One of the shittier textbooks I've had to read. Lots of information on individual artists, particular movements, I'll give him that, but none of it feels particularly relevant. Just regurgitating facts in such a way that it adds no real value to one's understanding of popular music beyond random facts.

Also, this book is terribly bound and desperately needs to be proofread.
