arranged marriage and enemies to lovers and this novel had it all. From the very first chapter this novel reached out and grabbed me and would not let go until the very last page. Even then I did not want this novel to end. I loved Mia and Gabriel's story. I loved the chemistry between these two. I loved the dialogue and the banter. I love when a novel can make me laugh, almost bring me to tears and finally leaves me with a happy heart. This novel checked all of my boxes. I look forward to what this author has coming next.

This was a really good story. Plenty of action. Gabriel was your typical broody Mafia Don. I liked the fact that Mia wanted something different for herself and that she wanted to change the way things were done. I didnt, however like the way she went about things sometimes. She really did annoy me at times and I did find her immature.

Having said that, I think the times where she stood strong and really held her own outweighed these moments.

I enjoyed the writing and it flowed easily. Really good storyline

This was an easy 4.5 star read for me!

I loved it so much, I enjoyed the charecter growth from the heroine but wish we had a bit more of a dual POV, would of loved to hear more from his side and would of loved an epilogue from his POV as well!

It was very very well written and I am excited to look at Lauren Marcies other work!

I did receive an advance review copy for free however this review is entirely my opinion and am leaving it voluntarily :)

First up there are some triggers, but if you get past them get ready for a read.

This isn't your typical arranged mafia marriage book. Mia is very spirited and Gabriel is wanting to tame her. They have known each other a long time and have a very hate relationship. But when opportunities present, Gabriel pounces to wed. They both have secrets and they take awhile to come to the surface, but it makes them stronger in the end.

Oh my bruised heart! I literally read this over 6 hrs -finished at 2am it was that good. Gosh these two characters are so broken and just need to be loved and healed instead of punished more.

The ebb and flow of sensual moments, smouldering looks, growing understanding and forgiveness - what a weepy but happy read!

Classic enemy to lover. Some areas drag on. I do like Mia and eventually like Gabriel. But I feel like there was a bit to much filler in this book.
