The solar eclipse is coming and my fated mate is my only hope…
My sole intention in finding my fated mate was to break my curse. But after almost losing Celeste to my enemies, now I can’t imagine my life without her.
Yet my developing feelings for Celeste won’t protect her from our powerful enemy, Sabine. Or the Solar Sovereign’s evil magic that seeks to prevent me from breaking my curse at the impending solar eclipse.
Our only choice is for Celeste to work fast to harness her abilities. She continues to surprise me with her growing powers, but when someone close to us is threatened, the temptation for her to use dark magic becomes dangerously strong.
I refuse to let her risk her life for me. Once I would have done anything to break my curse, except that was before my fated mate bewitched me. And now I fear I’ll be forced to make a choice between my freedom and her safety…
“Not for the first time, I wished I could shed my responsibilities.”
Fair warning, this isn’t just a cliffhanger, this is part three of a serial story. Supposedly the next installment will be the conclusion but since we were originally told there were only three parts and we’re still not done, I remain skeptical. To be honest, if it wasn’t such an interesting story, I would have quit it by now. But I’m still reading because I need to know how it all works out.
This installment is just as action packed as the first two and ends with another anxiety inducing twist. I’m starting to think the universe is determined to keep Fenris and Celeste from finding their HEA. No spoilers and we have to wait five long months for the conclusion. This is really trying my patience. I need these two to finally be safe and happy forever. Oh, and it goes without saying you must read the first two parts first.
I enjoyed Skye Wilson's writing so much I had to read another of her series. I literally binge read this trilogy so I honestly can't really remember where one book ends and the next begins so this will be my review of all. Did this need to be three books, 900 pages total? No. But did I still enjoy reading them, yeah!
They were fun, the characters were easily likeable and noone really felt too useless to the plot. Although the characters added in the later books did feel flatter and shoved in, (mainly liana) Was it slightly predictable that everyone ended up with someone in the close circle, yes but I wasn't too mad about it. As mentioned, this could have been shorter, the second book especially had a lot of what felt like unnecessary events in it, that could have been cut out or sped over. Same in the last book. I did find myself wanting for a resolution by the end as it felt it was dragged out a lot.
I did love the romance and I appreciated how it was slowly built up, none of the insta-love mate stuff. I also loved that they argued and then actually resolved it like adults having a mature conversation.
I wish we found out more about her dad. It also felt like it leant a lot into the witch part of her and nothing into the other part, or ever really explained how she was that or why it mattered. It literally had no impact on the plot.
Book one was my favourite as it had the best pacing and made me love the characters, and intrigued to read on. Two was the typical lul you get in mid-series books, but not bad by any means. By three, I was too many pages deep to give up and I wanted a resolution so read on, but really didn't live up to the first in the series.
>I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 2nd in the Lunar Bride series and ends in a cliffhanger. Celeste and Fenris are on the same page, relationship-wise. There is a new threat by the Solar Sovereign trying to kill Fenris. Fenris’ brother, Lyka, is introduced and a lot more of Fenris’ backstory. Fenris and Lyka interacting shows Fenris’ humanity.
>Fenris argues with Celeste regarding how much he cares about his pack, his brother and humans. The secondary characters are all back and pairing up, which is funny.
>This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this book 4 stars. The book spent too long discussing the new threat. There needs to be a lot more action.
This a continuation of Celeste and Fenris the wolf lords story. There is a lot going on. When Celeste is rescued from her cell by an unknown individual and is reunited with Fenris they must find a safe place for Celeste to practice her magic. They must also defeat Sabine and the solar Sovereign if the curse on Fenris is to be broken. There is however a hidden treachery working against them from within. Now that Fenris cares for Celeste that makes everything harder for Fenris as he doesn't want to risk her life. Will they succeed? Check this continuing storyline to see.

As the story continues, Fenris needs to rescue Celeste, but someone releases her from her cell and she manages to escape. Reunited the two need to stop Sabine and find the Solar Sovereign if they are to ever break the curse. But there is treachery from within and Celeste finds herself in an impossible situation, one that will mean the death of Fenris. An interesting story that leads to what I hope will be a thrilling conclusion.

This story was a very good next book to the series! It revealed the answers that the last book left you with. It also opened up a unknown love going on, but was unknown to the couple. It then, this showed you how true love could be for your opposite unknown love. It then shows you had strength you didn't know that you had. When you did these things for your opposite love it then awakes something your loves life, he didn't know was in him. You both become stronger together. By having this happen you two with help are able to help concur your enemy.
Celeste has a turbulent journey in this book and is desperate to be with Fenris. Both need to band together to battle Sabine and the Solar Sovereign. This follows their journey and their continually developing relationship. Thus book shows what they mean to each other and the lengths they will travel to fight for the people they love. Bear in mind that this ends on a cliffhanger. This book is a very good story. 5 stars!
Celeste, Fenris and their companions continue to battle against the cohorts of the solar sovereign. There are new characters added to the mix and wonderful moments of lightness. Overall this is a tale of a fight against a long hidden evil and is as absorbing and gripping as before and ends in another cliffhanger. Can't wait to see how the heroes overcome the nefarious plans of the truly horrible bad guys.

The continuing story of Celeste & Fenris. I was pretty lost at the start of this book as it didn't pick up where book 2 ended. There was a big gap so it took me a while to get in to as I was trying to work out where the missing part of the story was. We've had a jump where lots of things have happened that are completely missed. This was very annoying. However I was soon pulled back into the story & did enjoy it.
The characters seems more high school than young adults. Celeste is not-headed and caught like fly in a spiders web, what was she thinking using black magic to go rescue her aunt, that was a suicide mission.
I'm still in disbelief that Celeste has not learned any lessons in the paranormal world that what you don't know can still kill you. It's taking a long time to get to the major event that may end in losing a fated mate.
For every choice made there is a consequence. From the first book the story takes a dramatic turn. From there the reader is hooked. Another cliffhanger ending will have the reader looking forward to the next installment.

Loved this third bookin the series, continues on from the previous book and it’s a fast paced read, full of action, drama, romance, I am completely addicted to these books by Skye and thoroughly recommend them, although this is third you’ll need to start with the first if you haven’t read them.

Book 2 picked up exactly where book 1 left off. I enjoyed it. I am disappointed that book 3 isn't going to be released until March 2024. I am looking forward to reading it. I like that the characters arent all serious. It's drama, comedy, romance and suspense all rolled up in one.
Fenrir found Celeste before he lost himself to his wolf but she has to learn how to control and use her powers before Sabine gets them. Also has to keep her magic from turning to black magic. Good book!.

I like this series. It is interesting and I like the characters, though I wish they were a bit more open sometimes. It has lots moments of what the heck is happening right now. But it is overall a good read.
I don’t mind the story line.. it just drags out way too long
This is a continuation of the Lunar Lord and Celeste.. not a lot goes on in the book.. and the conclusion in Book 3 will not come out until March 2024.
XXX! ADULT CONTENT, READER DISCRETION ADVISED. This is a story of hoe Celeste allows pride and fear to rule over logic. It may just be the death of her. Will her unwillingness to wait be with the consequences?
Still an alright read. The heroine is getting a bit more spine and seems like one of those overpowered mary sue "chosen one" type of characters in a way, and it's all a bit obvious but it's still a fun read.
This is different, but I am struggling through. I keep asking myself why I keep reading. There is just enough unanswered questions to keep me moving. However, I really do not really like any of the characters.
