I started this book because a group that is being implemented within the organization I work for mentioned it during a leadership session. I wanted to read it to have a better understanding of one of the co-authors, prior to her presenting to us. Quickly, I realized this book was gold and written by several women who were instrumental in the healthcare industry. Often, I was reminded of the saying “Be the woman who fixes another woman’s crown, without telling the world it’s crooked.” This book reminded me that all of life’s trials, tribulations, and triumphs, make you uniquely you. Accept the good and bad and look forward toward the future and the unknown!

This book is a must read! There is so much power to inspire if we are vulnerable and share our stories. I’m so grateful to the humans who took the time to talk about where they have been, where they are today and where they are going. Each of them is committed to helping others. This is a book for all of us to know we are not alone and how together we can move this crazy world forward with compassion, curiosity and kindness.
